Welche's Appliance was recommended to me by my long time handy person and what a great tip! I have an older GE dryer that I love and wanted to keep it going. Taylor came out for a very reasonable price to diagonose the problem for me and helped me order a replacement part. He also inspected and cleaned the dryer while he was in there and said the heating element didn't need replaced, as I had asked him to go ahead and do it as well if warranted. When the part arrived he came out again at no extra charge to install the part. Taylor and his scheduling staff at Welches really go above and beyond to help you keep your appliances running and should the day arrive when you do need a replacement they have both new and refurbished ones for sale. Of course our dryer takes a crap when it's full of wet clothes. The next day, after attending YouTube university, I called Welch's and talked to Lindsey. They had the exact element I needed and she also asked if my thermostats were still good. Hell, I do t know! She offered to test them for me if I brought down the element assembly. Welch's is a first class family outfit! I needed a glass tray for my older microwave and they were over $100 used if I could even find one on Ebay. I called a few other used parts places that came up on Yelp and they did not have the part, and nobody had it new. I decided to try one last call before biting the bullit on a new microwave, and tried the next one on the list, Welch's. The lady there was very nice and amazingly they had my tray used, and she said they were going for $100 to $150 on Ebay but she didn't feel right charging that much, and she sold it to me for $40, and after a $10 tip I happily warmed up some coffee when back home! read more

Not Welch's, we bought a stove from them a few weeks ago. Got it home (we used our own box truck) the front burner didn't work. They said when we bought it that it had a warranty. When I called to have it repaired they said it would be a $65.00 charge to have them come out and repair it because by us taking it home ourselves we voided the warranty for them to come to the house and we could bring it back into the store to get it fixed under warranty or pay $65. I asked why we weren't told that we were voiding the warranty by taking it home ourselves and she said it was in the paperwork they gave us after the sale (my fault I should have read it) however I pointed out that the saleswoman told me that if they didn't install the new cord on it it would void the warranty why she didn't also mention that if we delivered it ourselves it would void the warranty. She said it was in the paperwork and that I was being rude and she was going to do it for free but now she wasn't going to. I said I'm not being rude I'm upset there's a difference I'm not being belligerent I'm not yelling at you but you are going to punish me for being upset that I just bought a $400.00 stove and it doesn't work and now I have to pay to have you come fix it three days later. I asked her how much it would have cost to have it delivered. It was $65.00 ‍ so either way you have to pay which is fine but they should tell you that up front. I get that I should have read the fine print of the warranty but I just felt like it was crappy to threaten to not help me because I was upset about it. It was 3 days before Christmas. Also I asked how I would have known it didn't work in the shop and if there was a way to have tested it out on site and she said no. I feel like this is deceptive in practice in order to charge extra fees. Just my experience but I would not recommend them. They did come out and fix it for free however we ended up having to repair the stove again same burner after they came. Needless to say we did not call back to have them repair it a second time. read more

Our washer locking mechanism broke and we called after getting strung along by a repair man locally. I spoke with Lindsay and she next day ordered the part for us. I gave Welch's a call and they were very friendly and informative, so I decided to bring in my machine. I needed a very specific clamp for my dishwasher and called several other appliance stores, none of which had what I needed and their customer service was average. Was recommended by a repairman when our dryer acted up. The cost of repairing our old one would have been the cost of a new one. We didn't need a brand new one with all the bells & whistles. So into Welch's we went. Not a big selection. But we did find a used dryer that sufficed. Small delivery fee but that included hauling out the old one. And it was delivered the next day during the time promised. Delivery went great. Poor guy had to cart old and new thru 3 flights of stairs. Careful not to ding the walls. Hooked up dryer. I had a problem with my refrigerator coils freezing up. This happened twice previously but the incidents were getting closer together. I asked Lindsay at Welches if she could provide me with an exploded view of the internal workings of my refirgerator. She printed it out for me and we discussed what is likely the problem which was confirmed by the appliance tech guy (Taylor??). ( I thought it was a timer but I was not correct.) I bought the part, took it home and found I had more questions about the install, I called them back and they told me what I needed to know. I installed it and the refrigerator is working fine. The part that I needed cost me $20.00 which was the best value repair and consult I have ever had. Their consultation was spot on. Very helpful and gracious people. My dryer stopped working on Sunday my wife called Monday they came the next day and had my dryer working in less then an hr later. She had the dryer ripped apart in 5 mins showed me what she was doing and what everything was she was very informative and very friendly I'm very glad we called saved so much money compared to other repair places I've talked to. HAPPY CUSTOMERS HERE!!! We needed a new stove so we bought one on OfferUp that wasn't working correctly. We called Welch's who said they'd be happy to look at it. We hauled the old stove and the newly acquired one in on Saturday, as they take old ones to recycle for a small donation to the Thurston County Foodbank. We paid the very reasonable diagnostic fee and, leaving out a lot of sordid details about moving stoves and electrical problems, it turned out to be our breaker box - it didn't have the correct amperage breakers! Amanda was BEYOND accommodating and helpful. She was so generous with helping us, we were blown away. She is the epitome of what a good business owner is. I was trying to self-diagnose an error code on my oven and spent nearly three weeks and several phone calls and in-person visits trying to figure it out. The desk person, Lindsey gave me a bunch of direction for where to look next. In the end it turned out to be a bad control board with no replacement available. The fridge is working like a champ so far, the last dryer has paid for itself already. The one before it was low end, old and cheaper and that held up for 5 years. Charges $40 to tell you your appliance is broke when you already know it's broke! Hook you into paying much more to fix an appliance than it's worth. Better service would be to give estimate based on what you know needs repaired so customer can determine if the repairs are worth the cost. read more

These folks are great! After a bad experience with Sears I tried Welchs and have been very happy. The ice maker in our refridgerator flooded the freezer. Taylor came out found it was a broken water valve. He had the part with him and he had it fixed in 30 minutes. Then he cleaned up the floor under and behind the ref , and got the frozen water out of the bottom of the freezer. This was above and beyond the expectation. The ice maker needed adjustment so he can back to correct it for no charge. Welchs clearly stands behind their work. Also the owner who answered the phone and the tech, Taylor, are both very curious and respectful. I highly recommend them! read more

My husband and I bought a used washer and dryer from Welch's; we were told that they had been tested and refurbished into perfect working order. When it was delivered, I asked the delivery guy to set them up and test them since we weren't able to do that in the store. The dryer worked fine, but the washer leaked. He called the store and brought it back immediately to have it repaired. A few days later, the washer came back. The technician who repaired it help set it up with the delivery driver, tested it, and told me about the 3 repairs he had made to put it back in working order. When he left and I used it a couple times, I realized that there was a bunch of old crud in the seal and in the detergent drawer. I scrubbed them for half an hour, and when my mother-in-law saw them, she spent another hour scrubbing the washer clean. I've been using them for over a month now, and I am satisfied with the machines and the repairs. I have never known a washer to extract so much moisture; the clothes are almost dry when they come out! I would advise the store to clean the machines and test them before they send them out. I would also like to commend them on the repairs, the friendly service of the delivery driver, and the timely return of the washing machine. Also, if we had bought a comprable washer and dryer new, we would have paid about $600 more and they did give us a 6 month warranty for free repairs, but there are no refunds, only store credits for returns. read more
