The grocery staff on the isles were very helpful. The shelves had missing item's; Wegmans' brand of soups. There was a long wait time of over 10 minutes. I observed and others observed a front end staff woman yelling with her loud voice at an elderly Caucasian woman who asked her to stop and lower her voice. The woman was covering her ears. The Wegmans employee seem to get louder and tried to hurry the elderly woman out. The customer asked for a manager. This was very sad to see. read more

Yasssss! A grocery store that's open until 12midnight everyday. Finally something outside of Whole Foods in the area. All of the restaurants that were inside Whole Foods have closed down. Even the juice bar and the hot food section isn't the same. This is where Wegmans will make up for Whole Food losses. This Wegmans has several mini restaurants located from Asian, Pizza, Sandwiches, Salad, Soup, Hamburgers, Coffee, Smoothies, Milk Shakes and the list goes on. Eating area with free WiFi (great for remote workers who want to get out for a few hours besides sitting at home). There are people going around to ensure tables are sanitized after every use. The main grocery store items is well-packed and there is well beyond a lot of variety, as opposed to Whole Foods. And there is always weekly specials and coupons, so you'll save more money here. Only con, I have is the parking area. It's pretty tight and congested. read more

Love that there is a Wegmans closer to DC! This one opened TODAY during COVID-19, which is a feat in and of itself! There were a ton of other Wegmans lovers roaming the aisles to catch a glimpse of the latest and greatest grocery store in the DMV! The underground parking is easy to spot, nice and clean (for now), but has a bit of a confusing layout. 3/7/21 Last time I was here, the store was celebrating it opening. This store was very busy and very crowded during these Coronavirus times. As much food and household items were stocked, they were flying of the shelves just as quickly. Staff members were wearing bright colored shirts. Only some of the managers were wearing black shirts during the summer time. Today is the opposite of what I saw the staff members wearing. Today was mostly black Wegmans polo shirts. If someone asked last year if the shirts and sweaters came on black, the answer is now a a definite yes. The staff members we ran onto for help were informative and helpful. The ambience in the store gave off a warm welcoming feeling. Something that also gave off a warm welcoming feeling are the soft batch oatmeal raisin cookies from the bakery. As I stood there looking at them, I heard an employee say she loves those cookies, but they would send her in to a diabetic frenzy. Yes, i would have to agree with her from my perspective too, but it sucks. Still the smell of the Bakery and seeing the pecan pie made me even hungrier. This is a decent store. One thing I love about Wegmans, is they've never laid off an employee for economic reasons. Also they empower their folks, to make any customer service decisions. That is huge. I think this has a large bearing on why their stores are so good. This one is in a busy area. Tyson's is definitely a urban area, with a lot of car traffic. I do like this location. Yet I don't love it, due to the traffic congestion. It's not easy in or out of here. I understand people like this trendy area, but I'm not so passionate. 12/01/2022 - 'Wegmans to go' delivery order failed me and my family for the third time in 2022 - ordered from them and an hour later they called me to say they didn't have the inventory I ordered. Long wait on the phone to get refunded and no extra credit for their screwup. I always love going to Wegmans. This location is relatively new. However they do not do one thing compared to the other Wegmans in the DMV which is clean their tables. They have a large dining area and on numerous occasions I have sat there for hours and not once have I ever seen an employee wipe down or clean a table. There is hand sanitizer for people to use for their hands but nothing for us to wipe down the tables. I find this very shocking during COVID times and really hope that they change this immediately. Or at least leave out Lysol wipes for us to clean the tables. read more

