In preparation for the first major snow in 2 years, I had to go grocery shopping. As expected, Wegmans was packed and it was a madhouse....a well- run madhouse. Employees were moving with a sense of urgency assisting customers and I saw managers stocking shelves. The reason for my 5-star review? EMILY on the register aisle 11-12. She is a machine!!! In the time it took her coworkers to process one customer, she completed 4 sales!!! She scanned all my groceries while in the cart and got me out in record time! Of course, whenever I come back I'll be looking for her register! GIVE HER A RAISE!!!! read more

Great selection, always clean and the shelves are always stocked. The only issue I've noticed is that sometimes I'll see some rotten or wilted produce mixed in with the fresh. Understandable but quality control for a grocery chain of this size with this price point should be better. Ample parking spots at this location as well read more

Honestly I love this place I come here all the time to get my sushi for lunch... clean place ! . Only thing that I would recommend is better customer service but hey no one is perfect read more

I use Wegmans for everything! I love them! Catering is bomb! Personal event and small work events - I am a solid advocate. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because no matter the Wegmans I go to, at least in VA, it is incredibly congested because there is no directional flow of traffic; inside the store or in the parking lot. Nevertheless, the people are super friendly, always wanting to help, very courteous. Build more please! read more

Of all the new stores in VA, this one is just the pits - it's TOO SMALL!!!! The aisles are too narrow to accommodate the crowds trying to navigate through them in both directions. My bride and I felt like we were being pushed through the aisles just so other people could get through as well. This isn't how I like to shop - I want to be able to take my time, I don't want to be rushed through the place just because it's that crowded. The food, in the market cafe' is good. Being able to sit down at a sushi bar, with a glass of wine, is comforting and helps take the edge off the experience when necessary. Oh, and the sushi was not like you find at Harris Teeter and the like... it was excellent! Another cool thing here was having the local football game on Television in the Market Cafe'. As others have said, they have excellent beer, wine, cheese and Meat selections - you can't go wrong there. I've said in other reviews for other Wegmans Stores that I really like, Wegmans isn't just a store, it's an experience. In this case, it was a little uncomfortable experience. I'm a fan of Wegmans, but not a fan of this particular store. read more

I love this store and go practically every weekend. They have everything you need and want. I am a food lover and they have it all. I especially appreciate that I don't need to go to multiple stores for different items. Their prices are very reasonable. The produce is very fresh. They carry both organic and conventional. The cashiers are very nice. This location has a lot of space to move around compared to the Alexandria and Fairfax locations. read more

I wish this store was EVERYWHERE! Once you go in and shop it's easy to see why they are the number 1 grocery store in America. Great food, customer service, and selection. read more

I've been to many Wegmen's, the one in Alexandria, Fairfax, Gainesville, PA, NJ find this one in Woodbridge the worst one managed. Been there, and actually found no garlic, wanted to make a key lime pie no juice. Every time I go there there's always something they don't have. My son went there last night for dinner to get a sub, he wanted chicken Parmesan, the lady was rude and said they didn't have any marinara sauce. REALLY?? I told my son I would have gone and got a jar and stuck in her face. Make it. Hard to get good help. read more

The Wegmans2Go experience is rough. I ordered a simple meal for curbside pickup. The wait time was over an hour and when I arrived I still had to wait close to 20 minutes for my order. I had wanted to get curbside because of the weather but there was a lack of spots available. Many of the spots were taken by cars parked without a passenger so I'm assuming customers are using curbside as additional parking. The 2Go experience is definitely not worth the hassle and I will absolutely not do it again. read more

Always stocked and clean. Employees are always friendly! Love coming here.. especially for bakery items. They have the best bakery.

High end supermarket with high end prices. The hot food court is disgusting. Food was not of well quality for the high price. And parking os a nightmare too. read more

Terrible customer service from a chain that boasts about that being one of their company core values and strengths. Came here to blow up balloons for my cousins baby shower and they said there was nothing they could do to help me out since I brought in 5 of my own balloons. I mentioned being from out of town/having no clue where I was in Woodbridge and being totally fine purchasing other balloons from them and getting charged an extra fee to do this. Nope, nothing. Instead I just got a sad, "we don't do that here" even though they have a dedicated "balloon station" and massive helium tank in house....pathetic. If the WHOLE FOODS in DC can do this for their customers, then so can you Wegmans. Disappointed. read more

