Gotta love a process that is intuitive and effective! They let us have an early check-out the next day, so we didn't have to pay for an extra night, which was super nice! When we go back, I will ask about spaces near the river. My friend and I sat down next to the river at an un-occupied RV space and watched the sunset and listened to the flowing water. Very nice. No, the place is not perfect, and might feel a bit rough around the edges for some people, but it has that sort of "Riggins" feel, which fits my attitude nicely. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat if I needed a place to park my RV for a night.

Alpine offered the ideal setup for us, affording motel rooms, large & small lodges (more like Air B&Bs), and RV and tent spaces - plus outdoor and indoor areas for group dining, fire pits, and some limited recreation (the indoor "Pavilion"). Something for everyone! The motel rooms were upgraded, with a forest/country theme. The owner and staff bent over backwards to accommodate us in every way. We were totally pleased and highly recommend this place.

Copperfield campground has been our spot for many years. We have noticed over the last few years…read moreand just during out recent stay, that large groups come and they are very loud and the kids run all over. There were groups of kids running and yelling through our camp spot. About 20 adults gathered by a campfire near us and about 10 kids ran wild, yelling and etc. They took over the area and had no respect for other campers. The evening before this happened a group of about 30 rafters came in and surrounded us and were loud. It seems like the big groups have taken over and they do not respect others. Copperfield is no longer the peaceful place that you can just sit in your campspot and enjoy visiting or walking around. Getting hit by kids on scooters and etc is a worry. There is a sign that says no scooters on the walk up to the restroom but kids use this to ride their bikes, scooters you name it. The host drives by and sees and hears it all but doesn't do anything about it. It says quiet time is at 11 pm, but that's a long time to wait for a little peace and quiet and courtesy from others. Sorry for the bad review, it's just very disappointing.
