Camilo is our first point of contact with anything solar so when we found a huge bulge in our ceiling due to a leaking hot water solar pipe we knew who to call for help. Camilo kindly did a quick face to face video with hubby so he could help him turn off the water to stop the leak instantly, and then Camilo came a few days later to do the repair. As usual he worked professionally, quickly, and was thorough and we had our solar hot water running leak free within an hour or two. Laulima is also very competitively priced compared to other companies, and Camilo is always on time and friendly, and totally trustworthy. I'm not the only one who has Camilo as our solar contact, read his reviews here and see how many other satisfied customers use Laulima too. read more

Camilo is responsive, knowledgeable, professional, and kind. Thank you for your help!

We installed our "starter" PV system in 2008. We've dealt with Maui Solar Project and Rising Sun in the last few decades to install extra upgraded panels, battery EV charger. They all did very good installations so not one iota of dissatisfaction. Recently, needed a new roof so the existing panels had to come down and go back up. Laulima Solar worked in conjunction with the roofer to start reinstalling our PV while the roof was still being worked on! We also had them replace the failing solar hot water heater and panels at the same time. We named Laulima as the solar contractor in charge of our Enphase account at the beginning of this process and they reviewed our system and offered recommendations. We wanted some upgrades and Camilo made recommendations as to upgrade and "placement" of those panels. There was also after install review and a request for any changes we might want. We've had Solar Hot Water since we moved in 25 years ago. PV started in 2008. Except for Sunny Solutions hot water (retired-no longer in business), we've not had this level of service - even when requested. As wife and I get on in years, I don't want to have the "hands on" followup that I had to do in the past. We would have never stumbled on Laulima except for our roofer's recommendation and it's turned out to be a "best" recommendation. read more

When I first inquired about replacing my leaky solar/electric water heater Camilo responded within the hour and all my subsequent correspondence was similarly answered promptly. The quote arrived the day after he inspected the job and the work was completed on schedule within the following week. Camilo was pleasant to deal with and helpfully explained what he was doing and why. After flushing the system he cleaned up after himself and even swept the garage floor. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and highly recommend him. read more

While all of the other plumbing companies were playing games with their quotes, Camilo was responsive, honest and straight forward. I sent him pics of my existing water heater and regulator that needed to be replaced, and he replied with what he charges for replacement, pick up of new water heater and regulator and disposal of old unit. I purchased the unit directly from Lowe's and he picked it up for the job. Camilo was professional and efficient. His services were reasonably priced and Laulima did not price gouge. While we did have to wait a few days for the next available appointment, it was worth it. Mahalo for doing an excellent job and will reach out to you when we're ready for solar. read more

Camilo recently did the annual solar hot water system maintenance at our house in Makawao. We had let it go for a few years so it was beyond due. He flushed the system, checked if anode rod needed replacement, replaced insulation as needed as well as pressure valves and more. He did a great job and was always professional, personable, thorough and responsive to our communications - a true joy to interact with. We're really happy to have him now on our list for us to better take care of our system. Thank you Camilo! read more

Am not sure where all these positive reviews are coming from but I requested a quote for him to replace my LG batteries that are under warranty and they quoted me $3K for swapping out the batteries and that is on top of the $500 reimbursement per battery that LG will give them. I know Maui can be expensive but this is just going over board. read more

I have lived on Maui over 20 years and I have never had a business day they would be to my house in 20min. He showed in 20 min! I had had the solar company come twice they said they had to install a new system. They no longer repair my system. The others Solar company just gave a quote for a. We system. The young man who came to my home replaced two valves and it works great . I would not call another company this company is honest and prompt beyond words. read more

Incredible local company. We have had our system for a month now and it is working perfectly. We checked around for quotes from several companies and either they were gouging on pricing or would never call back even after leaving several messages and speaking with them. Camilo is the owner and understands the meaning of community and especially ohana, post lahaina fires, he refunded monies back to the families he recently put in systems for that lost their homes. That action alone should speak volumes as the type of person he is and the company he runs. Give him a call you won't regret it. read more

