I wanted to give a shoutout to Thomas at Lidl in Woodbridge today, May 28th. He was extremely friendly, professional, and hardworking the entire time he was checking me out. He stayed calm, helpful, and kept everything moving smoothly. You can tell he genuinely cares about customers and takes pride in his work. Employees like Thomas are a big reason why I enjoy shopping at Lidl. Great customer service and a great attitude! read more

Sooooo in love with Lidl!!! I highly recommend going during the middle of the day if you can. Checkout lines move quickly so you do not have to wait long to pay for all your goodies. My entire grocery trip was less than $20 which is a total score for me. No meats purchased but even still I could easily get everything need for under $40 in one trip. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies that are reasonably priced. Bakery is bomb.com. Lots of fresh baked goodies to sink your teeth into from apple turnovers, pretzel rolls, pretzels, blueberry muffins and of course doughnuts!!! The store is spacious and has a wide variety of wines and beer too if you like a liquid libation : ) If you do not want to pay the 7 cent for a paper bag, bring your own bag to save you some cents. Surprise, surprise my receipt contained a $5 off coupon for my next visit, so as you can imagine I will be back. Staff was friendly and nice, store was clean. They definitely make eating healthy an affordable lifestyle. It rhymes with needle because it is the needle in the haystack of grocery stores!!! read more

Awesome European experiential addition to Woodbridge Virginia! We went to our first Lidl in Barcelona Spain. Perhaps we walked into one in Paris as well. We have not visited the ones added in the Virginia area until now.  The addition of Lidl in Woodbridge is just outstanding.  The variety, selections, and size are everything a local resident could need. The friendly staff, helpful people, and location are great as well. The meats and alcohol section & prices alone are incredible. The healthy and organic sections are impressive too. Not to mention you can buy your children new winter boots, or a yoga mat, in the middle of the store!  I will not complain at all about buying Steaks, Malbec red wine, Menthol drops, Corn, Beans, Orange Juice, and about 4 other things all for just 20-bucks.  No complaints at all! Thanks Lidl for making Woodbridge, VA your newest home. read more

This place has good deals on food but the cleanliness of the store and range of product prices has declined. Their steaks are some of the best priced and tasting meat around; however, their frozen item selection has a "deal" area but everything else seems comparable to other grocery stores. Their bakery items are delicious though. There is a strict no tag no sale rule. On one visit, I grabbed an item (1 out of 8/9 remaining on the shelf) and at the register it didn't have a tag. I ran back to grab another and none of them had one, so when I told the woman at checkout she said, sorry, I can't sell it to you. I told her that the others didn't have tags either, but all she did was throw it in a return cart. Hopefully they rectified the situation but based on the interaction seems doubtful. At another visit, several lanes had their lights on and no lines but the cashiers rudely said their lines were closed when the other lines were several customers deep. After waiting in line a woman dropped a glass jar of jelly in line and told the cashier it was glass, and the cashier just rolled her eyes and just stood there. The lady asked if she had a trash can and the cashier handed her one and told the manager jelly dropped. Neither the manager nor the cashier tried to clean up the glass so myself and other customers had to step through it! The manager went back to talking to one of the "closed" cashiers who was now taking a transaction. read more

Lidl idiots. Came in a rain storm. My purchases were on the belt, while in line I lean sideways to see if my car windows are shut: the bratty dips#it at the check out accused me of trying to shoplift! Will not return business at this glass-encased looney bin. Cheap, crappy sub-par items falling off shelves. Poorest check out go-go dancers ever. "F" you all. Do not, NOT EVER - EVER - accuse customers of stealing! Rebel says: 0 star box depot read more

I used to like lidt but not since they renovated and they have open fridges and freezers all the surrounding walls. It is freezing in there. Watch out not to get a cold in there. You really need your winter coat in that store all year round. Freezing and when I saw the cashier with her winter coat, I asked if I could borrow it, she said this store is the only one with freezing temperatures on the inside. Whoever did the renovations was not an shoppers. It make senses why they can't keep personnel in that stores, every one get sick and leave. Well I can only hope some put doors on those fridges/ freezers or put the heat on inside that store. read more

This one is dirty, and doesn't even have the self checkout maybe only one line open. Employees aren't bad but definitely limited staff

