She also followed us up before days before the event to make sure we have no issues. As instructed to me and my crew, we covered the ceremony in Malden. Then,we shifted to the Irish American Club where the reception will be. Gelyn and her crew were there preparing everything. They did the decorations, the DJ services and the catering. We hired Perfectly Coordinated for our wedding in Sterling, MA in late July. We got in touch with…read morePatty a little late in the game. We were interested in her month-of planning package, which she states on her website as being a 6 week process. We were only 5 weeks out when we hired her. We had a consultation with her maybe 2 hours after we reached out via email, and we met her in person for a knowledge exchange 2 days later. From then on, all of the panic, and stress, and frantic worries quickly began to dissipate. Patty was on top of everything! She handled all of the coordination with all of our vendors on the day of the wedding, and she facilitated our rehearsal. She was thoroughly confirming everything with us, and she thought of a lot of really important things that we hadn't considered. We even had some trouble with one of our vendors, and Patty took charge in determining a Plan B for us in case that vendor didn't come through for us. Patty had detailed timelines for everyone involved in the wedding, so everyone knew exactly where to be and when. When it came to the actual wedding day, my wife and I were able to completely relax and enjoy the day. Patty was at the venue, making sure that everything was being setup as per our vision, and making sure vendors were arriving on time. Patty took the time to really get to know us as a couple, and what we wanted to see on our wedding day. She was so easy to work with, and you can tell she's one of those people who has really found her calling, and is doing exactly what she loves to do. I can't stress enough how wonderful Patty was, and how our stress level did a complete 180 from the day before we met Patty, to our wedding day. Though my wife and I made all of the decisions, Patty is really the one who made the day happen successfully.

At…read morefirst, I was unsure if I would even need a wedding coordinator - I felt like I had a pretty good handle on planning, and I tend to be very organized and detail-oriented. However, having Patty step in for the last 6 weeks before the wedding was a lifesaver. My fiance and I got married at an old estate house, which meant we brought in all the vendors ourselves. It was a lot to coordinate, and Patty did an excellent job communicating with all our vendors and with our wedding venue in order to make sure that everything was all set for our wedding day. As the wedding got closer, Patty was in frequent contact about all the last-minute details that would have never crossed my mind. She ran a great rehearsal the night before the wedding, and day-of she was in complete command (from helping set out all decorations, to putting the covering on our chuppah, to her husband/assistant wiping down all our chairs since they'd been covered with rain that morning). Patty was extremely easy to work with - she always responded promptly to any questions or concerns I had, and she really seemed to take into account what my fiance and I wanted (and not just what would be easiest for her). Even if you think you can do it all yourself, it really makes the day so much more enjoyable when you know that someone else has things under control. I highly recommend booking Patty!

We booked…read moretheir "day of coordination" package, but Carolyn and Mary Kate's support went far beyond "day of." I was in touch with them regularly beginning about 5 months before the wedding. We wanted a very intimate and simple wedding, but Mary Kate and Carolyn were on top of the little details that we didn't even consider. Without us even asking, they initiated coordinating all of our wedding signage with a local calligrapher. This was a small detail that we never would have thought of, but it was the perfect touch that our wedding needed. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, Carolyn and I were emailing and texting daily. Before the wedding day even arrived, I already felt like I didn't know what I would do without them. On the actual day of they exceeded our expectations in every way possible. They coordinated every detail with each of our vendors every step of the way. My parents kept raving about their level of professionalism. They even tracked down each of my male family members scattered throughout the hotel to personally pin boutonnieres to each of their jackets! They stayed until the very end of the wedding so we didn't have to think about a thing at the end of the night. But the real icing on the cake is that they personally dropped all the gifts off to our apartment (I gave them a spare key and they quietly snuck in while our pet sitter was sleeping!) Seriously, saying they went above and beyond doesn't even begin to describe these ladies. We had a very specific vision for our wedding and Mary Kate and Carolyn ensured that it was executed beautifully. For anyone who is on the fence about hiring a day-of coordinator- do yourself a favor and hire these two! It's an easy decision.

