We all laughed so, so much. The bride said it was the highlight of her weekend! Nobody really knew what to expect - most of us can't draw at all - but it was all relaxed and lighthearted and proved to be a great way to gently bring some quieter girls out of their shells. Several girls even came away thinking they might start life drawing classes! If you're trying to come up with a good bachelorette activity, I'd urge you to consider this.

She was upbeat, informative, respectful to both the sketchers (us) and the models. Made sure there were no photography during class unless it's through them to make the models comfortable. (takes guts to be nude in front of a bunch of people drinking and looking at you!) She brought out the artistic sides of everyone in the room, guided us through different sketching exercises (1-3-5 minute sketch sessions) so we're busy drawing instead of JUDGING what we were drawing. such helpful tips! I think we were all VERY impressed with our own artworks! I really thought I'd be drawing a little more than stick figures before coming here. Edwards House is a great atmosphere for an event or meeting that needs to be professional but not…read morestuffy. The wood-paneled setting of the main room seems to encourage our event attendees (mostly workshops) to feel comfortable speaking or brainstorming. One of the reasons that our organization uses Edwards House whenever possible is because we do not have to use outside caterers, and the dinners we've had at Edwards House have easily stayed within budget and been much more satisfying and appreciated (by our attendees) than catered meals. The staff has been very easy to work with, and set-up and clean-up are always taken care of with no hassle.

We were fortunate enough to have the whole house to ourselves. We were able to use all the little rooms for small group discussions and the bigger room for group events. The sleeping arrangements were comfortable and clean. The only thing we had a problem with was we had way to many women who wanted to come and therefore had to have some stay off site. Not the end of the world, but did break up the flow and connectivity, but wouldn't keep us from going back.
