My major complaint is with the pharmacy at this location. They are extremely slow and inefficient. When trying to place an order for home delivery of meds over ten days ago, they claim only to have shipped the prescription three business days ago. What would they have done if it was something life-threatening, like stroke medication? Just let it marinate in the postal system while the person who needs it suffers? The staff here cannot be playing with people's fates like this. If it was processed at the time the home order was placed, it would've already arrived, but now what? Seriously be warned about getting home delivery from here if you're running low on meds, it will take twice as long as you think :( read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I did a pickup on TUESDAY for Saturday (Xmas eve) for 12-1pm pickup. At 10am I get a txt that my order is postponed because no shoppers and they'll txt when they start shopping. It's 2pm and I've still heard nothing. I call the store and he asks name and checks the queue to see where my order is. He says that my name isn't even in system and must've gotten pushed to MONDAY. Ok this order was for Xmas with my family and an hour after my pickup time they tell me that I should just cancel the order. Absolutely ridiculous and horrible. Don't oversell your time slots if you can't handle the volume! Forced me to postpone my trip back to NH and had to go to the grocery store where everything I wanted was sold out. read more

Ahhh where do I begin? This is an excellent market! My trips to Wegmans have become the highlight of my week. I come here at least every other week and I could never get enough of this wonderful place, it just makes me very happy and I know plenty of people (particularly New Yorkers) who would concur! From their online/magazine recipes, to their liquor store right upstairs, prepared foods (I've tried many and they're all delish!) awesome bakery, beautiful fresh produce and lastly, my mom loves buying her vitamins and herbal supplements from here because they're significantly cheaper than CVS. This is an all-in-one place which gifts us with convenience and great products! Only thing that many do not enjoy is how crowded it always is, however that's because this place is great, we can't resist the visit! read more

UPDATE. Aisles still empty on a Sunday! It was great when they first opened but unfortunately every week goes downhill . On the weekends when a majority of people do their shopping you would expect they would be prepared but each week the produce section is always empty and the bread and bakery aisle is always bare. Why doesn't anybody in the sandwich department know how to make a sandwich? Each new employee doesn't seem to know what they are doing? Why offer wraps when they are not trained to know how to roll them? I'll have to say the employees are always nice and the store is always clean. read more

This place has awesome food. However, everyone and their Mother in the Greater Boston area likes to shop here. So, every day @ Wegman's is like Quincy Market on a Saturday afternoon. Mahem! Yuppies and their kids pouring in and out of the store at alarming rates. The aisles are too small for the amount of foot traffic and carriages. I get the willies just thinking about it. So... Many... Yuppies. Too... Many... Yuppies. I've seen glaciers move faster than their check-out lines. In all fairness, it is a really nice store. Quality food. Stear clear of the hot soups. Just had two very bad experiences. Clam chowder day 1, sandy clam. Day 2, returned and replaced by cheddar broccoli, (what was left at the bottom of the 5 gallon pot). First taste sensation of both was salt. Then black pepper. Thankfully, there was only a half pint of that cheddar broccoli to be scraped from the bottom of the pot, as after a couple of hours of nausea, it came back with a vengeance. I love Wegmans! The best thing is that the employees are always willing to help- just walking down an aisle, an employee would ask you if you need help. They always know where everything is and know what you need - the best is Jimmy! We always have trouble finding items and he always helps us with a smile. I like how they have a variety of selection of meats, cheese, fruits and veggies. They also have more brands available. Everything is fresh and the quality is far superior than stop & shop, etc. The better quality doesn't necessary equate to higher price points either... I find it quite on par to stop & shop and some times cheaper depending on the item. I also like their prepared foods... my favorite is the vegetarian sesame chicken that they don't make any more but I wish they would bring back! This dumb Karen ass manager wouldn't sell my friends and I, who are all of age, alcohol because I forgot my ID in the car. She said she didn't care if we were 50 years old without IDs she still wouldn't sell to us which is total BS. They claim they require IDs