This review is for Wegmans' curbside pickup and delivery. Over the past couple of years, I have ordered online via Wegmans' website, and have either done curbside pickup or delivery. Wegmans uses Instacart for these services. Wegmans has a lot of its own products, most of which are very good. The breads are outstanding. Unfortunately, the produce is unpredictable, and I have received many different fruits and vegetables that were very poor quality and VERY expensive. I have received heads of lettuce that cost $3.50 and didn't even have enough leaves for 1 salad, or were old and brown. I received a cantaloupe that was totally rotted, and cucumbers and tomatoes with mold. Often, the items I order are out of stock. I have learned that you should call the store before ordering items that you really want or need. The worst part of using Wegmans online is Instacart. There are so many problems with Instacart, that I have decided to stop using any company that is associated with it. Some Instacart shoppers have delivered orders that contained none of what I ordered, and it was obvious that they never actually read the order, or maybe don't know how to read! When I have had problems with orders, such as produce being bad, Instacart has given me a hard time with getting refunds. So, while there are some good products at Wegmans, I can't continue ordering from them due to my utter disgust with Instacart. read more

It's really 3 and 3/4 stars. Sometimes they are out of stock of certain items. And while there are stock people around and they do go out of their way to find what you're looking for, sometimes it's just not there. So almost really good, but not quite. Prices are mostly reasonable if you know how to shop. Lower than Queens anyway lol. Except wings are $1.40 each. That's crazy. But hubby loves the Nashville hot. THANK YOU for having beef on weck!!! The best sandwich ever and we miss it since loving them from our college days in Brockport and Rochester. Brooklyn Wegmans does not carry them. Love the big parking lot. Always spots available. My first experience with Wegmans was with my aunt in Rochester, NY at their store on Main St, many decades ago & back in 2014 at their Flagship store also in Rochester, NY but in the burbs now. So I was very excited to hear Wegmans was opening in Westchester, waited with great anticipation. About two weeks ago I manage to head to Harrison and pay a visit. There were still police along the drive to the store and in the parking lot. In the usual Wegmans way there were service reps, all over, very courteous - not disappointed here. All kiosk areas were fully staffed. I did have a small shopping list Sarrano ham, Rosmary ham, Salami, Fourme d'Ambert (mild french blue cheese), Barbar 1833 English Cheddar, Brillant-Savarin triple cream brie and a local cheese Hoofprint Cheese Companys' aged raw milk cheese Augie. I figured Wegmans would have the Hoofprint in their 'Local Cheese' section. I took a few minutes to orient my self. I headed to the deli area first. There was what appeared to be a mother and daughter being served and I was asked immediately 'may I help you' quarter pound Rosemary ham - 'we don't have it in stock but we will be carrying it'. They did have the Serrano but way more then what I was used to paying - but ok. I did notice they had uncured hams & salamis and Iberico ham (didn't see the price) - ordered uncured Italian ham, uncured Genoa salami, also a French salami, Porchetta - done. Next headed to the cheese section. Ok need Fourme - looked all over finally asked someone behind the counter - 'no we don't carry it' how about Barber 1833 - 'no, and your not the only one that asked' was the response , Hoofprint...goat - 'no', Brillant-Savarin - yes & they had the aged and the fresh versions. I got the fresh version both were the same price. What I found useful is that Wegmans had labeled some of the cheeses 'raw milk cheeses' - nice. Headed to the bakery got a baguette and Wegmans sub rolls. Check out was breeze. All available cashiers would stand in front of their respective register and hail the next customer - cool. Instead of hailing a cab, they hail customers. Let's just say we did enjoy the cold cuts and the cheeses. We were not impressed with the baguette or the sub rolls. The rolls were pasty even after being toasted in the oven - overall somewhat disappointed. They do have a lot of items that most supermarkets do not carry but don't expect to see all that you're looking for. You may still have to visit your local specialty store. Looked through the produce department for fresh mushrooms - they had the usual - white, shiitake, oyster, crimini...no chanterelles, morels...even HMart has a better selection of mushrooms. I will have to drive to New Jersey to get my 'fresh' flash frozen porcini. They do have what appears to be a good meat, fish, prepared foods but expect to pay top $$$$. I've been there a total of two times now - not sure it's worth the drive. Maybe just maybe or if I'm in the area I will stop by for the uncured meats and some of the cheeses but otherwise nin, nyet read more