Look no further than here for your go-to grocery store. Mikayal provided exceptional service to my husband and I. He was extremely friendly and kind, he even grabbed a basket for our things. Customer service is what keeps me coming back to a place over and over, this place has it. Not to mention they also have everything that you could possible need from international options to organic, all natural. read more

Always love coming here early in the mornings to enjoy some of their delicious coffee and pick out a delicious pastry from their bakery.Afterwards,I spend probably like an hour looking around because it's a huge grocery store. They offer a whole variety of items including gluten free/organic.Some of the pricing is a most too much, that's the only problem I have with this store. read more

I am sending many thanks to the bakery staff at Wegmans for saving the day! On June 9th, I went into the store expecting pick up a Jo-Jo Unicorn birthday cake for my granddaughter. Then the news came, we don't have a cake for you. Well after further discussions, we discovered I had placed the order in the Woodbridge, New Jersey bakery!!!!! Oh my goodness I was 3 hours from the birthday party!!! Immediately, the Manager and her assistant began to see how they could work with me and get this issue resolved. Can I just say an hour and 15 mins later a cake was done, special request and all!!!!!!!! Ladies, thank you, thank you, thank you for being a blessing!! read more

This grocery store has an amazing cheese and bakery section compared to others that I have been to. Partly the reason why I am writing this review is because there was a woman who entered and walked through the entire store with no mask on during the pandemic. This was not the problem though. The problem that I personally had was she walked up to one of the employees who was an older man and asked him where one of the food items was. not once during their conversation did he tell her that she was required to wear a mask. I would be giving Wegmans a 1 star for this but the other employees there are usually very helpful and the food buffet before the pandemic was amazing. read more

The best Wegman I've been to so far. Super clean and have a good variety of options. Prices are also reasonable.

I love to shop at this store. However, picking up at curb side was a very low quality. I picked up for the first time and it took me 30-35 minutes wait. But there's only 2 cars in front of me. It shouldn't take that long. I've tried another day thinking that it will be slow during the week days but it's the same thing. This time, It took me longer than 45-50 minutes wait just to pick my groceries? Come on Wegmans!! Where are your good service? You can do better than this. The groceries was already ready, why is it taking that long to dropped it off to the curbside? AJ read more

I'm a frequent buyer of green beans and broccoli. Wegmans sells them in steamable bags. The vegetables themselves are organic as well. ($1.99 per bag) When you take the bags home and microwave them (follow instructions precisely), the food tastes the same as if it was slow cooked in a pot. You're getting massive savings in time and energy. Wegmans also does a nice job with ground turkey and chicken drumsticks. The shopping experience is fantastic. The store is clean, associates are knowledgeable and friendly, and there are carts for every purpose. read more

I work very hard and long ...12+hour days. I decided to go to wegmans on my 15 min break. I ordered a sandwich with salami and Swiss cheese from a person named leanne. As I am walking back to my office which is literally around the corner... I opened my sandwich and noticed that the meat was hanging out. I wrapped it back up and said to myself I will eat it when I sit down. Once I got back to work I opened it fully up and it looked like she grabbed a bunch of stuff and just threw it on the bread.... I was pissed. I went back and complained to the manager and another lady made my sandwich. I hate having to complain about someone purposefully not doing their job. The lady that was in front of me had a sandwich that was beautiful. Why do I have to go through that. I AM IN VIRGINIA. I hope that is not that case but i can't think of anything else......can you? read more

The sections for meat, dairy, fruit, and vegetables would be 4 to 5 stars. Same for the pharmacy. The reason for the 1-star overall rating is the customer service counter. I was there today and, yes, it was crowded. I had an inquiry for their lost&found service and waited, with my child, patiently in line. When my turn came, the person behind the counter invited someone to cut in front of us. I realize that queuing is not something that comes easy to DC-area residents, but this was something other than the usual obtuseness: some countries don't have the concept of queuing and this explains, I think, both the behavior of the Wegmans employee and the assumed customer who acted as if rules of decency and order didn't apply in that situation. read more

I'm so tired of driving all the way to Wegmans only to find they are out of what I need. Constantly. Basic vegetables. WTF?! And, there's never any employees to help customers. Even in the middle of the day... On a holiday. And, they don't care. Employees just shrug. I used to love Wegmans. Maybe it's just the one in Woodbridge. New manager please. And, definitely get a new produce manager! No excuse! read more

