A thousand times yes would recommend!! Taylor was AMAZING - in and out in under an hour, sold me parts based on quality not cost. Kind, knowledgeable, & efficient. Local and reliable - and another VERY satisfied customer! read more

I was referred to Welch's Appliances by a reputable repairman when the cost of repairing or replacing was simply too much for me. The owner showed me some good-quality, lightly used ranges in great condition. They delivered for free (Labor Day special I believe) and even walked my niece, who was helping me out, through hooking up the gas line. They went above and beyond. Both interactions were easy, pleasant, and helpful. Plus, I love the fact that it is family-owned and operated for many generations. If you are ever in need, you should definitely check out Welch's Appliances in Olympia! read more

Welche's Appliance was recommended to me by my long time handy person and what a great tip! I have an older GE dryer that I love and wanted to keep it going. Taylor came out for a very reasonable price to diagonose the problem for me and helped me order a replacement part. He also inspected and cleaned the dryer while he was in there and said the heating element didn't need replaced, as I had asked him to go ahead and do it as well if warranted. When the part arrived he came out again at no extra charge to install the part. Taylor and his scheduling staff at Welches really go above and beyond to help you keep your appliances running and should the day arrive when you do need a replacement they have both new and refurbished ones for sale. They will be getting all of my business from now on and I am so glad I discovered this top notch business them! read more

Of course our dryer takes a crap when it's full of wet clothes. The next day, after attending YouTube university, I called Welch's and talked to Lindsey. They had the exact element I needed and she also asked if my thermostats were still good. Hell, I do t know! She offered to test them for me if I brought down the element assembly. Sure enough, thermostats were good and dryer element was bad. Same day fix thanks to the help and advise from Lindsey at Welch's! REMEMBER TO CLEAN YOUR DRYER ANNUALLY! read more

I called to a dishwasher repair, I was told they did not repair dishwashers. Instead, they referred me to two other repairmen in the area, now that's customer service! read more

Welch's is a first class family outfit! I needed a glass tray for my older microwave and they were over $100 used if I could even find one on Ebay. I called a few other used parts places that came up on Yelp and they did not have the part, and nobody had it new. I decided to try one last call before biting the bullit on a new microwave, and tried the next one on the list, Welch's. The lady there was very nice and amazingly they had my tray used, and she said they were going for $100 to $150 on Ebay but she didn't feel right charging that much, and she sold it to me for $40, and after a $10 tip I happily warmed up some coffee when back home! read more

Welch's is the place to go for the best customer service and quality used appliances! Look no further and check them out. They are the best!

Not Welch's, we bought a stove from them a few weeks ago. Got it home (we used our own box truck) the front burner didn't work. They said when we bought it that it had a warranty. When I called to have it repaired they said it would be a $65.00 charge to have them come out and repair it because by us taking it home ourselves we voided the warranty for them to come to the house and we could bring it back into the store to get it fixed under warranty or pay $65. I asked why we weren't told that we were voiding the warranty by taking it home ourselves and she said it was in the paperwork they gave us after the sale (my fault I should have read it) however I pointed out that the saleswoman told me that if they didn't install the new cord on it it would void the warranty why she didn't also mention that if we delivered it ourselves it would void the warranty. She said it was in the paperwork and that I was being rude and she was going to do it for free but now she wasn't going to. I said I'm not being rude I'm upset there's a difference I'm not being belligerent I'm not yelling at you but you are going to punish me for being upset that I just bought a $400.00 stove and it doesn't work and now I have to pay to have you come fix it three days later. I asked her how much it would have cost to have it delivered. It was $65.00 ‍ so either way you have to pay which is fine but they should tell you that up front. I get that I should have read the fine print of the warranty but I just felt like it was crappy to threaten to not help me because I was upset about it. It was 3 days before Christmas. Also I asked how I would have known it didn't work in the shop and if there was a way to have tested it out on site and she said no. I feel like this is deceptive in practice in order to charge extra fees. Just my experience but I would not recommend them. They did come out and fix it for free however we ended up having to repair the stove again same burner after they came. Needless to say we did not call back to have them repair it a second time. read more

