Wegmans has become a joke. Highest prices qualities gone down customer service awful. They don't even rank in the top 15 anymore..

Bought a 2 pack of new york strips. They were basically unchewable. Next visit i stopped by customer service to report my disappointment. The rep asked me if I had bought a 2 pack. I said yes. She said that they had had additional complaints. End of conversation. read more

It's fine. Just a very reasonable in-person grocery shopping experience. The cookies and beer selection are great. The store is well stocked, and clean. It's nice. However, it's 2025 and there are grocery stores elsewhere with impeccable online shopping and curbside pickup, seamless self check out, and better prices. Also, I don't know why you can't order balloons and cake at the same place in the store. I know the sushi gets hyped but imo it was very average. read more

Generally a 4 (meets expectations) or 3 (disappointed). Today a 1 for what has to be a 2-day-old baguette. Sawing through it and microwaving couldn't save it. They'd recently improved their baguette. Not this time. This makes the other insults (now Tops and Hegs have been eliminated) even tougher. Wegman brands are eliminating favorites. But, whatever. Stale Baguette? Inexcusable! read more

I used to come to this location when I lived in the area. Stopped here recently to grab some road trip snacks before heading back to TX. Wegman's is definitely one of those gem grocery stores. The only downside we noticed is that their prices have risen DRASTICALLY... even since being here 2 years ago. Workers I talked to were super friendly and helpful. This place is an overpriced joke. Glad I don't shop here much. Problem is now that hegedorns is gone it is the only grocery store in Webster except Aldis. Problem is Aldis don't carry some items I need. I go to Wegmans now for fresh artichokes. Used to be 2 for 3.00, which isn't cheap but only store I can get them in Webster. It was that price all through the prices going up until I went at Christmas time this year and they are now 1.99 each. A dollar more for 2. So much for their BS TV add, lowering prices LOL LOL. While I had to go for horserasish, I thought i would get bagged coleslaw mix. I actually burst out laughing when I saw it was 4.00 a bag. Are people that stupid or rich? The pharmacy is misinformed lines are always long and very slow at doing anything Easteay the best Pharmacy and for groceries they never carry things I looking for I travel across town to easyway well worth it. They need to redo Holt rd and better pharmacist they know the laws read more

Loved the Wegmans that I shopped in when I was in College like, PA. It was clean & and attractively set up to appeal to their customers. The prepared foods were very appetizing in looks & smell. They had a wide variety to chose from and their bakery made your mouth water. The deli was filled with too many choices to count. The entire staff that I dealt with from stockers to deli staff & cashiers. The store I shopped in 3 days ago in Webster, NY was almost the reverse. In their defense I will say that they were doing some remodeling but to me that did not excuse the fact that the box of baked items I chose were 60% stale. Always so Many choices to choose from but I often find other places like Aldi's cheaper for the same product. It is a good store for finding things would you know exactly what you want like corn beef. But I think they could definitely lower their prices for being such a monopoly in Rochester! read more

Wegmans's is a great grocer. Usually great produce and goodselection of Organic products on shelf and produce areas. The only complaints I have is much of the pricing is too inflated, and they are going over board in having their products in place of other brand names, which may be of better quality. Update 3/5/19 This location is a smaller store compared to most of the others in our community. Which means selection is limited compared to other locations. Other than that it's a Wegmans's, and all else applies! read more

Just a great store! Management is great, employees are friendly and caring, and it just has a warm vibe to it that goes along with the great Wegmans brand. Feels great to have a Wegmans so close to home. The shelves are always well-stocked and it is a very clean store! Only minor complaint is the hot-bar food selection is a little smaller than other Wegmans' but I have it on good authority that is changing soon :)! 5 stars for the Holt Road store! UPDATE: Hot and cold bar's have been moved to the old cafe area and it is wonderful! read more

Little do Wegmans end up disappointing me when it comes to thier quality of food and service. Well....with a few exceptions (I'm referring to YOU Ridge-Culver branch!) but in the long run, most of the Wegmans around Rochester always continue to bring great food to the area. What I like about this one on Holt Rd, is that the service is very friendly and at the most attentive. When I try to help them put the items in my cart they just simply smile and say that they have it covered...but that's alright, they were polite about it. Sigh of fresh relief on the kindness and respect I get here which makes it worth the visit. Can't comment too much on the food selection and items since the selection was pretty much the same but the aisles were a tad congested and felt clustered together. A bit uncomfortable nevertheless. However, as I drink my Wegmans Spring Water while finishing this review, I am happy to say Holt Rd. Wegmans is a welcome store to the Rochester area. read more

Stopped here when I was back in town. When I went looks like it was going through a remodel. I was looking forward to the Asian hot bar, but there was none. Always clean and well organized. I miss the great semi prepped meat entrees you can pop in the oven when pressed for time. I hope wegmans makes its way to Charlotte, NC. One downside is they changed the eclair recipe. I loved the thick fudge like frosting they had. Now it is the thin, hard chocolate I find most places. Please go back to the old recipe! read more

