This Wegmans has a strange layout. Wegmans is a great store, but the items are oddly placed.

Let me first say I was super excited that wegmans was coming to Tysons. However, their customer service is lacking at this location. The cashiers seem to be irritated by the customers. The customer service employees are helpful and cheerful, but the cashiers are dreadful to encounter. The managers could do better by training their employees in customer service techniques. I shop at this wegmans because it's the closest one to my house. Everything from the overwhelming pot smell in the parking garage at times to the Instacart employees running you over and the checkout employees who are irritable. I started to just go back to my local Harris Teeter and only come here when necessary. It's not worth the headache. read more

Well, I didn't think that it could get lower but this Wegmans seems to exceed here. I cannot shop here anymore. They have ham, label it a sale, but don't actually have any of the ham on sale. So they argue none of the ham Is on sale. So why the advertisements that the ham is on sale. Nope, none of the ham is on sale. So why the sign? Don't know. Sigh. This is the second trip in a row where they have overpriced something and not taken responsibility. I really hope Wegmans at the HQ is taking notice. They have overcharged us twice in two trips. Note: watch the register. Discounts don't show at the end. Over weighing produce always happens. Keep a sharp eye on the register and challenge them. They feel that they are not in the wrong but this keeps happening with no remorse. Sigh. I LOVE Wegmans but this store has already forced my wife to not shop here anymore and it pains me to not be able to go anymore. Please...:please fix this. read more

This Wegmans is pretty subpar. The store is out of items we need nearly every time we come in, fruit is frequently moldy (blueberries, sumo oranges, etc.), and the store changes up the locations/aisles for food items without notice or direction. It is really annoying going to a store and having them completely change where things are -- set it up correctly from the start. The store has also closed during normal operating hours before without notice to customers; we only found out once we drove to the store, parked, and tried to go inside. Why didn't they post this on their website or on Google? I have been to other Wegmans that are much better and do not have the problems that this one does. Wanted to like this store, but sadly the one item (okra) I needed they were out of. The parking is a pain in the garage with ticketing system and traffic is not good. I will not return. read more

It's a wonderful store. Staffs are very friendly. They used to have the best French Baguette and seems like they change the Recipe It's awful and tough that one can use it as a weapon to hit someone on head! It's awful!!! I grew up in western NY and have been a Wegmans customer for 30 years. Fairfax county implemented a tax on single-use bags in 2022, but this does NOT apply to paper bags. Wegmans is using this unrelated new law to charge their own fee for paper bags which is totally UNRELATED to the county's new law. According to their own web site, they admit it has nothing to do with the law and it's just a money grab so that they can supposedly donate that money THAT YOU PAY, which of course is both a huge public relations and tax benefit for this greedy corporation. They have made enough money off me in my life that I don't need to pay for their PR and tax breaks. I use re-usable bags when able but I have a large family and some items it is not a good idea to use my cloth bags (salmonella on chicken, leaking meat, etc.), so I am forced spending another few dollars a week to help Wegmans look like a hero. Their stuff is not cheap and they can afford to give me a paper bag for the $150 dollars I just spent. Meanwhile, every other premium grocer in N. Virginia (Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, MOMs, Fresh Market) has no such fee for paper bags. I can't imagine why anyone would go to Wegmans and pay for the privilege of something to hold their purchase in. What's next Wegmans? - a fee to use the restroom, a cart rental fee, admission fees??? read more

Would have gotten four or five stars except that the store is too small, lacks the number of items in stock that you see at the Fairfax location, and the parking lot access is VERY difficult and hard to maneuver in for larger vehicles. If possible, DEFINITELY bring a compact vehicle if you intend to park in the garage, particularly on the tight winding up/down ramps entering and exiting the garage. Also, parking should be free, like at Fairfax, WITHOUT having to fool around with ticket-stubs and dispensing-machines, which are a PITA. This store refuses to carry bulk-food, in the dispensers, like at Fairfax because of the COV-ID excuse, which doesn't hold water since, pandemic or not, there are no problems at Fairfax stocking or selling those items. Inside, the sandwich shop is superb....I highly recommend it. The general staff, though, out on the floor, doesn't seem to have the knowledge that the staff at Fairfax does....ask them a question where something is, and some of them either can't understand English or don't know where it is. At Fairfax, the customer-assistance is superb. Unless you HAVE to go to this location, or you live close by, and/or maybe work there at Tysons in one of those many offices, save yourselves some trouble and use the Fairfax location. You'll get better service, people who understand English, and a better selection of items. But you WILL get a good sandwich (or wrap) at either location. read more

I love love the new Wegmans. They have free two hour parking with a Wegmans parking validation and I always manage to get a close spot near the entrance. Their produce is always fresh and it amazes me that they have produce that you can't find at other local grocery stores. Some things are relatively more expensive but quality is always good. I especially love their bakery section. It's a whole area of the store and you can find all kinds of carbs :) Also, I don't know if it's a new things because of the pandemic, but they have an entire area dedicated to meals to go. The food is already prepackaged and ready to eat- everything from chicken parmesan to quesadillas. I even tried their sushi (I'm usually scared to try from other grocery stores) and the fish was very fresh. I especially that you can buy your local grocery items here as well as Wegmans branded items. Don't forget to download their app for the best deals and coupons. read more

