I was promised the…read morework would be done before winter 2021 as I feared that our deck wouldn't make it through the winter. He assured me it would be well done before then. At this point in time he's taken thousands from my family and he's done no work. The promises to start the work started in May 2021. I would constantly reach out as I was wondering where he was and looking for updates. He did respond most of the time but not always timely. However, there was always a different reason he couldn't start or a false promise that he was starting soon. Some of the excuses he gave were due to delays from covid, a hurt worker, lack of staff, issues with his truck, needing to see a dentist, etc. The list goes on. He knew all of these were obstacles before he signed a contract with me and even after. I just wish I knew because I wouldn't have signed a contract with him considering my situation. I'm shocked he continued getting others to sign new contracts with him without disclosing any of this or simply being up front that it would take months and months before he could do the work. At this point in time he won't refund my money as he said he'd already put all the money into the supplies he bought. However, similar to others he can't provide proof of all the supplies he bought. I feel as if I was taken advantage of. I pray he does the right thing and pays me back as well as others in the same situation as me.

Ian, my salesman arrived on time and inspected my roof and gave me an estimate right on the spot. I agreed and we were able to complete the paperwork right then and there. All the workers were pleasant and my project progressed smoothly from beginning to end. I highly recommend this company.

Whenever deciding on a contractor, you also want fair prices, and no surprises, and A2Z did well on that too. We did have a hiccup however, the team made everything right in the end. We have 2 tips that we think can take the business to the next level. There must be a clear understanding between both parties when doing the estimate. This will reduce the need for scope creep in the project. For projects that require cleaning up, you need to make sure there is a plan to remove the trash. You take it with you, or it needs to be bagged in contractor bags to be put out periodically with the trash. I wish your business the best. I have no doubt that they will take these tips into consideration going forward. We will be in touch for the upcoming project.

Company was hired to mitigate a leak in basement by washing and applying epoxy to a portion of…read morebasement wall. Contractor sub-contracted the work (without informing me know) and the sub-contractor damaged the walls by using incorrect pressure washer jet nozzle, ruining the foundation of house (knocked out mortar from foundation blocks). Brought this to their attention and they agreed this wasn't part of the original invoice, nor was it the intention. They told me to fix their mistake they must charge me an additional $900 on top of previously agreed upon price. This company does not do they work, they sub-contract it out. Your results will depend on who is available at the time to do the work. There are good reviews from people who have had good sub-contractors come in. There are also bad reviews from people who had bad sub-contractors come in. If a bad sub-contractor damages your property, it will become your financial responsibility to have it fixed.

He replaced my gutters, soffits, false chimney and fixed a leak where the roof connected to a wall. His price was very competitive. I talked to his insurance agent to check that he was insured (he was) and also talked to the three references I asked for and they were very pleased with this work. The workers were also very courteous and cleaned up after themselves.

Having to replace a roof on a home that's 13 years old is generally not an enjoyable thing, but our…read moreexperience with 5 Star Roofing and Siding was as good as it could have been! We heard about 5 Star from some of our neighbors, who had the same issues with crappy roofing. After getting some estimates from other companies, Craig Hanes, the owner, came to our house with an estimate and even took pictures of our roof to show us what type of damage we were looking at (including the spectacularly bad front porch awning the previous owners had installed themselves and majorly botched). The pricing was incredibly reasonable and included a warranty for the future. We signed the contract but unfortunately Craig told us that it would likely be about a month before he could fit us in, which made us a little nervous because of the unpredictability of WNY weather. Well, imagine our surprise when we got a call 4 days later from Craig telling us that the weather was going to be favorable for the next 2 days and he'd like to start work on our roof the next day! Fabulous! A large crew worked from sun up to sun down over the course of 2 days and we now have a beautiful roof, and more importantly, it will no longer rain in our bedroom during vicious thunderstorms. Craig was so nice to deal with, and I would not hesitate to recommend 5 Star Roofing to anyone!

The crew was professional, prompt and it appeared they did a good job. Then the rains came. Our brand new roof was leaking in a completely different spot - three spots actually. Texts and calls to iBuild resulted in a run around. "We'll swing by a soon as possible." "We'll come by tomorrow." No shows every time. When a young man finally did show up to look at the roof, he said the foreman would return later in the evening because he knows what is wrong. The foreman did not show up. Now, downpours are forecast again. I am on the roof trying my best to figure it out. A final text has gone unanswered. I wish I could leave a better review. It would take a whole lot of service to change my mind.

After walking around on the roof, he came down and did nothing but insult me over and over again! He was relentless to say the least. To top it off, I was still going to have him at least tarp my roof in order to stop my roof from leaking into my house, so I set it up with him to come out that weekend to do it, and he stiffed me, which allowed a great deal of water to leak in while it poured out all week. Very poor business, or at the very least, the sales manager! He should get fired on the spot! Although the company itself looks extremely professional, and is no doubt very good at their job, and extremely knowledgeable, it is because of this guy that I will never recommend them to anyone if this guy is involved in any way!
