John responded immediately, told me he could send someone out the same day, and even gave me a one-hour arrival window. Based on the information I provided, he was able to give me a quote before anyone even came out, which I really appreciated. As promised, Jonathan arrived right on time. He was incredibly friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. He located the leak surprisingly quickly, and I was shocked at how deep the pipe was buried. At one point, Jonathan was upside down in the hole working to access it! Throughout the process, he clearly explained what needed to be done. He let me know he was going to the store to get a part and would be right back--and he was. He returned quickly and got right back to work. Once the repair was completed, he showed me the damaged section of pipe and explained the fix before covering everything back up. I was especially impressed with the care he took when refilling the hole. He carefully put the soil back in place, and by the end of the job, he was covered from head to toe in mud. It was obvious he worked incredibly hard to get the repair done right. It's been a few days since the repair, and so far everything is working perfectly. We recently purchased a new washer and our water lines needed to be replaced. I couldn't do the work myself because I don't have the proper tools and everything was rusted over. I called Brandon of Pro Island Drain Cleaning and services by referral from John of Good Guy Plumbing that I got from Next Door. Brandon wasn't able to come out day of being that it was about 6pm but he did tell me to call first thing in the morning so they could get us in on the schedule. I called the next morning and he told me to send him the address and he'll have someone to come by. He had someone come by around noon to see what needed to be done and he left to pick up the other parts needed. Our plumber, Kai was so easy to work with especially since we previously bought some of the other needed parts to begin with the day before. It was less than an hour of work that would have taken me much longer on my own. The price was much more fair than calling one of those bigger plumber companies that charge $100 to cut a pipe. My tenants who clocked the time said he was there for only two hours. Not only is their hourly rates prohibitively expensive, they charged me for extra time, charged an extra 3% for paying by credit card, and billed my credit card without sending me an invoice or notifying. I will never engage them again.