From the moment I requested a quote to install solar on our townhouse, Laulima has been PHENOMENAL to work with. I considered other "brand" name companies on Maui, but Laulima stands head and shoulders above everyone else. Their price was not the lowest, but it also was not the highest, and the personalized service we received from minute one was worth every extra penny...you definitely get what you pay for! Andres is so knowledgeable about the equipment and installation--no question was too hard for him (and I ask a lot of questions!). He was so patient and easy to work with. Other companies are notorious for dropping you after installation and referring you to the vendor (Tesla, etc.) for any issues after installation, but not Laulima. Andres called me a month after installation just to check to see how everything was going, took down questions I had to contact the vendor for me. No service provider has EVER called me to follow up after a job is done. If you want to be treated like a human being, have your home and solar investment respected, Laulima is the only call you need to make. read more

We contacted Camilo to replace an old solar water heater. He provided a competitive quote and replied to my emails. Due to a supplier issue, we had to reschedule. He arrived on the rescheduled date with all new parts. Our water heater is located downhill, but he transported the old and new water heaters without complaining. As we requested, he raised the water heater up on bricks since the old one was sitting too low on the ground. He installed the new water heater in working condition without issues. Camilo is friendly, efficient and does a good job. We are happy with our new hot water heater and glad we hired him. read more

Excellent & efficient service! Highly recommend My parents had a solar panel that shattered from a golf ball. Camilo responded quickly to my yelp message and the very next day, made a visit to assess the damage. Fast service. very knowledgeable, at reasonable price. Responded right away and explained everything in detail to where you can understand what's happening what could happen and what to do if something goes array. His work comes with a 1 year guarantee and he's willing to work out your options on payment. Definitely well worth it. Not like those big companies that really don't care if they've fused the problem or not. 5 stars for Laulima Solar. read more

Replaced old electric hot water heater for a new 50 gallon. Ever thing is working fine now. Thanks

I was bidding out a solar system and Camilo got back to me within 1 hour, after i sent the request at 10 PM on a Friday night. I agreed to meet with him the following morning. He arrived on time, with his proposals ready to go. Within only a few min of greeting and talking story he was able to narrow down what I was looking for and self pruned his presentation. He was able to clearly answer my questions and was able to show me where I was missing a key piece of information. We were able to go over the numbers, the outline, the timeline, the why this would work and why this would not work, all without it being a "let me sit at your kitchen table with a laptop presentation". We also did a rough outline of what it would take to get the job done, how the lines would need to get run and a few other technical outlines i was looking for. It was a pleasure talking to a technician that knew why 1+1=X rather than, "this is the way I was taught the presentation. read more

I was very impressed with Laulima Solar this week when one of our solar hot water roof panels started leaking. They were professional, timely, great at communicating the issues we were looking at and in discussing options and were very accommodating of our scheduling needs. Additionally, we were happy to see they were competitively priced after calling around and getting two other estimates, one of the other estimates was almost twice what Laulima provided. Both Camilo and Peter were pleasures to work with and they consulted with me before making any changes to the existing system. I highly recommend the team at Laulima Solar and will be calling them again when the other unit goes out and/or when we are ready to move forward with a solar/electrical system. We had an emergency with our rooftop water solar heater leaking like crazy. Laulima called us right back, set up the time to look at it, was right on time and gave us the estimates for various repair/replacement options. Once we selected our option we set the date and again, Laulima Solar was there on time and ready for the job. It was completed with a minimum of disruption to our water heater and it's working perfectly! Mahalo, Camilo Gomez for your hard work, we are very glad we found you! I needed repairs to be done to my water solar panels so I called Laulima solar and other solar companies. Camilo was quick to return my call versus the other solar companies. He returned my call within 20 minutes. The other solar companies didn't call back until 2-3 days later. He came on the same day to evaluate the types of repair that I would need and gave me recommendations on what he thought I should do. He went over and beyond to fix what he had to. He went into my attic to fix an electrical sensor wire that needed repair without charging me for it. The service that he gave us was exceptional. He was fast and efficient and I wouldn't go to any other place. I highly recommend Laulima solar for any solar needs that you have. read more

The price was totally reasonable, and we are grateful for attentive and prompt service. I recommend Laulima Solar LLC without hesitation. Mahalo. read more
