I actually dig this weggers, if I had to pick one to go to for life i would probably pick this one for a few reasons. I like how this place no matter what one has great customer service if you walk in during the day or if you show up at 1 am they still smile when cashing you out instead of the normal ignoring Ailey cash out that you usually receive when you go to any grocery store location. I like how the selection is diverse I know pretty much every wegmans is the same with location of goods and what not but for some reason it's easier for me to get around this location. Last I like how this place is in a great location it's pretty much in the middle of everything you can go anywhere and get anything I love it. Overall the only reason I gave them a four is because for a weird reason they never seem to have the normal selection of sushi, they have the minimum but they never have the special order stuff that other wegmans have but fortunately I can live without for the rest of my life if I had to read more

While living in upstate NY for college, I logged many trips to Wegmans and as a chain, it is above average. I was in Buffalo recently for the day and stopped off here since it was down the block from the airport and a good place to get breakfast. As far as my breakfast experience was concerned, I ordered egg whites and cheese on a wrap and it was pretty solid - not greasy and very portable. Decent coffee selection although I think it's time that Wegmans start potentially roasting at each location. A couple of other things to note - immaculate restroom and very friendly staff. I couldn't give this location 5 stars because it's in serious need of a facelift in my opinion. The store was just dark and dreary. Spruce up the lights or something. It's a far cry from the VA locations or even the NJ locations that I've been to. read more

Great Grocery Store. Was a bit confused on where some things were located, but just a great store. First off, the entire store was CLEAN, so important when shopping for groceries. I don't buy organic, but that had a huge selection which impressed me. There prices are okay, can't really judge this as I don't live here. Good old Weggies! I am torn been 3 and 4 stars. I've been shopping here since they had that awful tile floor mentioned in another review. Way before the remodel and long before it was " cool" ( lol )..this store is always super clean and I like 99% of the employees that I've come in contact with...but there are some things they just don't get right. They are limited on name brand items, some stuff you don't even get a choice in and they push Wegman's house brand on you for sure...they are CONSTANTLY moving stuff around and that gets annoying- very fast!...their prepared foods while convenient are waaaay over priced and not worth it imo... and every time I get a pound of cheese at the deli they never put the plastic sheets in between the slices so you are left with one big brick of cheese all stuck together. Phoned in my refill for pick up the next day! Was told when I went to pick it up that I needed to go home and phone my Healthcare Insurance for pre approval for my script. When I complained I was told it wasn't Wegmans fault from both employees at the counter and didn't offer to help. Only after my husband said to the one employee at the counter why can't you call the Insurance provider like other pharmacies do, did she agree to call. I mentioned my experience to my family and friends and they said their Pharmacies always call the Insurance companies when there is a problem with approval. I was seeking Fiji water and having having a tough time finding it in the largest size. While at Wegmans I asked an employee. I was told I could call and they would grab it off the shipment and bring it to my car for me when I arrived. I called and got the grocery manager. They were very kind about it, took my number and in two days I had my case! I was called back and boom. I'm am sipping paradise! Awesome customer service!! Awesome employees !!! I cannot say enough good things about Wegmans! I typically adhere to a low carb diet and this location has so many products that make my diet far more convenient, like a huge array of salads, prepared seafood, and vegetable noodles! Deli meat and cheese can be freshly prepared for you or picked up on the side- remains fresh for days. What lost them a star is I've had a few trips where they have been out of items I needed which I couldn't find decent substitutes for. Also, it gets insanely busy from 5-6:30 on weekdays and typically there are not enough registers to get people checked out without having to wait a long time. read more

What can I say? I am a sucker for wegmans! If you aren't from the area, do yourself a favor and visit this fantastic grocery store! This one is a bit smaller, and while still crazy busy (like they all are), it has a good selection, and is slight less crazy than some of their other, larger locations. This one has your usual larger produce section, a bakery, sub/ pizza/ Chinese/ $6 meal/coffee areas, and a place to eat. Wegmans has a much larger variety than most grocery stores, always has a clean bathroom, and has items he wouldn't expect from other chains. I like this location a lot, but if you are looking for the all-inclusive Wegmans experience, I recommend going to one of their larger locations, like the one on Transit in Clarence, which has the pub restaurant as well. read more