This is the only grocery store I go to for consistently good, fresh sashimi. Even though the service is a little slow and understaffed, it's worth visiting just for this product. The takeout seating is also conveniently located near the entrance, and if you're fast enough, you can eat without paying for parking. It's a city Wegmans so the parking situation is expected- however I've never had an issue finding parking even on busy weekends. I'm sad that their brown paper bags don't have handles- it makes it impossible to carry up groceries when living in an apartment. Parking is free if you don't shop for 2+ hours. I've never really had an issue finding things, things are not usually out unless you go very late. I liked this store a lot and was super excited for the new location, however, there was a blue beetle in a tripled washed and ready to use kale bag! It is unbelievable, people feed their kids with these vegetables and we believe in Wegmans' brand and the quality of it but apparently There is no control. If you want to shop for grocery about dinner time and have a drink after in the cosy cafeteria with food of your choice(pizza,sushi,sandwiches),then this is your store. I like their cafeteria for convenience and their ready food is solid,it's not gourmet experience,but for grocery store this is above average quality. Poultry selection is much better than everywhere around,but fish department lately is understaffed. My greatest complaint is about produce section.It's not always fresh and after 6 pm they just stop to replenish finished products. Also,very odd layout and things are hard to navigate. This IS WEGMANS. How can I give it less than 5 stars. ITS WEGMANS, and its less than a mile from my house! I have been waiting YEARS, ever since word got out that Wegmans was coming to the Tysons area. Wegmans in Sterling is PERFECT. the one in Fairfax is close to perfect and this one, its not perfect but then again if you go in knowing what your going to find, and not find, and plan your shopping experience around what they have, its great. Pro's. Its less than a mile away. HIP HIP HOORAY!! For the size of it, the layout is good, not great, has some faults, but still a pro The people who work here are what you would expect from Wegmans, they are so nice and helpful. Unlike Safeway. BTW. RIP Safeway on Anderson. YOU ARE DEAD TO ME. The safe way has a decent variety and not a bad store, but once you go inside you have to deal with the employees and that sucks the life out of anything positive this store may have going for it. The pre-made and to go food section is great. For the size of this location they have more here than even the Sterling location. There probably are many more pro's but lets get to the not so great. The layout is confusing. Just when you think you got them hang of it, your lost, and you need a map or breadcrumbs to find what your looking for. Finding things such as baking needs, or pastas, or soup or anything like that is hard. Its like hidden between the wine section and toiletry, and in a way that its not easy to find. Frustrating actually. Then when you find the section, they have 95% Wegmans brands and then a token brand name so you cant cant say they don't have brand name items. Pastas, most of the pasta and sauces are Wegmans brands, which hey, they are very good, but when you have kids who want specific things or specific types of food, there are times I cant find things here. The wine section, for the size of the store, is WAY TOO BIG. It takes up 15-20% of the store I think and for a store as small has this, its too big. Which leads to another negative I will get to soon. The deli. The Deli is all high price luxury items, if you want to get standard cold cuts, they have lil bags that are pre-sliced and you cant get what you want and the amount you want a lot of times. This leads me to my biggest problem with this Wegmans, It goes in toe with the way too big wine section, the Elite deli... the butcher area of the meat case. To show you how much this store focuses too much on high price, and high dollar things... If you have a hankering for a ONE HUNDRED AND SIXTY DOLLAR A POUND Wagu A5 steak. THIS IS YOUR PLACE. Come on, ok its cool they have it. But it falls in line with you want standard beef and deli options, go someplace other than Wegmans. This Wegmans opened during the pandemic and I steered clear of it during the first few months as I knew it would be beyond crazy, yet I decided to pop in today late afternoon since I needed dinner for the evening. The parking garage is underground since this is right in the heart of the Capital One Center in Tysons and it's a little wonky, but that's not Wegmans fault (plus it makes for a fun "adventure"). Upon taking the escalator into the store it was like I began to hear harps as I approached the top entrance .... I was in HEAVEN! I didn't realize just how much I missed shopping at Wegmans until that exact moment .... And I was soooo happy to be back! This store is just like all Wegmans... well kept / put together, staffed with the friendliest and most helpful folks and filled with endless items that you want to purchase or envision yourself eating on the spot because they're just that delicious looking and sounding LOL! I grabbed an iced coffee from their coffee bar which was BOMB and picked up a steamed shrimp platter and cotton candy grapes for my evening meal (no judgment please). I came in here for the first time and what a great it was! The Asian food bar aha's always been a favorite of mine, but much to my shifting the Asian bar was closed. , It was 8pm. Instead, A settled on the regular fast food section, and they appeared to be very. Used. I went for the American classic burger which was priced at $10 and straight-out french fries for $3. cd on the fountain drink, and I walked away with a combo meal for $15.00. I know that inflation is everywhere, but I didn't realize that higher-end fast food had become so expensive just yet. The other item that I was hoping to find would have been located in the fruit section and it's a deliciius South American fruit called Cherimoya. Came to this store the first Saturday after they are open. Social distancing looks encouraged but still many people in the store, but the store is big enough it's possible to distant yourself. This store is smaller in comparison to the other Wegmans in northern Virginia. The isles feels tighter and each department is a smaller version but it still seems to have everything you would typically find at a Wegmans. This review is for the bakery only. I would give 2 out of 5 stars for operations/reliability and 4.5 out of 5 stars for the food itself. Not sure if I will go back given the multitude of bakery options I have. I ordered a sheet cake, and placed the order online a week ahead. When I got to the store, they did not have the cake ready. Apparently they forgot about it because someone forgot to print the order that morning. Fortunately, they were able to finish the cake in about 15 minutes, even with the fresh fruit filling, so that was pretty efficient. I am still frustrated because 1) the failure to print an order suggests that there is a vulnerability in their protocol/system to potential human error that could be prevented if they put some effort into redesigning their system, and they don't seem to be trying to improve the system because they didn't even send a survey afterwards to ask for feedback about my experience, and 2) they didn't offer a discount, which I think they should have, for the inconvenience. The cake itself (gold cake with fruit filling which is an extra $12 and whipped cream icing) was great--very fresh. The total was $40 for a quarter sheet cake. I would have preferred for the icing to be less sweet, though. read more

Whole Foods is better, and if you have prime discounts almost every time if you get at least five or six items.you get at least a small discount. They do not honor their prices if they make a mistake.