I've visited this new store for a second time. The store is similar to other Wegmans in the area but is smaller. Their produce, deli, meat, and seafood offerings are excellent. They also have a wide variety of their branded products. We particularly like their specialty sauces, beans, and tomato sauces. They have prepared take out food but it is not serve yourself as it was in other stores prior to COVID. Customers have to tell staff what selections to add to dishes (e.g., salad bar). Parking is a bit difficult. There is an underground garage. Parking is free for one hour but parking tickets can be validated in the store for longer periods. They have an app that lets you make a list and shop according to items' location in the store. The app can also be used to locate items in the store. Another app can be used to scan items as you shop and calculate the total cost. You can check out quickly at the self-service check out using the scan app. The apps work in all stores. I saw several shoppers leaving with toilet paper and paper towels. The store has a limit of one per customer; we may be in for shortages. read more

Is it me, or is the sushi at this Wegman's not as fresh as the Fairfax and Sterling locations? I liken the sushi here to the quality of Harris Teeter, which is really sad given that I remember one year Wegmans in Fairfax had a Japanese Fish Market festival and brought in all these exotic types of fish (yes, to Japanese bluefin tuna and toro Hokkaido uni) with Japanese speaking people (coming from I don't know where!) all lined up the wazoo. (I didn't even know that many Japanese lived in the DMV! Sadly, have not seen the same festival there since). Anyhoo, the sushi is pretty sad here by typical Wegman's standards. read more

Breakfast sandwich was supposed to be fresh. They took one and microwaved it to the point where the English muffin was like leather.

Very disappointed in the prepared food offerings. Bakery items were lacking and too close to "Sell By" date. Prefer the Fairfax location but thought it was worth checking out this new Wegmans. read more

Great food selection. Keep an eye on any cashier ringing up your purchase. Went there today and came home to find out they had fraudulently charged me for not only the wrong item, but significantly more money than the item I had purchased. read more

The parking garage and store layout is tight. Product variety is similar to other local locations but more condensed. Large wine selection. Weekend shopping was very crowded. Hard to walk through or push a shopping cart. Surprised food was exposed on open bakery shelves for self service while other grocers have it packaged. Customers were excited as if they have not been to a nearby Wegmans before. Prices were generally reasonable and high on others. Glad to have another grocery option in the area but will utilize online ordering for future purchases. read more

My wife placed an order online for curbside pickup. We are in our 70s. When we arrived, there was no cell service for calling the phone number posted for curbside pick up. This forced one of us to go inside to alert employees we were on premises at a designated parking spot. She was told there was some issue with cell service. That being the case Wegmans should advertise and offer curbside since the Tysons location is unable to truly offer it. This happened on December 8, 2020 in the afternoon. My advice to curbsiders is avoid this new Wegmans. Also, you now have to get a parking garage ticket and visibility exiting the garage is very poor, a condition the County should not have permitted. This is not to claim Wegmans is a poor super market chain. It's a very good one with a reputation for excellence. However, I feel we are the victims of age discrimination since Wegmans permits curbside orders, but cannot actually provide curbside service. read more

I find the cashiers not friendly. Space is tight. the cashiers won't place your groceries in your cart. So you basically end up trying to hurry and put all your groceries in your cart while the cashier rings up the next customer. This doesn't happen at Safeway read more

We love going to Wegmans of Tysons Corner. We love their food especially when Fitzgerald prepares it. Juan is also great and very helpful. Juan was able to show us around all food areas -Very kind. read more

UPDATE: I went back to this Wegman's this morning and my experience was much, much better than my previous visit. The secret is PLANNING. If you set up the shopping list on the app first, chances are that your frustration will be significantly reduced. Please note that I did not say "eliminated." The app will show items as available (today, it was Cortland apples and celebration ham) when they aren't in stock, and other items that aren't on the app are on the shelves in the store. Today, it was Ayinger Pils, brewed in Bavaria just south of Munich. This was an unexpected surprise because Ayinger is second only to Würzburger Hofbräu as my favorite German beer (when I was stationed in Germany, I lived only a short distance from the Würzburger brewery, so maybe I'm biased). Here's what I like about this Wegman's: *Convenience - it's 15 minutes from my house. *Convenience - This Wegman's is just over a block from the McLean Metro Station. If we ever get back to using Metro like we did previously, this is super convenient to pick up something on the way to work or on the way home. *The bakery - I've had a problem with other Wegman's that had items listed on the app for a certain location only to find out they aren't or were never in stock when I got there. This Wegman's actually has a variety of croissants and apple fritters, unlike other stores. *The gourmet mecca - this is exactly like the other stores, and closer, too. The same high-quality fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats, etc., that are Wegman's hallmarks are all here, too. *The wine selection is comprehensive, especially for a store this size. *The scan app makes shopping and checkout very convenient. I brought four reusable bags with me for what I had on my list, which was actually more than I needed, even with some "targets of opportunity" that I hadn't thought to put on the original list. Just be sure to validate your parking before you leave the store. I'll be visiting this store a little more frequently. read more

I heard about this location opening up a couple of days ago and decided to take a trip with my sisters to see if it's worth checking it out. I must say it exceeded my expectations! This Wegmans location was extremely spacious and super clean. They had everything you could think of at reasonable prices! My sisters along with myself were able to find everything on our list plus more. Their was an abundance of staff who all very eager and willing to help if we had any questions. Every member of the team there was extremely knowledgeable about products and where everything was! Everything was fresh and the prepared food was absolutely tasty! The lines weren't long and they validate your parking for 2 hours! Overall an amazing shopping and I will definitely be back as a repeat customer! read more
