I also worked at the front desk of a hotel for two years while I attended Wellesley College and after that I worked as a paralegal at prominent firms in Boston before starting my business. I *deeply* understand customer service, professionalism, and the weight of negative Yelp reviews which is why I have quite literally never written one. I originally wrote a negative review (and it was the first negative review I have ever written on Yelp) because I had a negative experience with one of the front desk agents at first. But one of the things I also understand working in customer service is that if you give a business the feedback they need to make changes and to "make things right" and they are receptive to that feedback, a business should not be judged because of a one off experience. I was able to communicate my issues and I am updating my review to reflect that the hotel handled my feedback professionally and for that I am very grateful.

We played two rounds of 9 hole mini golf on the Ember & Emerald courses. The concept is cool but for the amount it adds to a normal mini golf game, it kinda takes away, too. The technology only allows one person in your party to complete the hole at a time. I love the taking turns aspect of the regular game so that was a bummer. Also, there's something about the colored balls with regular mini golf that I love. The ones here are all white. Some holes felt too easy - everything we did was under 4. I did like parts of the scoring system.

I love all the different courses and the ways to play, however our ball kept having issues and in search of everyone else's, so they have to keep coming over and fixing it.And it got really, really crowded upstairs. From the ease of the booking process to the day-of execution, the entire process was 10 stars. Hannah and her team went above and beyond (which I now understand is their standard MO.) They effortlessly managed all of our decor, seemlessly and joyfully wrangled 12+ children (and twice as many extremely excited adults.) The experience was educational and extremely interactive (We decorated mini horses! We held/pet so many incredible animals! The kids rode unicorns!) Even the coloring pages had our daughter's name printed on them. There was not one aspect of the day that felt like an after thought. The attention to detail and the care they show is so amazing. I really can't thank Hannah and her crew enough for hosting (far and away) the best birthday party my daughter has ever had. Core memories were made by all of us.

We especially loved the model Christmas villages room and the room of unique Christmas trees. The mini Christmas villages were so intricate and detailed and it was a massive collection. The artistic Christmas trees were creative and unique - I especially loved the national parks Christmas tree! Next to the last activity which is the Christmas trees collection, there is a fire pit in which you are given sticks and a s'mores kit. A perfect way to end the day! Highly recommend coming here for the Christmas event and will be sure to come back and see the gardens when it's back in season (no snow). My only critique is that for the last day it closed at 4pm which didn't give us time to see the lights at night decorations.

There are also two lovely rooms downstairs which we used for cocktails for the grown ups and dinner for the the kids later on. The people who run the Community Center were wonderful to work with. This place is perfect for just about any event!!! In fact, we are returning there for my daughter's Bat Mitzvah in October 2012.
