Throughout my stay, there were multiple bugs in the room, including insects crawling on the walls and small flying bugs (gnats? I'm not sure). The overall condition of the room made it difficult to relax or sleep comfortably. There was even a bug crawling above my bed at one point. The hotel itself is VERY dated and in need of maintenance. The air conditioner was very loud and struggled to keep the room cool. They also don't do daily housekeeping, which isn't a MAJOR thing but when your hotel looks like it came out of a scary movie -- it might be helpful. Did not get much sleep during my stay. Most disappointing was the response from the front desk when I checked out early. I explained that I was leaving because of the bug issues and asked whether a refund for the unused final night would be possible. I knew this was a long shot, but was at least expecting a friendly interaction. I was told that I should have reported the issue earlier so they could have moved me to another room (which objectively is very fair). I was then handed a manager's business card (also very fair) but then dismissed. Tone of the interaction was not friendly at all. There was little empathy and no apparent interest in understanding my concerns. I felt like a commoner being dismissed by a noble or something. Once again, did not expect to be fully or even partially refunded for my room, but also did not expect this dismissiveness and frankly defensiveness. I understand that problems can happen at any hotel, BUT matters is how those problems are handled. Between the room condition, the bugs, the poor sleep, and the unfriendly response when I raised my concerns, I cannot recommend this property. Stay away!!

I had planned almost every detail of the wedding and knew exactly how I envisioned my big day but the problem was I could not oversee the coordination of all the vendors/individuals in the execution of my plans. However, Wendy seemed to take over flawlessly and made sure everything happened EXACTLY as I had hoped. My fiance and I were beyond thankful for her because she really enabled us to enjoy every moment of our big day!! When tiny things went wrong (and of course something will go wrong!) - Wendy always had a creative solution and did her absolute best to take care of it as quickly and quietly as possible. I was especially thankful for Wendy because I my niece (the flowergirl) had an issue come up and was unable to make it to the wedding ceremony with her dad so we were unable to get a complete family photo right after the ceremony. Very near the end of the reception, my niece and her dad finally came and Wendy orchestrated getting EVERYONE together for several complete family photos! We were SOOOOOooo thankful!! Literally the best combination you can ask for in an event coordinator. Last month I was at a Thanksgiving Dinner done by Wendy (and her assistants) that was phenomenal. The "flow" of the dinner and throughout the entire evening was exceptional. And, it was incredibly MEMORABLE! If you don't have time or energy for all the work that goes into an event, hire a true professional. I have made the mistake in the past of not working with a pro. "It's Your Day" is perfectly named. When you hire Wendy, you expect the best and she outperforms. Get her while her prices are still reasonable!