My first introduction to Wegmans was when one of our daughters took us to one of their stores in Ithaca,New York in the middle of the night. It was possibly the most intoxicating supermarket experience I ever had at 1am in the morning. Naturally, when I read in the local newspapers that a Wegmans supermarket would be opening in Harrison, I was excited. The fact that this news was first reported in 2016 and first an old office building would have to be demolished and all kinds of permits would have to be approved, they finally opened their 121,000 square foot supermarket in the early part of August! They were supposed to open in June but due to the Coronavirus, their grand opening was delayed. I held off going for a few weeks until I felt the crowds would subside and because of my concerns about social distancing . However to my delight, while the parking lot looked pretty full, the store is so gigantic that I felt like we had entire aisles to ourselves. Everyone was wearing masks plus they had all kinds of sanitizing " stations" throughout their store. I felt very safe and relaxed while we checked out their fabulous produce area. They have everything you could dream about in a supermarket. A phenomenal bread bakery, a huge beer and wine section as well as all kinds of prepared foods from pizza to poke! I'm Looking forward to returning soon! As I was leaving one of the Wegman customer service staff members told me that Monday's and Tuesday's are their " quietest " shopping days! Brand new store with plenty of parking. Beware of the roundabouts in the front. Truly a beautiful store. Wegman's is definitely more upscale and should not be treated as a ShopRite or a Stop & Shop. Therefore, this place can be considered pricey. I was very impressed with the food court. They have a burger stand, coffee shop, pizzeria, sandwich store, and more. In terms of groceries they offer an extensive selection. I was very impressed with the beer aisle, they have any craft beer you could want.The best way I can describe this place is it is like a fusion of Whole Foods and DeCicco's & Sons. Definitely a great place to stop by for a quick bite during lunch. They also have great gourmet items too. As I said, don't expect ShopRite prices. First impressions were, WOW what a super supermarket. Unlike many other specialty stores this one has everything you would need to purchase for your "weekly" shopping. That is, if you have deep pockets. Upon first glance it's a bit overwhelming. I think the major draw is going to be the novelty and then the prepared foods, and bakery. I was excited to see all the different sushi and dumplings but after trying the sushi twice I was not impressed. Both times the package indicated the sushi had been packed that day. On both occasions the fish had a "fishy" taste, which was not appetizing and a turn off. There are more than several stations where you can buy hot food and other displays where it's prepacked in the refrigerator sections. Again, not cheap by any means. The cold cuts are their own brand. Both the ham and turkey had strong flavors to them unlike Boars head which are our favorites. They have a great cheese and chaucterie area if you want to splurge. While the baked items looked great, those also were pricey, so I did not buy. I did buy the pretzel and Portuguese rolls both were fresh and tasty. The have a food type court where you can eat. I saw a burger, salad and sub shop where you order to take out or eat in. The staff is friendly and there are sure a lot of them at least for now walking around the store to assist you. There are plenty of cash registers and the store is designed well for a crowd to get around easily. Produce, meats, fish have much higher prices than a Shoprite or Stop & Shop. Since Stew Leonards is much closer to my home when I want prepared foods or a specialty item I would probably chose them over Wegmans. read more

First time to visit our local Wegmans and its not a disappointment. The price is pretty comparable to my local and usual grocery store HMart. Wegman is known for their quality food, clean grocery department, and courteous staffs. My daughter was craving for pizza and their pizza is kinda decent for its quality and price. For the past few weeks I've been using home delivery from Whole Foods/Amazon and its kinda impressive but a bit pricey. I've been missing a bit the experience of walking on the grocery aisle, checking what's new and I also miss the smell of good food, fresh flowers/plants and produce of the marketplace. We don't do our usual grocery shopping here. But we love to come here for lunch on the weekends with our toddler, and there are lots of other families with small kids eating here as well! There's something about the food court here that somehow makes my kiddo sit for nearly 30 minutes and eat his food without a peep. I don't know what voodoo magic it is, but I'm here for it!!! Having lived in Syracuse for 4 years I shopped at the Dewitt location weekly. Since moving to CT 4 years ago there's only one grocery store we use. It's a small local, non chain great store. My wife and I shopped at the Montvale, New Jersey location several times because for a while that was the closest one to New Haven. Someone recently informed us that a newer one opened in Harrison, New York in August 2020. I guess we were too preoccupied with the pandemic to notice. Anyway, my wife, son and I took a ride to the newer location yesterday. It was a beautiful location that was even larger than the Montvale location (121,000 square feet to be exact). While Wegmans carries products from a variety of manufacturers, their own brand of products seems to trump them all. Some highlights of the Wegmans products that we purchased were their pastas, hummus, whipped cream cheese, artisanal cheeses, Manhattan-style bagels, challah bread, Irish soda bread, fish, flavored seltzers, etc. We were impressed with their large selection of Kosher for Passover products and purchased a container of assorted hamentaschen for the upcoming Jewish festival of Purim. The Harrison store doesn't have an adjoining wine/liquor store (due to New York state laws) but they did have an impressive craft beer selection. Our son enjoyed riding around in a car shopping cart, as well as watching the model train that rides around the store. We had an excellent shopping experience at the Harrison Wegmans and we look forward to when Connecticut gets their own location in Norwalk. read more