Wegmans is simply heaven. A heaven for food. I'm going to compare it mostly to what I think is the next nicest grocery store: Whole Foods. Wegmans is way cheaper than Whole Foods, they have more selection (since they DO include all foods), and they have a much larger fresh food selection. First, there are the groceries. Wegmans is so huge. I don't think the even BUILD and new ones unless they have a mile of open space. They have everything you could ever want. Best beer selection around AND a walk in beer fridge! They also strive to have a local and diverse selection. Example - I now live in North Carolina, where a small soda called Cheerwine is made. I still can't find it much here, and only in 2 liters at the supermarket. Well WEGMENS in WOODBRIDGE, VA carries Cheerwine (diet and non diet) in 24 pack glass bottles for $12! Heaven. Then there's the hot food. Anything you can imagine! From a delicious sushi bar to hot subs to full dinner meals ready to go. The bakery is huge, and everything is wide open so you can see everything baking/cooking/preparing. This, my friends, is the definition of heaven. If Wegmans someday decides to grace us all in North Carolina... I will probably live in the store. read more

After 3 years from my initial review I had to come back and update my review since what I call "The Wegmans Experience" is no longer valid. Like I always do in my reviews I discuss the reason for my rating by dividing it into separate sections. THE STORE. The store has lost its Cozy Charm and inside is starting to look more like a Wal-Mart. They have remove shelves that were dividing different sections of the store. For example the Cheese and olives section from the produce. Now it is wide open. There is an increase of noise and buying specialty cheeses is no longer a special experience. Wegmans is pushing its Family packs. As such they have pallets that are not even properly aligned through out the store giving it the appearance of a Sam's, BJ's or COSTCO but without the warehouse prices. The store floors were dirty. And this was not a one time, they have not clean yet situation. There is a crude building in front of some of the shelves and refrigerators like if nobody has clean in weeks, or worst yet, they don't really clean the floor, they just go trough the motions. THE SEA FOOD BAR is gone. They took (according to the store front manager) the two top dishes and they are selling them next to the sushi bar. This new "order window" looks to me less appealing than the McDonald inside a Wal-Mart. PRICES. Normally you have no problem paying a bit extra for good quality and good service. The prices in Wegmans continue to increase while the "Magic" is gone. SERVICE. I had issues again with a cashier when I was using the self-checkout and she was shooting the breeze with other employees instead of paying attention to the customers. I also was not to trill with the response I got from an employee when I asked what happen to the Sea Food Bar. She was focusing on the fact I could get a beer in the new "order window." I could care less for a beer. I wanted to sit at the counter, look in the menu and order a meal. It used to be a really pleasant experience. CONCLUSION. Don't go out of your way to go to Wegmans. Most Supermarkets in the area have been renovating and making them more appealing. I will still go if I need something and I am in there area. I am extremely disappointed. read more

150 reviews.... a grocery store chain that spans the East coast; & is an oasis in the desert of overpriced/low quality markets, trendy specialty stores that are cute but never really fill the fridge and pantry, and low-priced options that are great for buying generic products... (but, wait a second, why is my turkey bacon an odd shade of pink like that new Essie polish I picked up the other day?.... yeah, you know which store I'm referring to!).... yes, Wegmans surpasses all of these. However, as pleasant as this shopping experience is, I can only probably afford to shop regularly if I purchase most of the Wegmans-brand products. This is quite a drive for me (but, so is their other location which is closer). I once bought salmon that I thought looked so fresh in their heavenly seafood department, only to try to cook it the next day, when it reeked of that dead-fish-gone-spoiled smell that makes one really consider being a vegetarian. Yes, so four stars, overall. Layout is easy on the eyes... they have everything... I'm a fan. read more

We just got charged for 54 rolls @ Wegmans Woodbridge, while all we bought were 4 rolls. $40 extra are not a small amount. What if we hadn't noticed it? Would they have returned us the money?.. After that, the cashier said that he can't refund it and we had to wait at the customer service desk to have it straightened out. Now I'll have to check every receipt, as I can't really trust them after that. That is exactly what I had to do when I was shopping at Mom's Organic Market, and that is exactly why I stopped shopping there. Two thumbs down. #wegmans read more