from EVERYONE in the party. If I was 40 years old with a 10 year old child, would they ID my child too??? She proceeded to get on the mic and tell everyone to not sell to us. Unimpressed. Pros: - Really impressive olives, cheese and cured meats selection. - Decent selection of organic produce. - Nice prices for the wine and liquor upstairs. Cons: - Idiotic parking setup. - Obscene prices for some seafood products (and sometimes the meat as well). - It's usually crowded so moving through the aisles quickly becomes a pain (I've discovered coming here on a Fri. evening is usually quieter, but then some of the shelves in the produce section are empty.) - The higher end desserts are overrated and overpriced. - Poor variety of brands for coffee cream and some other dairy products. - Baggers are usually not assisting cashiers so checkout can be slow and if you offer to bag it gets really hectic quick. I've found that for my needs I need to go to another store or two to end up finishing up the grocery shopping. There's always 3-4 items I can't find here. Good grief! Wegman's is AMAZING! I had never been to a Wegman's before this location opened and didn't really understand the hype but once I got there it was like the skies had cleared and there were rainbows shining over Newton. I don't understand how people can complain about a store whose prices rival Market Basket but I guess I shouldn't be surprised because it's Chestnut Hill and people always seem to have their panties in a twist. Their prepared food section is indeed wonderful and extremely affordable. You can get a good quality hot meal (entree+ 2 sides) for SIX DOLLARS. Their own brand of products is high in quality and inexpensive. The staff goes out of their way to help and always seem to have a genuine smile on their face. The first time my boyfriend and I went (which, I'll have you know, was at 10pm on a Sunday, amazing in itself), we signed up for a Wegman's card after we had made our purchases, and the woman at the desk gave us a rebate just for being new customers. Now that's good customer service. The parking garage will be fantastic in the winter or when it's raining out, but don't worry, complainers (I can't believe people are complaining about a parking garage)! There's an entire uncovered parking lot behind Wegman's, too. Let's not forget to mention their liquor store which has some of the cheapest prices around. Honestly, I don't really get the negative reviews. Sure, if you drove across state lines just to see it, you may be slightly disappointed, but when you consider the rest of the options in Newton, it's pretty damn fantastic. For one thing, the hours are unreal. I mean, a grocery store that's open until midnight in *Newton*? Considering that this town rolls up its sidewalks at 9, that's almost unbelievable. And it even opens at 6 AM! That's 18 hours of business every day! Besides that, when you compare it to the nearby Star Market and Shaw's, their prices are significantly lower. And of course, it's no surprise that it's way cheaper than Whole Foods, for products that are of the same quality or even better (including tons of organic/ethical products). Sure, the produce is cheaper at Russo's (although this is much more convenient to get to) and the frozen food/snacks are still cheaper at Trader Joe's, but this is overall a great place to get a lot of bang for your buck along with a ton of variety, which the former two markets don't quite have. Every Wegman's brand product I've tried has been of great quality and price. Plus, they truly run the gamut - everything from Nutella to a huge assortment of pasta sauces. I really like the international food aisle - while I can't find *everything* there, I have found some great gems, including a great assortment of Asian food products I usually have to go to Super 88 or H Mart for. I haven't gotten to try that many, but so far, I've thoroughly enjoyed all of the prepared foods I've tried there, especially anything from the vegetarian section. I really like how they can get inventive with these dishes. They also have some things you really wouldn't expect to find at a grocery store like real truffles (priced at $999 a pop) and frozen escargot. Other things worth noting include their breads - these may not be the best loafs I've ever tasted, but they are damn good, and they will give you a slice to sample if you ask. Last week we took home the rosemary and olive oil loaf which I really enjoyed. They have a super awesome selection of cheeses including seriously delectable Taleggios at very reasonable prices. I especially like how they place cards with descriptions of each cheese, including how sharp it is. As someone who looooves extra sharp cheese and trying new things, it's an awesome guide. Now that the hype has died down a bit and the store isn't so crowded, it makes for a wonderful place to shop. The staff is both very helpful and keep this place running like a well-oiled