Yes, it's a bit more expensive than ShopRite. Yes, it's a bit further away than your local place. Yes, it's almost as pricey as Whole Foods. But I love how easy it is to find high quality stuff at Wegmans. Especially the meat - not only do you have options from the usual fare to the pasture raised and grass fed but you get everything packaged air tight and freezer ready! That means (1) you stuff will last much longer before you need to freeze it and (2) when you want it freeze it there is no need to put it in a freezer bag! Almost everything has an organic option and if you're not looking for that, the non organic options are very good too! I just wish they had a store brand non-corn-syrup cola. read more

This Wegmans reminded me of the Whole Foods near Princeton, NJ. It's huge and beautiful. When we came in, we were greeted by recorded barnyard sounds in the fresh produce section. To help feed a group of 11, we spent about $150 and came home with items like a six-pack of IPA, a 12oz bag of coffee beans from a famous West Coast producer and a pack of "orange poppers" (which were very small tomatoes). I found the personnel to be very friendly and the 4-minute wait for a cashier to be completely tolerable. Everything was airbrushed, and I did say that the place was beautiful. Our coming here involved a fairly onerous 15-minute drive in each direction. In fact, we had to engage in interstate commerce to shop at this store because we were staying in Connecticut. Although there were plenty of other name-brand supermarkets closer in to our place, Wegmans was head and shoulders better than the competition. read more

This place is amazing. Really nice, intelligent staff. Today I asked some man in a yellow shirt where the pine nuts were. Within a half second he told me exactly which aisle, letter and number. Then I asked a woman with blue shirt (and maybe a nose ring, if I remember correctly) where a very specific vegan product was. She immediately cited the brand and whether or not they carried it almost as if she had studied all the brands they carried in detail. Very good staff. Manager Nick saved the day (well it was nightshift) and went all over the store in search of what had been ordered--and it was there in cases waiting to be shelved. Wegmans has a self serve soup bar. There was a gentleman, WITHOUT a mask sneezing all over it. Then, wiping his nose, reaching for the tops of the soup containers. We are from France originally and the cheese collection here at Wegmans is the closest thing to home. We have been to many sipermarkets and there is so,etching very different about the employees here. They all seem love their jobs and helping people. This is not the case in Shoprite and Stop & Shop where they make you feel like "you are lucky we are working here and lucky we are helping you". Don't ask for fresh clean shrimp because for the amount of money you'll spend, it's actually frozen shrimp that the clerk thaws out for you. We bought Italian sausage and after it was cooked we discovered that it was extremely salty. All the meats are vacuumed sealed in a bag, something I would not try. The much anticipated Wegmans has opened in a perfect spot in Westchester county. So my wife has been to Wegmans before and can't stop talking about what Wegmans have that other stores don't. To me what stood out was the trainset, I love trains and you see a trainset in this place. I got a headache because of how massive this store is. The hot foods section was very delicious and very clean. Price-wise it like a mix between Whole Foods price and Shoprite. It's not to expensive but not to cheap either. Wegman's floral advertises on THe Knot wedding site for flowers. Beware!!!! They led me to believe they could help me up until a week and 1/2 before my event then canceled saying they "are not a florist, we can't do what you want"... (which was hydrangeas and some farmers roses)...then why did you go back and forth with me for 6 weeks leading me to believe you could and then leave me scrambling at the last minute??? Tried to go to the Mahwah location two months ago and lines there were around two corners. So glad this is in the neighborhood. As one lady said as she entered it is an experience. The best thing is the curbside pickup which helps during times like this. Beer selection is very good and place is so huge it doesnt feel like it is as packed as the parking lot makes it seem. Good wings and solid sushi. Not sure what other person is saying about a pool and spa and grotesque. This place is a above the other area groceries like stop and shop, whole foods and ShopRite. Try it after the initial nostalgia goes away and you will be surprised like I was.