Wegman's is great and bad for you. It's great because it's kind of a one stop shop type place where you can pickup veggies/meats/ready made meals as well as lipstick, light bulbs, new cups/dishes, etc etc. And it's bad for you because you spend way more than you intended to upon your arrival. My suggestion would be go to during non-peak hours, which is probably week days during business hours because this place is CRAZY on the weekends or if a holiday is nearing. So upon your first entrance in Wegman's you are immediately overwhelmed at the sheer size of this place. If you forge forward you hit the produce section, which is amazingly awesome as they offer a diverse array of items including prickly pair, mango & papayas - even with an Organic section. If you go right, you head towards the pizza, subs, line after line of buffets, SUSHI, pastries, deli, and on and on and on.... My favorites: variety of fish, curry salt (new discovery), individually packed meats for easy use, Wegman brands, which are a little cheaper than name brand, but are NOT lacking in quality and the WINE/BEER section... intimidating! My kids' favorites: sliced pepperoni, cookies, sushi, European style soda, and the train on the track above your head near the milk. There is so much to see, LEARN and explore in this store. If you have a few extra minutes - take a while down some of the tea/vitamin/fair trade aisles... I always discover something new whenever I have time to browse, which is dangerous for my bottom line, but in the end... worth it! read more

You remember that game show from the 90s called Supermarket Sweep?? The one where contestants earn time on the clock so they can run through a grocery store and throw tons of crap into their carts in hopes of having the highest total bill?!? Well, put that game show in a Wegman's, 4 minutes on the clock, and myself behind the shopping cart and damage would be done! Screw the diapers and detergent, I'm going for the craft beers, wine, gourmet cheeses, seafood bar, pastries, beef tenderloin, and prepared meals...and I would easily break the $1000 mark. This place has everything! Though most of the regular groceries are pretty reasonably priced, hit up the Market Cafe side and you can break the bank. Everything is pretty damn awesome, especially the fact that they serve alkie at the seafood bar. Badass! read more

I like Wegmans - it is the shopping paradise - but today they failed as I encountered the rudest employee in the Health and Organic section - de Must think this location has been here For several years as I asked were the Organic clothing section went - and of course it hasn't been there for several years - I think not - the location has only been there for at least 10 and I used to shop that section all the time! read more

Ah Weggies.. How I loveth thee. This is THE best grocery store in Northern Va. None come close to what this place offers. HUGE fresh produce and organic options await you as soon as you walk in. Veer to the right and theres the bakery with fresh bagels and breads. Further down theres the food court area which I'll touch on later. Now as you pass the bread spot theres the bakery that does cakes and deserts. Wegmans cakes are AMAZING. Ive gotten so many compliments. Farther down you have the deli where they have just about every kind of delicious sliced animals for your sandwhich/sub. Now the other side... this is man heaven. Huge seafood area. Different kinds of fish, shrimp, lobster, and scallops too. The ppl back there are awesome too, very helpful. Then you have the butchers. Big selection of steaks, kabobs, etc await you here. Everything Ive gotten was great. As you make your way to the actual grocery store a certain smell hits you. And you realize its a big cheese area. Next to that a florist spot that always has beautiful arrangements. The actual grocery itself is gigantic and the shelves are always well stocked. Now last but not least. The food court. Want a sub? Theres a sub shop. Sushi? check. Fresh pizza? check. and the hot bar is full with asian/american/indian/latin food. For a foodie like me.. this place is a dream. Oh, and its impeccably clean there too. Yea the lines are long sometimes but they move quick and you expect such an amazing place to be busy read more

I love this place except for how crowded it gets! I'm not sure I'd even classify Wegman's as a grocery store due to its awesomeness. I love their vast selection of organic products! I also LOVE their seasonal section which always carries cute items similar to a Hallmark. Their bakery, butcher, salad bar, pre-prepared foods are fantastic. They always have plenty of checkout lines open and their workers are actually NICE! Their prices are comporable to other grocery stores so don't' be fooled. The shelves are stocked. Pros: Everything on your list and more is stocked, lots of fresh and pre-made options, excellent gourmet selections of cheese, dips, etc., Great bakery section casual dining right in the store cart service Cons: Too large to get in and out quickly Bagels were not fresh when I went about 8am on Saturday morning Not enough refrigerated beer A little more pricey than other grocery stores Freezing, turn down the A/C! My experience with Wegmans began in Easton, PA where my friends and I referred to it at the "Disney World of food!" This location is a true disappointment. Unpleasant and unhelpful employees. A truly pathetic produce section and a bakery with absolutely no variety, unless you want cheesecake...Seriously, how do you have a case-line display with only one type of pastry?! Great cheese and wine departments, if you don't need any friendly advise with your selections. The Sushi section is very good, and the staff there are usually at least, personable. The guys in the meat department make the trip worthwhile! After 6 years living in S FL, I was so happy to see a Wegmans in my new neighborhood. Very good grocery store. They truly have created an exceptional offering for the costumer. Great selection of meats and vegetables. They are not a bulk food chain.