machine. I'm 28 years old and I almost shat my pants buying a bottle of wine because of the looming cop patrolling the checkout line. I felt like a criminal or like I was going to get arrested, and had to keep reminding myself that I was well over the legal age of buying liquor. It was really unnecessary for a policeman to be there. The cashiers also have to walk to another area just to scan your ID, which is awkward and inefficient. I was unlucky to get the grouchy old female cashier who was rude and short with me. As for the prices of this place, I just don't get it. It's like paying Capital Grille prices for Applebee's quality food. $3.99 for ONE vietnamese summer roll? $6 for 6 dumplings? $39.99 for a pound of cooked lobster??? Are they out of their minds? I go to this Wegmans every week as my regular grocery store, and just love it! Though it's much smaller than most Wegmans in NY and PA, it still has a pharmacy section, bakery, coffee stand, prepared food, and fresh sandwiches and pizza. In my eyes, the biggest pros are the staff, who are incredibly friendly and helpful, the big but not overwhelming selection, and the fact that Wegmans is a very ethical company. We always look for Rich who is there on Sunday afternoons/evenings, he's a good bagger and great human! I also love their selection of prepared food that is easy to bring home or bring to work for lunch. Make sure you get the Wegmans app to make your grocery lists, which sorts your items by aisle to make your trip more efficient, shows prices, and keeps track of your purchases so you don't forget anything! Biggest con is that this store gets very busy on weekends and sometimes runs out of produce. read more

...oh boy! We all know this is going to be a high profile business to review. I'll start by saying all I've ever heard was GREAT things about Wegman's. Heck, even MY company raved about the place during a customer service team meeting last year. I was very excited when I heard a location was coming to a Boston. We waited a week before visiting. Obvi, we were not going to attempt on opening day - although we DID hear about the parking lot that Rt. 9 became that day...and drove past the traffic sign placed just for the opening that warned passers by of "GROCERY STORE OPENING TODAY". We went today, an entire week after the place opened. First off - garage parking. Really? I do NOT want to take an elevator up and down to grocery shop...these are inconveniences that I moved OUT of the city proper to avoid. Ick!!! There IS a normal parking lot too, but it is rather small and tight, and you have to drive past the garage to get there. Next stop, the carts. They are mini/half carts like at Roche Brothers. They do have normal sized carts too, but after shopping for almost an hour today, I don't see how I could comfortably maneuver a normal grocery cart around that place. I felt like I was driving a bus through a bike lane! Next up, selection. I've heard again and again about the walls of products this place has. Well, not this location! Don't get me wrong, they DO have a *Wegman's* brand of everything - and then 1-2 nationally recognized brands, if that. I wasn't impressed! I guess they are better at offering raw foods and organic products than say, a Stop & Shop or Shaw's. I guess they are kind of a cross between Shaw's and Whole Foods. I will say, the place is beautiful. I love their design/aesthetics. The signage and displays are just lovely and make me want to shop there.The layout was a tad cooky to me. Seemed backwards from most normal grocery stores and they have like two sets of aisles, instead of one, ie: they are deeper than they are wide? Probably just a function of their real estate (like Shaw's in the Pru) but annoying, still. Prices? Meh. I didn't feel like I was saving any money, let's just say that. I filled up an entire mini-cart (with both national and store brand products, FYI, this grocery-getting-gal does not discriminate!) for $150...I can fill a regular grocery cart up at Shaw's for the same. Now, the part of Wegman's that supposedly sets them apart from everyone else - the people. Well, they were certainly everywhere, I'll give them that. In droves! And apparently, there is some sort of color coding to their shirts, because I saw black, teal, yellow, etc. Did any of them approach me and ask if I needed help? Did any of them greet me? Did any of them offer me a larger cart when they noticed my mini one starting to overflow? Nope, nope, nope. If customer service was such a hard on at this place like people say it is, I would have expected at least one of the above to happen. But it didn't. Again, underwhelmed. I am going to go ahead and give it another shot. Perhaps wait a month or so for the hype to die down, use a big cart, and park in the normal lot. See what happens... I wanted Wegman's to change my life - really I did. And maybe that is where I went wrong...expected more than was ever going to be there for me. For now, I'll be shopping at Shaw's. Large. Plenty of parking. Cheaper. I'm hoping there's enough happening on my next visit to bring me back. read more

