Venue location is beautiful. The food was disappointing. Chicken tenders were overcooked and dry. None of the 7 grandchildren ate them. There was a long delay between courses. Getting married at Grand View was a dream come true. The grounds are just as glorious as they appear online and the staff is accommodating and flexible. We married under the chapel which matched my vision exactly of white lawn chairs & space for a beautiful flower arbor. Our guests could not stop saying how beautiful the venue was and how much they loved it all. The icing on the cake was the food!! It was delicious from the salad to the entree and the chef even made a specific Dominican & Haitian delicacy as a surprise to our guests. We even held our Hora Loca right before the reception ended which engulfed our guests in a celebration to remember. If you are even considering the Grandview as a venue I could HIGHLY suggest it. They are absolutely amazing and beyond professional and organized. They helped create an absolutely perfect day for us from top to bottom. Kelly Sullivan is absolutely amazing, she is extremely responsive and helpful. She answered any and all questions we had and truly was a built in coordinator. As for the day of staff she was there along with so many amazing others that truly catered to us every second of the day. Meredith was our bridal attendant who couldn't have been more amazing. At every turn she was fluffing my dress skirt, bringing us drinks and hor devours, helped bustle my dress, and even had a damp towel to get some makeup from me off my husbands tux. They are the highest quality venue and I can't recommend them enough. The food was amazing, ambiance and setting is top notch. Absolutely outstanding. read more

I'm very disappointed in the customer service I received. I got engaged a couple months ago and wanted to immediately look at venues. I emailed the places I wanted to view the first week of my engagement, since I know how fast venues book up. I emailed The imperial ballroom, and I got no response. So I thought maybe they're busy, so I'll call. I called them, the lady I spoke to was nice, but I told her I wanted to view the venue as soon as possible and she said no problem, a wedding specialist would call me right back. Well it's been over a month and I never received any call or email back. When you're business is relying on customers who are going to be paying THOUSANDS to have their wedding or event at your venue, you need to satisfy & follow up. As a hairdresser, I've told all my clients about this situation as a warning that they might not want to deal with this business. read more

Beautiful venue, however my experience was not a good one. Unfortunately, I had to cancel my booked event and these folks made more money on my misfortune, than if they had actually provided the service(s). Very disappointed. Thanks for responding Ashley. "Tremendous financial loss", hard to imagine since you made 33% of the contracted amount for doing nothing. By the way, I cancelled with a six months notice after booking the venue just six months prior to that. I offer these comments so others don't do the same thing I did, blindly accept their cancellation terms, thinking it would never happen to us. Laura was the event coordinator for our wedding located at the Grand View in Mendon, MA and she was more than amazing and beyond accommodating. My husband and I had a hiccup in our wedding plans - long story short, Hurricane Irma destroyed our U.S.V.I wedding venue 6 weeks before our wedding, leaving us little time to re-plan. Finding Laura and booking the Grand View on such short notice was truly a blessing. Laura's professional, punctual, organized, easy to work with and as mentioned above, extremely accommodating, she understood our vision and worked her a** off to make it happen - she even coordinated so we could keep our original menu from our U.S.V.I wedding. And the venue speaks for itself, the lake makes for a perfect backdrop, especially with the fall foliage and interior of the Grand View makes for incredible pictures; make sure you check out the Bridal Suite and Women's restroom (yes, the restrooms are picturesque as well). The overall size of the venue was perfect, it allowed our guest to spread out and enjoy the evening, the food was mouthwatering - people are still talking about the beef tenderloin, and the staff were great to our wedding guest. Kevin and I got married at Grand View on September 10, 2016. The day was nothing short of amazing! We cannot say enough good things about Sharon- the main wedding coordinator. She was so on top of her game and made the day run so smoothly. Besides our normal nervous jitters, she made us feel at ease and kept the night running without a hitch! The grounds at Grand View are impeccable. We would stop by every once in a while to see how the renovations were coming along. They did a beautiful job updating everything. We received numerous compliments from our guests saying that this was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. Thank you to Grand View, Sharon, her wonderful staff and the owner for allowing us to host our wedding at your beautiful venue. Easter Brunch very disappointed @43.00 a person, This was the worst brunch our family has ever had. The food was terrible, really terrible. The plates were at the first table that consisted of pasta salad, green bean and potatoes, next table turkey and lamb carving. Last table!! breakfast muffins, crossants, some fruit cold quiche, bacon, sausage and some kind of French toast that was terrible, the coffee, juice and dessert 2 kind of cookies , 2 cakes and dessert pops located in the lobby very inconvenient!!! There was no interaction from any staff members not one person asked how the food was or offered any assistance.The easter bunny sat there, no interaction with the kids, we thought he was fake. We cant imagine anyone in that room for the price that we paid would ever go back, we could have had a better breakfast at Mcdonald's. For the reputation of this venue to put on such a poor brunch was so disappointing. We all felt like we got robbed. read more

It's a beautiful venue both inside and out, and the setting on Nipmuc Lake will make the wedding photos very special. We worked with Ashley, who was not only very responsive in the planning process, but handled any of our concerns extremely well and professionally.