Excellent service when my refrigerator stopped working the people at Welch's sent pictures of possible reconditioned pictures of ones that would work for me. Then they delivered it the next day and removed the old one. It comes with a six month warranty on parts and labor. I am more than happy with my purchase and the incredible customer service! read more

Our washer locking mechanism broke and we called after getting strung along by a repair man locally. I spoke with Lindsay and she next day ordered the part for us. We were without a washer for a family of 5 for almost 2 weeks. So after receiving the part we got home and decided to repair it ourselves, (myself and my 9 year old son). Lindsay told us just to look up the instructions. The repair took us less than 30 minutes and we are back to washing again! read more

Great customer service! Lindsey knows her stuff. So good to have a local business that helps.

My experience with Welch's was flawless from the sales person to the delivery guys. Their employees are very knowledgeable, friendly and polite. Plus, they did a beautiful job cleaning up the used washer and dryer so they look brand new. Fingers crossed that I get many years out of this product. I went with a set that wasn't computerized so we will see. Got 30 years out of my Maytag set! read more

Welch's Appliances - Kenmore "used" washer and dryer - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Olympia, Washington

Welch's Appliances is a remarkable operation. They are quick to respond, honest, knowledgable and cheerful. Lynsey, who took my call, was incredibly helpful in assisting me by finding the exact part I needed for the best price. She seemed more interested in offering me a superior service than in making a fast buck...I have referred several people to this group and never regretted it. I always hear how happy my friends and associates are in having found Welches, for purchases and repairs. What a delight and a relief to have them available when we need them. I will continue to suggest that Welches be your first stop when you have home appliance needs! They are the best around! read more

WONDERFUL SERVICE, QUALITY AND VALUE!! EMPLOYEES AND OWNER, AMANDA ARMITAGE, WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND TO HELP ME GET A WASHER/DRYER SET! I'M SO GRATEFUL THAT SOMEONE TOLD ME ABOUT WELCH'S APPLIANCE, PARTS AND SERVICE... Recently purchased reconditioned washer and dryer for my apartment. I had been going in to Welch's looking at washer/dryer sets for about 6 months, asking questions and seeing the prices on the reconditioned type that I needed (I have two Maltese, little dogs, don't shed) for all my dog blankets that i like to keep clean. I'm practical and only wash every one to two months and don't overload my washer. However, I live in Tumwater and I was going to my Mother's home in Boston Harbour to do laundry once a month and it took forever. So, my need for a washer/dryer was getting more and more necessary. So, this brings me back to going to Welch's several times in the last 6 months asking endless questions. Whomever was working ALWAYS took the time to talk to me about what was newly reconditioned and NEVER did i feel rushed!! When I finally made my purchase, it was through the owner, Amanda Armitage, it was about 20 minutes before closing. She was AMAZING, TOOK HER TIME, and explained everything as she was doing it. I needed delivery, so that took a little extra time as well but no rushing. Like all her employees, she was wonderful!! I forgot to mention it was the day after Christmas and again 20 minutes before they closed. "Welch's Appliances, Parts and Service" is the epitome of good business practice, friendly, KNOWLEDGABLE and work in a relaxed atmosphere. Thank you Amanda and all the staff at Welch's Appliance... read more

Excellent service, experts in repair. Came into the store with my broken washing machine pump that I managed to disassemble from the body but had no idea where to go after that. The owner repaired it for me on the spot, no charge, and washer works good as new! I will definitely be a repeat customer, and know I can trust their reconditioned appliances to be as good as new, too. read more

Fast, Reliable, Affordable Service. I needed service for my dryer and I was looking for a local outfit to take it to. I gave Welch's a call and they were very friendly and informative, so I decided to bring in my machine. They were transparent about their billing and service turnaround times, so I felt comfortable with how it was going to go before I even got there. True to their word, they reached out a short while later and let me know what was causing the need for service and that my machine was ready to go. My dryer is running like a champ for a fair price and I feel confident in heading straight to Welch's with any future service or repair needs for any of my appliances. read more