This is my favorite store to shop at. They HAVE the freshest produce by far in the entire area !!! It is very clean and well kept. I always have had good customer service. Their prepared food is AWESOME ! So its a little pricey but not bad - If I don't have to prepare it that is a 10 for me. The products that are all prepared and ready to cook is awesome as well.. Since I am not allowed in store, I can't say much about it. What I do know is that my owner bought a couple of delicious bone in ribeyes and gave me the bones. I would have preferred the steak, but the bone was delicious. My owner said the butcher cut them off a rib roast for him. They were very helpful. I shop at this wegmans all the time, but I don't know why. People are not all that friendly. And the other day my wife bought balloons online, and we brought them to wegmans and they told us they could not inflate them since they were not bought at wegmans, even for a few. Just plain stupid. And the manager in charge of the store said it was a liability issue. Bull. Gonna start looking to shop more at Aldi's, Wal-Mart (down the street), and hope Trade Joe's shows up and puts them out of their misery. Wegmans on holt rd. in Webster is being cheap, I bought California rolls from them since they started selling it, now the rolls are looking smaller and smaller what a shame. but that's not all they don't sell the green juice there at all. They sell it at Penfield and its a few dollars cheaper than Pittsford so that's good. read more

Wegmans' stores, in general, keep replacing regular brand items with their inferior store brand, which I wouldn't use even if they were free. This store, in particular, constantly changes the location of their goods, which defeats the half the purpose of a grocery list. I want to get in and get out, not spend time trying to re-locate my usual shopping items. Wegmans, and most stores in the region, try to card me (I'm 65 years old) when I want to buy beer. Absurd. If a liquor store tried such a tactic they'd be out of business in a month. Too bad N.Y. liquor stores can't sell beer. I solved the problem by buying my beer at the 'Beers of the World' warehouse in Henrietta. BTW - Wegmans' employees are great, except for the suits who make up the rules. read more

They have sold rotten vegetables and fruit on multiple occasions. They returned them, but it was annoying nonetheless. I heard from a neighbor that works at Wegmans sorting fruit, that about one year ago, the management changed their standards so that even some of the fruit and vegetables they reject as rotten, the management overrides their decisions and places it on the shelves anyways. It isn't right or safe to sell rotten vegetables. What would happen if a visually impaired person didn't see that it was rotten and got some deadly illness? But Wegman's doesn't care about that. They prefer to rely on insurance-based reimbursement protections provided by the supplier than to sell great vegetables. Management of Wegmans, it is time to put the customer first. If that doesn't happen, many people will shop elsewhere. read more

2/7 - 7am Instead of the usual Starbucks, I thought I'd try Wegmans new "coffee bar" and get myself a toasty cup of java. I walked in and noticed 3 people in line so that was a good start. The line went through pretty quickly. The lady behind the counter was by herself which surprised me being a Friday morning right when people would come in before work to get their cup of coffee. You would think Wegmans would have at least two people running the coffee bar at this 7am time. But she took my order, large caramel latte supreme and asked if I wanted whipped cream. "No" I said. So I waited about 5 minutes and listened to her talking with the two others who were in front of me. They were Wegmans employees ordering their morning coffee. I've always wondered why the Wegmans employees get priority serving over regular customers. This occurs at various stores, and not just the Holt Road store. Don't get me wrong, I won't switch to Price Rite or anything like that but you never know. So I got my caramel treat and it wasn't really hot, more luke warm. And loaded with caramel. This review is about the deli department.First off I've been going there for almost 13years.I buy just Organic meat.I order some Turkey Breast($10.99 a lb) and some Organic Roast Beef($11.99 a lb)The last few times they have been just cutting it and not layering the meat with wax paper so you go home and it sticks together and falls apart-NOT WHAT I WANT!So this time they did it again and I said something to the guy and then to the manager.So anyways I took it home and the turkey did fall apart again but this time towards the end of the turkey it was turning red as in they must have cut spicy Ham with the red stuff on it.I buy Organic because I don't like "nitrates"This guy could not take the time to wipe off the slicer.The rest is going back on Tuesday after the Holiday.LAZY!The managers should be on top of this or have a slicer just for the Organic.Cross Contaminate...Get your act together. read more

I have been a customer of wegmans for 30 years. In that time I have seen name brands be replaced by wegmans brand. Even though good not the same. I have told my wife numerous times it's time to shop elsewhere. Most recently we had bakery goods and it was extremely poor compared to Hegadorns just down the road. Unfortunately I think wegmans is losing touch with what made it a family name. Great customer service which it excels at does not go hand in hand with poor product offerings. read more
