Afterwards, I contacted Hot Tint in May 2022. They responded to me that day and told me to stop by the shop. I made an appointment for later that week. When I arrived, I asked them to install the unit and a backup camera. I can't recall how much time it took but it was done in a reasonable amount of time and I'm happy with their service. I called a few other shops around this time. A couple had other projects and couldn't get to me for a few months. A couple of others didn't want to touch the van because of its age, manufactured in 1989. Hot Tint was straight-forward. They said let them see what I have and they'll let me know if they could use what I had or needed something else. I appreciate that approach. I did have a couple of problems but they were responsive. While driving home, my radio rebooted twice. The cable came loose so they told me to return to the shop so that they could fix it. The second is my clock resets to 12:00 every time the vehicle is restarted. They told me to bring it by so that they can fix it but I haven't. I'm rarely on the screen to see the time and just had other priorities. I mention these items to show that they were responsive and willing to troubleshoot the problem. I rate them high also because there are many mechanics and technicians who can work on a classic vehicle but refuse to do so. There are a handful like Hot Tint that jumps right in and do the job. I'm finally ready to add an amp and subwoofer so I will be contacting them again soon.

A few things I'd have done differently a year later... they recommended doing a finish on my side steps that's similar to bedliner spray for durability, but it faded and is now gray instead of black. Also I'd have had them completely replace the door handles instead of wrap them. The wrap on door handles tends to degrade over time. They're fine now but I'm seeing the signs of wear and expect I'll have to replace the handles at some point. Kunza was probably the best priced compared to competitors and he did a really great job with my truck. The tint was amazing, and all of the paint details transformed my truck into what I always wanted.

Our 3…read morelevel house has a lot of windows and the top level is sooo much hotter than the lower levels in part due to so much heat coming in from all those windows. I picked one of the darker films because we prefer to filter all that sun light and also want a break from the heat. Chris was able to answer all my questions and didn't try to sell me on anything, he just explained what they do and let me decide on my own. Next we went around measuring all those windows. Price was a concern as we have just purchased this house and don't have alot of surplus money laying around so I eventually settled on just starting with the upper level to try and equalize the heat situation. Chris called the office and scheduled our install for the upcoming Monday. The order sheet is easy to read and understand, no hidden fees! The prices are also very reasonable for the product. Before install I was a bit worried, but it's worth every penny! On Monday the two man crew showed up right on time, were quick, friendly and professional. They took extra time to clean all the windows and were careful with all the beds/desk they had to move to access them. Once finished I was just amazed! The glare is gone, the windows look perfect, both inside and out. It is a bit darker, but that was the effect we were going for when we picked the darker film. And the temperature difference in the house is so much better. It's no longer a 20 degrees difference from the bottom to the top level! Now we haven't had a really hot day since the install but I feel very confident this was a great investment and can't wait to get the mid level done to reduce glare on our TV.

Good morning, I am…read morewriting to report a serious safety concern that occurred this morning involving one of Atlantic Sun Control's company vehicles. The vehicle was turning left from Polk Drive onto Old Centreville Road while traffic was stopped and there was not enough room for the vehicle to safely complete the turn. As a result, the driver proceeded into the intersection and blocked the intersection of Old Centreville Road and Polk Drive/Maplewood Drive. At the time, a school bus traveling on Old Centreville Road was carrying students. She had to brake abruptly to avoid a collision with the vehicle and then wait for traffic to clear before she could safely proceed. Having a vehicle turn directly in front of a school bus under these circumstances created a dangerous situation for both the students on board and the driver and other cars behind her. I understand that traffic situations can be challenging, but this appeared to be an avoidable decision. I am especially concerned because the vehicle was clearly marked as a company vehicle, and I would expect professional and responsible driving from anyone operating a vehicle on behalf of a company. I am bringing this to your attention because I believe the incident warrants review and, hopefully, a reminder to your drivers about exercising appropriate caution around school buses and when entering intersections where there is insufficient room to safely proceed. This in NO WAY reflects on the companies success and business practices as a whole, their work ethic precedes them and is a testament to their overall customer satisfaction, but the behavior of one irresponsible employee does not help this.