Allison and Sarah could not have been more comforting and proactive. Over email, phone, and video call, they put my mind at ease and I felt so prepared the day of my wedding, no matter what restrictions were in place. Allison could not have done a better job the day of. She built a great rapport with my family, bridal party, and the venue's event manager to ensure the day ran smoothly. She knew the schedule and set up like the back of her hand. When the timing of certain day-of activities changed last minute, she made sure to let me know of the changes and the night went on without issue. If it were not for COVID and my anxieties around how it would affect our wedding I likely would not have looked for an outside coordinator- our venue did provide one that began to work closely with us (and Allison) in the month or so before the wedding and I truly believe she would have done a comparable job in the day-of execution. But it's the long term commitment to the planning process that makes Without a Hitch special. And while our venue did not host many weddings during COVID, Without a Hitch planned so many, and had the experience and suggestions that made the wedding feel as normal as it possibly could. For any of my friends planning weddings at a less conventional venue or just want more support, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Without a Hitch, and more specifically Allison!

Emily is insanely talented, amazingly organized, wonderfully resourceful, and above all else, a truly kind person. She started helping my husband and I plan our wedding about 2 years before our wedding day - and without a doubt planning a wedding from across the country would not have been possible without her. We realized again and again in the months leading up to our wedding we would not have been able to plan anything near what we had envisioned without her. Emily is wonderfully creative and paid such attention to every detail. She got to know us and made sure that the wedding was a reflection of "us" as a couple. One of our favorite moments from our wedding weekend was when Emily brought us into the reception space to see it fully transformed - we just couldn't believe how incredible everything was! I can't tell you how many people commented that it was one of the most beautiful and fun weddings - and also how "us" it was- all due to Emily's design and planning. Her creativity and tireless effort to make our day perfect left me in awe. She was attentive, available, and such a wonderful resource. She is calm, a great listener, and became a valuable friend through the wedding planning process. It was an amazingly beautiful day and we have her to thank for it - on the wedding day we were both able to fully relax and enjoy ourselves knowing that Emily and her team had everything under control. She took the vision we had of our wedding and elevated it beyond any of our dreams. I wish we could do it all over again and again and again. I most highly and absolutely recommend Emily to plan and create any and every event that you have.

Emily at mStarr has excellent creative capabilities and ideas. However it was my experience that…read moreshe is very difficult to work with. I have had a hard time deciding whether I wanted to make a negative review at all because my wedding was so positive, but I feel it is important for other brides to be made aware of this problem. I won't go into many details (although I did write notes in moments of frustration) but in summary she is very un-prompt in her responses (which towards the end not only is stressful but made things more expensive, like dropping the ball on candles and lanterns that should have been ordered a long time ago; I think I literally signed a contract with the person doing my lights for my tent two weeks before the wedding. It wasn't just me and my mom who were wondering what was going on, but my other vendors who were worried too). Everything that she was suppose to have control over was done last minute. The last month or so of my wedding planning was a lot more stressful then it needed to be because there were still questions unanswered. This was a time that I should have had everything completely ready to go, and everything was, except for items that she was "designing". She was cold and rude, when I was trying to be friendly and fun! All of my other vendors were super enthusiastic, friendly, accommodating and helpful throughout this process and I by no means was a difficult bride. Most of my tight knit group of vendors would respond to me within the hour, or definitely the day. I often didn't hear from her for days. On multiple occasions she referred to my "lower investment" which is why she couldn't do something. Not only is that entirely inappropriate, but in my eyes (and many of my vendors eyes as well) I was paying way too much for what I got (I paid $4600) And what I got was pretty much inspiration, some sourcing, and a little help the day of (which my day of coordinator could have done completely..emily was not there by the way, it was her assistant--courtney who was very nice!). I don't know if it was because of my "lower investment" that she didn't put as much time into my wedding, but her timeline was very off. In order to be successful in this business, you not only need to have the creative touch and ideas (which she definitely has), but you really need to be good with people, happy, organized, enthusiastic and eager to help. Also, she did not care about our budget. In the end my wedding was beautiful! Maybe it had a little to do with her, but I am pretty sure that without her it would have been beautiful too. And most definitely, much less stressful. It was my vision after all and my other vendors executed it flawlessly.