What can I say but I love Wegmans! They have a great food selection and their prices are very good. I've been to a few other locations in other states and they've always had things that are difficult to find in other places. As one other had written in reminds me a little of Whole Foods (or Whole Paycheck as I like to call them), but I would say it's much more reasonably priced. Wegmans also has a great prepared and bulk food selection. I would love it if they brought these out to CA and they would definitely give Whole Food a run for their money. read more

I really like this Wegman's- clean, easy to navigate, has all the bells and whistles. But like other Wegman's stores, it gets ca-ray-zay at peak times, which is all the time, minus early mornings or later evenings. This store gets an extra star than Transit Road in East Amherst Wegman's though because it's bigger and not as claustrophobic. read more

My husband and I over the past couple months have been very displeased with your store. We have been shopping at Wegman's for years. We spend approximately $600.00 a month at Wegman's and have always been very happy shopping at Dick Rd. Many of the old cashiers are gone who were very good, professional and friendly and replaced with people who have no idea how to bag groceries. I shouldn't have to tell the cashier not to put a rotisserie chicken in a bag with a half gallon of milk or cleaning products in with meats. They need to train these new people better and how to be more customer service oriented also. The lines are moving more slowly (reminds me of Top's). I can't tell you how many times I have bought Name Brand products at Wegman's and then one day I go shopping to find they discontinued my brand and replaced it with Wegman's Brand. Some people do prefer name brand products. I do use a lot of Wegman's products which are very good but some items I prefer Name Brands. So this issue just sends me to Tops. When we shop in the produce dept. there is a lady who will be stocking produce and will be in your way when you want to get something, she won't even acknowledge you standing behind her waiting to get something. You have to wait until she is done. (very poor customer service)!!! One request from my husband, put the individual cream cheese cups back by the bagels in the bakery. They moved them back by the coffee shop or have them in both areas. read more

I love Wegmans as a company in general. They have quality food and prices better than Tops. Plus I've also heard from people I know who work or have worked there and have said the company treats their employees great. So it try to go to wegmans as much as possible. This wegmans is the closest one to my house and even though there is a Tops that is closer, I am still willing to drive here. The quality of food is great, the prices are great, the staff is always nice and helpful and don't look like they hate that they're there. I really love Wegmans, and was a frequent shopper at the Amherst street location until I moved to Cheektowaga last year. I must say, I like this location better. It's a bit less crowded/hectic, but still has an amazing selection of merchandise. It's always clean and the staff is great. Wegmans has the best produce in both quality and price compared to other big grocery stores in the area. On the rare occasions I shop at Tops, I'm always disappointed when I pay a dollar or more for items I purchase regularly, most recently being frozen dinners. I like to keep a few Lean Cuisines or Healthy Choice dinners in my freezer for days I'm running late for work and need a grab-and-go. These are $1-2 more each at Tops, boo! I have a small dog who needs to eat gluten-free (not bc she's trendy, but bc she has canine epilepsy and this is a part of managing her condition.) Wegmans brand gluten-free dog food is so much cheaper than anything I've found at pet stores, and the pup gives it two thumbs up. I also purchase their store-brand cat food and cat litter, great price and virtually no difference from the big labels. That's one of the most awesome things about Wegmans, all their store-brand items are as good as, or better than, the national brands. Their brand of coffee is amazing. Their cleaning products work great. Great selection of meats, cheeses, and beer. Lovely bakery items. Great take-out food. Everyone knows Wegmans has a high rating as far as grocery stores go. But I am in love with Wegman's Café. I am a pretty picky Chinese food eater. I never like the stuff at the mall or at all you can eat buffets. I really like the fresh stuff that is flavorful and filling. I was nervous to try Wegmans Chinese food because it was buffet (and well, I don't assume a grocery store would be authentic) - but everything looked and smelled so good. I couldn't resist. And I am glad I didn't! I absolutely love it and have returned for more. I always want to expand what I try, but the Chinese food always calls my name now. My mom came there for lunch with me a couple days ago and ordered from the custom made pasta bar! Wow! She got a bowl of freshly cooked spinach with whole wheat noodles, garlic, and some other veggies. PERFECT for my mom as she strives to eat healthy and there really are not a ton of places to do that for a quick lunch. I am impressed and actually want to head there now for more! read more

The staff at the sushi bar are very awesome. They customized sushi for my son who wanted non-spicy shrimp roll.

This being the original store, it was always good to begin with. Since they opened the new store on the same site a few years ago, it really has become even better.
