He kept in touch with me regarding their arrival and a date to install, calling me a couple of times and fitting in with my schedule which I really appreciated. His customer service was excellent. We service high end kitchen appliances. Sub Zero, Wolf, Cove, Scottsman, U-line and manage, coordinate and participate in a wide range of activities related to the cooking and refrigeration industry. We perform complex troubleshooting, problem solving and demonstrate the ability to improve productivity. Our establishment as high degree of trust and credibility ensures we meet aggressive projects schedules and exceed established goals.Flat-rate Pricing: Customers are conditioned to expect a given price for a given service. take the simple purchase of a hamburger for example. The fast-food restaurant has taken into account the cost of the ingredients, transportation, storage, preparations, packaging, labor advertising and margin to come up with a fixed price for the finished product. This eliminates any anxiety about what they will actually pay. How much time a technician spends on a job does not seem so important when customers know that the price is not going to change. As the fact, the more time spent on the job may the have more value for the service. Obvious advantages: The technician is not required to determine pricing and can concentrate their work rather the amount of time they are spending. The pricing structure can be changed before the job has begun.

I suspect he's not a bad guy - maybe it was a bad day.

Our Kitchen Aid appliances are going on 15 years right now. (PRO TIP: Kitchen Aid is the "Lexus"…read moreof appliances in terms of quality and build. They never gave us any problems until now.) Up until 2019 we paid for annual service agreements via Sears in case anything happened them. But, with Sears' rickety lifeline, we decided to forego them for 2020 as who knows if they'll even be in business! Service agreements aren't cheap either, costing about $500 a year to cover five appliances. I figured it'd also be wise to not put in extra money to aging machinery as well. Of course after said service agreement stopped, something goes wrong. In this case it was our Kitchen Aid side-by-side refrigerator/freezer - the ice maker to be exact. While it still produced ice, the water to refill the ice tray was shooting out too strong so we had icicles and mini frozen waterfalls on the ice maker and shelves. Enter Kelly's Appliance Repair. EXPERIENCE: I remember my parents used him in the past, so I got his info through them. Phoned and left a voicemail in which he called back soon after. Our schedules weren't jiving that week but once we connected, it was all downhill from there. He came by to look at the problem then called back a few days later to schedule the repair. Turns out the part (name forgotten) that controls the amount of water being disbursed into the ice tray was the cause. The opening got too large from age which resulted in our unwanted Antarctic landscape. The part was changed and he said to watch it because if the problem re-occurs, we'll need a new ice maker. He didn't even leave us a bill as he charges after the problem is resolved. Who does that nowadays? OVERALL: He's the real deal. Honest, affordable, friendly, professional, local-style service. Highly recommended.

Their suggested next step was to hire someone else to remove tile and look again. Over $1,000 for two visits that ended with no diagnosis, no fix, and a damaged ceiling is not reasonable value for the work performed. The technicians were polite, but the pricing for what was essentially "we couldn't find it" twice in a row is hard to justify. If you're getting a quote from this company, ask exactly what you get for the diagnostic fee and what happens if they don't find the cause -- in our case, the answer was pay again.