I am a huge fan of Lidl!!! This was my first time at this location, but it's no different than the manassas location. I I use to go to the Manassas location when I lived in Virginia. They have the best fruit and prices out of all the grocery chains. They have items that you wouldn't normally find, but you have to go and see for yourself. This place has a great nut section to weigh your selections and a great pasty section for fresh bread, cookies, and homemade donuts! It seems like their frozen food section is expanding to more brands so that's always a plus. read more

I went to Lidl Woodbridge VA to get Coors Light on sale ($4 off). It is posted on my Lidl and when I go through the line it does not give me the discount. The manager has to use her card to give me the discount and told me to email corporate Arlington VA to get it corrected. I chatted 2-5-25 with Lidl and they stated that the my Lidl savings ad are limited. I stated but the ad was posted every week for a month or longer. Even the associates stated it has been posted for "forever". The corporate office on chat stated that a item is limited for that price. I stated I understand but if a new add comes out weekly and lists it on sale, does that not mean it is on sale for that price. The Lidl rep on chat stated they only give you that limit and it does not matter how many times it shows up in a advertisement; you will not get that sale price again. I stated that does not make sense. Food Lion had an ad for one week with sales prices and if that price is listed again 6 months later you will get whatever is listed in the ad. Lidl rep stated Lidl does not operate like that and has changed their policies and if they state limit two that is lifetime and you will not receive that sale price again even if it is in a new add. That is crazy. read more

Imagine Ikea and A**i (other German competitor) had a baby; that baby would Lidl. FYI it's pronounced like it rhymes with 'needle'. Though I'm a fan of the competition, and have been so for years, I honestly have to say that this will probably be my go to now for groceries when you compare the two for a few reasons: Super great selection of produce, it looks good and there's a good variety of things like types of onions which actually matters to me as well as expansed options in other categories. Prices are awesome, as expected, buuuuut there are also further discounts in the MyLidl app. Fresh baked goods. Need I say more? Full disclosure, I've visited the Manassas location so I was already aware of the awesomeness that is Lidl, but now I'm completely thrilled that we have one in Woodbridge. read more

I love Lidl, but employees in this location are so rude and the store is going downhill, always messy and dirty, dirty, dirty.

Ship of assholes. The rudest, most unhelpful staff. It's like they don't want anyone shopping there.I would love to to sit in one of their job interviews. "Multiple choice. Do you tell the customer to: A-fuck off B-fuck off Or C- fuck off. Unfucking believable. read more

Since my original review... - local Aldi still not remodeled. Actually, being in the middle of the never ending construction zone, I'm amazed they're still open. But this review isn't about them. - Lidl has acquired two scooter carts for customer use. This is a HUGE plus for those of us with mobility issues!!! Otherwise, things remain about the same. Lidl, Aldi, whichever you prefer. I also supplement with Walmart and Food Lion. I'm adding a star from my original review due to the scooters, but five starts will require bringing back pizza focaccia read more

Still disappointed. I reviewed 3 months ago (now Mother's Day). I purchased apricot jam because it's very hard to find and when I opened the jar that I bought 3 MONTHS ago and used a few times; it was hard and crusty! read more

This place is pretty good. My boyfriend and I shop here every Sunday. For two young kids in a budget this helps us out tremendously. I only suggest for the bakery area maybe have some sort of protection or flap. I've seen many kids just reach their hands in and touch stuff. NO THANK YOU! read more

Honestly always had a good experience here, but today had the worst encounter with one of their cashiers. When she realized (after telling her before) that we would do 2 transactions she rolled her eyes and looked so annoyed. I asked for her name and she asked why and i asked again. She refused to give me her name. I took a picture of her though. Manager only went and talked to her for 5 seconds. I hope more is done. She literally refused to give me her name because she didn't know us. read more

Lidl - Bad cashier - Grocery Near Me - Woodbridge, Virginia

Extremely rude. They start shouting at to get out of the store at 8:45. There are times they have closed 10 mins early for their own convenience. Completely Ignore you when you ask them a question. Idk the hiring process but Someone needs to have a conversation with them customer treatment. read more

The worst possible staff that works there. I drive longer to Manassas just because of staffing. Abdu is a staff member there that is extremely rude, miserable and not afraid to show it. I made complaints but no changes. I fully blame the manager because she/he made no change to his behavior. This man was yelling back and forth with a shopper, he told me to "leave him alone" when I asked if I can walk around him. It's almost seem unbelievable but it's true. Other locations are friendly and helpful, you can definitely learn a thing or two. read more

