Great Northern Wegmans Pharmacy on Route 31really did amazing tonight when I came in to pick up some prescriptions for a cold that has kept me down for 3 weeks! Susan the pharmacist worked on getting me an enhancer covered by my plan when albuterol was not covered by my insurance. Nancy was exceptional at getting me rung up and asking Susan to work her magic. Both helped me get a cough suppressant as I have woken up coughing the last 2 weeks, not sleeping and not having the skip in my step as usual. They were efficient, caring and concerned and they are helping me on the road to more sleep and energy. Working in a middle school, the energy is needed! read more

Store is always clean, nice variety of items, friendly check out staff. However, I have noticed lately their produce isn't very fresh. Red onion turning black in the middle, bag of their clementine oranges were beginning to turn moldy. This isn't the first time I have bought produce there that was not very fresh. read more

I guess Wegmans is for the upper crust, what with all their high prices on everything. Perhaps a bit o' gold is inserted in their bakery items. Average in every way, I guess that's not an awful thing, but obviously it's not great. CNY'ers love their Wegmans and while I've been to a couple of their stores in NJ, this was my first visit to a store in their homeland. The place was typically crowded for a Sunday, a little hectic but manageable. Parking lot is a breeze if you've ever been to a Jersey parking lot from cherry hill to ramsey. I took a star away for their display of dark dark barely green avocados that nobody would want to buy. Absolutely disgusting. Other than that, we had a question about the location of tortillas and the guy told us where they were! Mind=blown. They also don't sell freihofer corn toasties. Major disappointment. Didn't see the cinnamon mini (non super softer) donuts either. As an added convenience, a lady wanted our cart as we filled my sister's mom mobile with the bounty. So no need to find a cart corral or be a jerk and leave the cart out in the open like a jerk. Who does that? If you're in the area, you surely go to wegman's already. It beats Tops "friendly market" by a mile and price chopper is hit & miss. However, they do carry freihofer donuts and maybe even elusive corn toasties! read more

I am usually that guy who'd go back and forth consistently with people about Wegmans standing superior to all grocery stores. Rarely does Wegmans fall short in the area of food, but today was that day. While visiting home, I stopped by this local Wegmans for a classic tuna sub. The ordering line for the subs was pretty long and customers stood there with frustration. Around 6 workers behind the sub counter and only one was serving the line. I ended up waiting 25 minutes to place my order and when I did, I was informed that they don't have tuna. Not a sign saying they were out, no verbal announcement to the 15+ people in the line. I was highly annoyed and really felt like this sub shop could've done much better in 1) balancing the work better amongst staff (pre-orders and immediate ordering) 2) announcing that you're out of a certain protein before a customer comes to the counter after waiting almost 30 minutes 3) better preparation for a busy day like Christmas Eve. I will save my review of the dry and salty food I ended up getting from the Asian food bar. read more

One could say I grew up at this Wegmans. I spent most of my formative years right here at this Wegmans. In a way I learned every life lesson I needed to while physically inside this store. Anyway, I got the "Gino" sub from this Wegmans today and it was quite literally out of this world. Anything you could want out of a sub. For those of you who haven't had the secret menu item, known as the "Gino". It is a sesame roll with chicken tenders, provolone, Sriracha mayo, lettuce, tomato, onion, and sweet peppers. You might be wondering, "What in the heck is a Sriracha mayo?". It is pretty good, I think normal mayo by itself is a waste of ingredients, but once you get some Sriracha in there, then it's a nice way to spend the day. I mean I love the Danny's with Everything Bread! I got the combo with Chicken Noodle Soup, and it was all great. Bread was fresh and sub was well filled as you would expect at a Wegmans. I didn't grocery shop, but I did walk around and look at things. Its not one of the bigger Wegmans that they have been building in other areas, but it had everything you could need. read more

I am a die hard Wegmans fan. When I'm back in NC I drive 3+ hours for a "Wegmans Run" every few months. Maybe I've become accustomed to the newer store models, though I still don't think they are as charming as some local CNY Wegmans, this store needs some love. Compared to other Wegmans in the area this one is nothing special. Smallest organic section that I've seen and there's no trail mix bar. Last night I came in and the workers were closing down the salad bar at 7:45 when it is supposed to stay open until 8. That's not the part that bothered me though; I was most irritated at the fact that the workers were using cleaning products to spray down the salad bar while there was still food out. Can you say health hazard? I thought I was just seeing things so I stepped in for a closer look and the workers as I thought were spraying cleaning solution onto the glass which was getting all over the food. Last time I ever use the salad bar at this location... The vibe in this location is that of any other ordinary grocery store. Just very blah. read more

