Dr. Heck told me I just needed old fillings replaced, and the treatment plan will cost me under $2k. I encourage anyone to a) get a second opinion always and b) see Dr. Heck! She is honest, and caring and kind and personable. I look forward to have my treatment plan done by her and I despise the dentist! Also, the office is comfortable and quiet which is the complete opposite of the other office I visited which was loud and chaotic.

The new plan was a healthier more cautious route as well as more cost effective. They have a "calming menu" where you can request a blanket, headphones, warm neck pillow, etc. for more comfort and dental anxiety which I think we all can agree that we all get! Every treatment room has a TV on the ceiling (because seriously... why do dentists put them on the wall where you can't even see them while laying back?). And yes, they give you the remote. Full control. As they should. They also give you these cool heart-eye sunglasses while they work on you, which is such a small but fun touch that makes everything feel less clinical and more comfortable. Beyond the aesthetics though, the environment felt inclusive and diverse. I felt safe in more ways than one, and that matters. I learned so much about myself and they were so thorough. Dr. Ip, Shae, and Grace were all such a pleasure. On this visit, I learned that I have a deviated septum and also a tight oral frenulum. These might be why I have breathing problems at night. The team was never pushy with trying to sell me on services or products which I really appreciated. They have such cool technology that really gives me an in depth overview of my oral health. The only thing I would recommend is if they played music in the lobby or something. It echoes and is awkwardly quiet in the lobby. I would absolutely recommend the dental office and will be back for my next check up/cleaning!

She is so kind and communicative, but you can tell she is an absolute fighter for solutions for you. She runs the financial role of the business and I could not be more impressed with her professionalism and experience with navigating insurance companies, Care credit, and a patient's priorities. I'm a hairdresser and deal with a wonderful and very affluent clientele. I felt like I looked cheap with messed up teeth. The consultation was incredible. Dr. Christy Tu is a perfectionist. It was such an educational and solution driven experience, that I followed all of her advice. I later found out she went to the USC school of dentistry. When I went in the last time, they insisted that I have x-rays and that if I didn't, they were not "running the business as they were taught ".
