It was built during the Roaring Twenties and its magnificence sure reminded me of the mansions I've seen in Newport, RI. There is a grand foyer at the main entrance where you'll see a gorgeous chandelier hanging from the ceiling. There is Italian marble flooring, oak and mahogany wood trim everywhere, artwork on the walls and on the furniture, a music room with a piano, and six bedrooms, There are gardens, a reflecting pool, even a gazebo, so the photo opportunities are endless. We started with a cocktail hour under a tent and enjoyed fruit and crudities and then passed hors d'oeuvres, such as Caprese skewers, goat cheese and honey filled strawberries, shrimp and more. The cocktail hour continued as we moved inside and even more hors d'oeuvres came parading out of the kitchen. Dinner was served in the Fountain View Room - its big enough to hold 275 guests in a sit-down dinner and their dance floor is 750 square feet big! The food was excellent, and so was the ice cream bar that offered every known accompaniment under the sun. The Harding Allen Estate is a great venue with a great staff, great food, and great everything.

On our wedding day they really tended to our every need. This venue really goes above and beyond. They offer so much more than other venues. When booking your wedding you also have the option to rent out rooms at the estate. The estate also has a bridal party hair and makeup house (called the rose cottage). At the estate it is set up with a grooms man wing and a bridal wing with the Spanish room meeting at the center. So you and your bridesmaids get ready at the rose cottage and then head over to the garden room in the bridal wing. This room has glass windows that can overlook when your guests arrive for your ceremony. I love it! Jasmine allowed us an early checking for hair and makeup at the rose cottage and from the second we arrived she was on it! Bringing up fruit plates and wine/champagne (which you order in advance but it is reasonable). This alone was so nice. No need to get ready at a hotel and shuttle the wedding party over. I brought quite a bit of decorations and the Harding Allen Estate team did a fantastic job at setting this all up, this included my own plates and cups which they washed and repackage. I was shocked to find all my decorations were wrapped the exact way I brought them. There was so much attention to detail. We also had a few food allergies and they were able to accommodate for both the wedding and the rehearsal dinner, and it was delicious! We used the in house catering because we had a smaller wedding. This is truly a family run establishment, some of the people on staff who weren't related to Jasmine and Suzy were also related. It truly felt like a family, the staff was so kind and respectful. For the wedding we used DJ fusion who has done many weddings at the Estate and he did a great job. For photographer we used Amanda Adams Photography (the pictures attached to this review are screen shots from our wedding video, just a family member with a camera. Amanda shot one of them which is pretty easy to tell which one). Jasmine does a fantastic job and two weeks before your wedding you're really a priority for her and she does respond pretty quickly but if its prior to 2 weeks before your wedding you may have to wait for a response. Honestly getting married at the Harding Allen Estate was the best decision we made. It was such a dream. I think this is going to be one of the top wedding venues in New England, especially with all the extras you get (bridal hair and makeup area, after party for you and the guests staying at the venue, vintage car, beautiful separate cocktail, ceremony and reception areas, the gardens, the breakfast the next morning). One of the many wonderful things about Harrington Farm is no matter what time of year it is, it's a gorgeous venue inside and out. The Harrington Farm staff gave us the wedding of our dreams. From day one, Lauryn Mattson was by our side and guiding us through the entire wedding planning process. Every question, concern or request was handled with care and consideration. It was unbelievably easy to work with the Harrington team! We truly felt prepared for our big day; we met with Lauryn at least 4 times before the wedding which really put my anxieties at ease. We knew our options, we knew how the ceremony was going to go, and we knew we could rely on Lauryn and the Harrington staff. The food was delicious and fresh. I've received so many compliments about how amazing the food was! Our package included a wide selection of station boards, appetizers, dinner options, and even desserts! My guest raved about the coffee bar and how friendly the wait staff was. I personally feel that the packages are extremely generous given the price of it all. After speaking with some recently married friends, we learned that we got more for a fraction of the price they were paying. We picked one, which turned out to be Easter day (we could make it but Kal couldn't: totally understandable) but we kept going back and forth saying "that Sunday won't work for me" or "I can't do that Sunday", etc... Fine. I get it. People can be busy and we have a lot of time to plan this thing out: no hurry, no worries. Then one day I get an e-mail from Kal: "Unfortunately I am not available any of the dates that you have listed. we have reached our quota of rentals for this year, so rentals are closed for 2017. As a result I am not scheduling special appointments to show the lodge. I know you are looking for next year. We will not be reserving any dates or booking events for next year until January of 2018." Now, I don't know about you guys, but to me, that means "screw you, we already have made enough money with booking so we're not going to put in the effort to even show you the place." My fiance and I just wanted to see the place: that's all. Not have any booking or anything, just SEE IT. I sent an e-mail back (on April 11th) explaining that to Kal, but now it's May 6th and still no reply from Kal. As far as I know, this place just wants your money and that's it. My advise to anyone thinking about going to this place is... just don't bother. It was a waste of my time and it might be a waste of yours. Each attendee has a canvas on a wooden stretcher, brushes, and acrylic paints on a paper plate palette. Irina provides the smocks. So easy to plan and execute a wonderful, memorable evening.