I really want to give this place 5 stars. I think with some improvements it could be better. They have a great selection of items, great prices and a delicious bakery. The store always looks great inside and I can always find what I need. The time of day that I come in is not too busy and I don't usually have to wait too long for a cashier to check me out. On the flip side, the employees at this location are not very friendly and make the ending of the shopping experience a negative one. I come in at least 2 times a week and I never get a hello or a thank you from the cashiers. Today was the icing on the cake... the cashier did not reply when I said hello, and she was arguing with someone at the checkout lane. It made me very uncomfortable and when she was finished ringing up my items, she handed me my receipt without even looking my way or acknowledging me. I am so disappointed and I don't think I will come back to the store anytime soon. read more

Food selection and prices are very good. Unfortunately they have stopped actively supplying wipes for their carts. When you collar an employee (they don't have many) they say they will see about getting some, but it does not happen. The good thing is that almost all customers are masked. read more

This was a nice supermarket. I like the concept of it and how it's laid out. It's simple and to the point. However, some people told me it's suppose to be cheaper then like Harris Teeter, Giant, Safeway, etc. But some stuff was good priced but others, not so much. Also seems to still be cheaper. But the other thing I don't like much is how far it is. Any who, it's a good grocery store to experience once at least! read more

I have obsessive compulsive disorder and, in short, I obsess over being as frugal as possible. Lidl keeps my consumerism in check; I will explain. I bought 2 weeks worth of groceries for $25!!!!!! I've done the homework: I would've paid about $35 for the same stuff from Aldi and/or Trader Joe's, $50 at Wegmans, and about $60 at MOM's (those are the grocery stores I, personally, shop at). If that doesn't excite you, then my only goal is to be as wealthy as the person reading this review and remaining unaffected. You see, the way my poverty is set up? I'm all for saving money where I can. In addition, LIdl's customer service is stellar AND the checkout process is very efficient. Shoutout to Germany! Thanks for bringing affordability to an area that is far from affordable! read more

I lived in Germany for two years....it had been 9 years since I stepped into a Lidl....yayayayay. just yay. Did I say Yay? Yay. Triple Yay. They have the best dijon mustard and dark pumpernickel bread. Great dark chocokate....saurekraut....wines... Can you open one in Columbia?! read more

So far so good.... this place is Aldi on steroids. Safeway you better step it up in a major way. The customer service is iffy so they better pull it together quickly. The employees are either really energetic or really disgruntled. They are slow to open up extra lanes - not good! That's what I dislike about Aldi' s and if I cant time it were it's not horribly crowded think during the work day...I won't go. The selections are phenomenal. The bakery - momma Mia! Fresh baked breads.... bad time to diet . I am determined to try every item in the bakery section.... ciabatta - yum, brioche - mucho yum, glaze donuts- my kid says yum, veggie pizza - good nothing earth shattering, cheese bread - yum, cross buns - good nothing earth shattering....trying the baguette with dinner , the quiche- blah, Really nice wine selection, meats, cheese. The chocolate options were null / their dark chocolate caps at 70%. Aldo's has them beat with their Miser brand at 85%. Don't insult my dark chocolate loving taste buds. Prices are great and a nice array of produce both organic and not. Can't wait to go back- today was like visiting the museum just taking it all read more

Our newest grocery store is my second favorite! Wegmans is better as far as obscure stuff, selection and the awesome prepared foods but Lidl is my favorite for a quick place to stop and grab essentials! Blows Safeway, Giant, Food Lion and Shoppers away with quality and price - similar to Aldi, but a lot more upscale. Still doesnt compete with Trader joes for awesome weird stuff. read more

Yeah gave them a try since I've been getting several brochures in the mail. I love Aldi's and Price Rite nice selection and prices are right. But I don't think I will be coming back anytime soon...smdh maybe because I came a little later then the evening? But the veggies I just realized were overpriced compared to Aldi's which I went to right after leaving here. Steak selection was minimum and the prices were crazy! Not too much of a selection that I would spend my money on...I might give them another try if I go earlier maybe that was the reason? I don't know but the veggies and fruits I won't be getting from there for sure. read more

I recently found a coupon in the Lidl ad for the for $10.00 dollars off a $50.00 dollar or more purchase. Next day I went to the store and purchased groceries. I further explained it was in the Lidl ad and they claimed it was printed by a third party without their authorization. I will no longer be shopping at the business. read more