I have always had a good experience here. I recently ordered a sub tray for the party was a bit unsure of the options, the women came around the counter and offered to sit at a table with me to discuss options and make suggestions. Talk about awesome customer service!? I ordered a cake and they were super friendly and helpful. You never have to wait in line very long and they often have cashiers calling you over to their line which is empty. I have also dealt with the pharmacy and they have the same great customer service. I was in from out of town and needed something filled, they were super helpful and answered all my questions. This place is awesome! read more

I went to the Wegmans Market Place for dinner (6pm Tuesday) and it was disgusting. The Asian food was old and dried out. Only two thirds of the steam table was filled with a pathetic selection. I was completely shocked, since it was dinner time. I think everyone has always come to expect fresh, high quality food at Wegmans. Especially at $8.99/lb.! What is going on? Danny would be compleatly appauled, especially with Wegmans' 100th Anniversary right around the corner! I hope he comes to the Route 31 location and rips the Market Place a new one. I would have gotten fresher food, at a far better price, at any fast food burger place! After today's experience, I am actually concerned about the food safety at Wegmans. I prefer the Wegmans on 57 at John Glen Blvd to this one. For some reasons this one seems darker and less inviting. Having said that I dont want you to get me wrong...this store beats any local Tops or PriceChopper for selection, freshness and price. I did an item to item comparison with a handfull of my regular buys between Tops in Bville and Wegmans and was really surprised by how much more expensive it is to shop at Top's. Also I am not coupon clipper so maybe if I was Top's would be a closer competitor price wise but still when it comes to selection and freshness...nobody even comes close to Wegmans! read more

This is probably the worst store I've ever been in. I walked in and went toward the produce isle at around 3 AM and I was told by the guy cleaning the floor I needed to leave. I questioned him and he said it's because I looked like a "furry pedophile". I was appalled and demanded to speak to a manager. Eventually an older lady came out (I guess she was the manager) and I was shocked at what she said to me. Instead of doing what any logical person would do and question their employee, she turned to me and said "your kind isn't welcome here faggot". I was shocked, humiliated, and defeated. I always come to this supermarket when I'm staying at the nearby hotels on Route 31. The selection of precooked foods and made-to-order subs are good enough that I don't need to eat out at restaurants. This place even has a buffet table serving Chinese food. Preboxed sushi and other foods could be found nearby. Sometimes, I would buy the microwaveble frozen meal bags and Wegmans even has their own version of it. read more

Over the top an awesome Wegmans. I got my Upstate Farms vanilla cappuccino drink. I am drooling now thinking of it. Store was well decorated, huge parking lot, it feels like another world going in there. Got some awesome bakery goodies little cookies and muffins for the road. I love Wegmans. We need them all over this country. I smuggle Wegmans sauce from Upstate NY to the west coast they have good pasta sauces and such a selection of fine authentic Italian pastas. We Shop there regularly but as most of you know they keep shrinking the size of their product sizes????? I really feel ripped off. Just now they have down sized their Wegman's brand coffee from a 33 oz (2lb 1oz) to 25.4 oz. that is a big difference (that is 25% or one quarter less product. It bothers me more than anything that I have to run out of coffee more often. 1st they shrink the size, then they raise the price??? They have done this with other canned good also???? Isn't Wegman's making enough money yet??? Our paycheck is not increasing 25%. read more

Why why does Wegmans package their meat in LARGE PACKAGES to get a lower price??? So many times I pick up a package of chuck roast (2roasts enclosed) for say $24.00, then put it back because of the high price. I move to single piece of chuck and the price difference is SO much more PER POUND, I end up putting that one back to!!!! Come on----not all of your customers care to buy large quantities of meat to save money! I'm so angry. When in the Baldwinsville, NY Area, we always stop at the local Wegman's grocery store to pick up food for the trip. They have super fresh produce and a nice selection of many other items. There is a pharmacy on site with a nice pharmacist, Mr. Sherwood whom is always very friendly and accommodating. We like this place and enjoy our grocery shopping here. read more

Moved here about a month ago and family and friends always told us to go to the one on 57; I was in a rush and this one is closer so I ran in to grab a few items. I couldn't find SPAM since it's not something we usually buy- and after walking around aimlessly I finally found an associate who was stocking shelves! I asked the gentleman where I would be able to find SPAM to be met with the most confused look as if I were speaking a foreign language. I told him it was canned meat- and he directed me to the meat section. :( I told him that I somehow doubted it would be there because it's almost fake canned meat- he had to search for another associate for help. My quick run in turned into a lot longer than I had hoped. I know SPAM isn't something everyone is looking for; but I think that 57 offers a lot more associates to help you and is just around than this Wegmans. Associates at the other one also tell you exactly where the product is ie "aisle 10 left hand side will be eye level next to whatever" or they would walk you to the product. Still it's Wegmans so I can't give it a lower rating than 4! read more