Was recommended by a repairman when our dryer acted up. The cost of repairing our old one would have been the cost of a new one. We didn't need a brand new one with all the bells & whistles. So into Welch's we went. Not a big selection. But we did find a used dryer that sufficed. Small delivery fee but that included hauling out the old one. And it was delivered the next day during the time promised. Delivery went great. Poor guy had to cart old and new thru 3 flights of stairs. Careful not to ding the walls. Hooked up dryer. No problems. read more

I had a problem with my refrigerator coils freezing up. This happened twice previously but the incidents were getting closer together. I asked Lindsay at Welches if she could provide me with an exploded view of the internal workings of my refirgerator. She printed it out for me and we discussed what is likely the problem which was confirmed by the appliance tech guy (Taylor??). ( I thought it was a timer but I was not correct.) I bought the part, took it home and found I had more questions about the install, I called them back and they told me what I needed to know. I installed it and the refrigerator is working fine. The part that I needed cost me $20.00 which was the best value repair and consult I have ever had. Their consultation was spot on. Very helpful and gracious people. When ever I have an appliance need or issue this is where I stop first. read more

HAPPY CUSTOMERS HERE!!! We needed a new stove so we bought one on OfferUp that wasn't working correctly. We called Welch's who said they'd be happy to look at it. We hauled the old stove and the newly acquired one in on Saturday, as they take old ones to recycle for a small donation to the Thurston County Foodbank. We paid the very reasonable diagnostic fee and, leaving out a lot of sordid details about moving stoves and electrical problems, it turned out to be our breaker box - it didn't have the correct amperage breakers! Amanda was BEYOND accommodating and helpful. She was so generous with helping us, we were blown away. She is the epitome of what a good business owner is. Her staff are also polite, friendly, and helpful. We are customers for life. Now I hope our fridge breaks so we can get a better one. I know where I'll be shopping! THANK YOU, AMANDA & TEAM! read more

I wouldn't patronize anybody else for appliances. They are hard-working, stand by their work, they are honest, they are kind and They are a Joy to do business with. The staff here are so helpful and generous with their time. I was trying to self-diagnose an error code on my oven and spent nearly three weeks and several phone calls and in-person visits trying to figure it out. The desk person, Lindsey gave me a bunch of direction for where to look next. In the end it turned out to be a bad control board with no replacement available. Because of the great customer service I ended buying the replacement here. The prices are great and the oven works perfectly. read more

I called in desperation after the repair guy cancelled on us. A wonderful lady with a great sense of humor walked me through and made sure we would be washing clothes again within two days. I took care of the financial side over the phone and the appointment was set. Their delivery person showed up and was awesome. He got the old units out and allowed me time to clean the floor where the washer and dryer had been (thank you). The entire house call took less than an hour and we were washing clothes again and very happy with our experience with Welch's. thank you Welch's read more

We came in last week wanting a washer and dryer, since we just moved to the area. Amanda was helpful and still gave us space. We found a set We wanted right away. We got delivery set up and they honored military discount. Nick came to deliver and install and was very nice and helpful. Made sure everything worked. We are very satisfied with our purchase and the customer sercice. Just got a used fridge from Welches. This is the 3rd used appliance we've purchased from them in the last 6 or 7 years and we have no complaints. The fridge is working like a champ so far, the last dryer has paid for itself already. The one before it was low end, old and cheaper and that held up for 5 years. Slightly more than $10 a year to own. Yeah, we'll keep doing that. Staff, including the charmer than delivered the fridge were great. read more

Charges $40 to tell you your appliance is broke when you already know it's broke! Hook you into paying much more to fix an appliance than it's worth. These folks are great! After a bad experience with Sears I tried Welchs and have been very happy. The ice maker in our refridgerator flooded the freezer. Taylor came out found it was a broken water valve. He had the part with him and he had it fixed in 30 minutes. Then he cleaned up the floor under and behind the ref , and got the frozen water out of the bottom of the freezer. This was above and beyond the expectation. The ice maker needed adjustment so he can back to correct it for no charge. Welchs clearly stands behind their work. Also the owner who answered the phone and the tech, Taylor, are both very curious and respectful. I highly recommend them! read more