As someone who grew up in Buffalo and who has made the 40 minute trip west to the Northborough store, I had expected much, much more. I was completely underwhelmed. I went on Day Two. The parking lot is a disaster for sure, but I expected that. Upon entering, I could only find the mini shopping carts which gave me some insight about the store. It was packed (also expected) but the aisles seem small and hard to steer even the mini cart around the store. The prepared food section is nice for sure, but it seems much, much less than Northborough. Buffalo ex-pats will understand this - THEY DID NOT HAVE SPONGE CANDY!!! How can Wegman's not have sponge candy??? Northborough has sponge candy! Did they sell out on opening day??? (I would not imagine, but I don't know for sure...) I decided to pick up a few things - it ended up being $60 - I had anticipated it would be around $40. I noticed some things at Wegman's were more expensive than they are at Whole Foods. Wait, Wegman's is more expensive than Whole Foods??? I braved the parking lot a second time today (Day Three) because my daughter really wanted to go to lunch there. We got three chicken wings, two mozzerella sticks, seven pieces of sushi, a small mac and cheese and one Diet Coke - it was $27!!! We could have had lunch at Bloomingdale's across the street for that price!!! I don't know if the outrageous prices are because we are in the high rent district of Chestnut Hill or if things have just changed and Wegman's is not a great value anymore (although I never felt that way about the Northborough store which I was at about three months ago). Born and raised in Upstate NY, I had been patiently awaiting the arrival of Wegmans since its expansion to Boston was announced. What a disappointment. If the company's goal was to assimilate to the local culture, mission accomplished. 1. Let's start with the store itself: small, cramped, oddly laid out, and every stereotype about Boston traffic is present in the actual foot traffic inside: NOBODY seems to know how to walk or have any awareness of their surroundings while shopping here. You'll get cut off and in front of, people will crowd counters and especially the packaged meat areas like the place is going out of business. Maybe the latter isn't Wegmans' fault (though the layout surely doesn't help much), so let's move on. 2. No TRUE Wegmans subs. I knew this going in, but figured I'd give the "Sandwich Shop" a shot anyway. I got my usual Wegmans Assorted on their ciabatta sub roll (which I would normally get on the best, softest and freshest wheat roll known to man). It was painful both in the wallet and mouth. $8 for a 7" and $13 for a 14", which is insane BEFORE considering it comes on a prepackaged ciabatta roll. A ciabatta sub roll that is so much work to bite into and chew, that I just kind of pulled the sub apart at the end and ate the contents without it. 3. Price and selection of meats. I used to love Wegmans meat selection, especially the marinated chicken breasts and steak cuts. The non family-pack cuts here were all priced so insanely high that I actually laughed out loud when I picked up a few steak cuts, and that seemed to be the sentiment of everyone around the cooler. Chicken selection was poor and a good 25% more than what you'd pay at Stop and Shop for the same quality cuts. The coolers are also laughably small, while there is an entire back wall dedicated to yogurt. 4. Organic, organic, ORGANIC! There is a HUGE push regarding organic products at this store, at the expense of "regular" (read: reasonably priced) products. I have no issue with organic products, but I'd appreciate more of a choice, especially at a tiny location. We already have enough Whole Foods around if we want to blow entire paychecks on groceries, thanks. 5. Picked over. It's one thing to be low on a few things here and there, but the produce section had a LOT of bare walls showing, and I overheard more than 1 "I'm sorry, we're all out of that" conversion happening. Basically, this specific Wegmans is an overpriced, undersized, Whole Foods knockoff that is playing off a reputation that it is also very quickly destroying. Wegmans has catered to, taken advantage of, and possibly fallen victim to, the fact that it's located in Chestnut Hill, instead of providing the legendary experience many of us have come to love and many of you may never know. I'll stick to popping in for a real sub the few times a year I head back to NY. In the meantime, I'll be at Stop and Shop until Market Basket gets it together. read more

THIS store is my JAM! As an avid Trader Joe's fan, Wegmans is quickly taking the lead as my new favorite grocery store in the area. I think the prices are much more reasonable and the produce section is very extensive. I also really enjoy the salad/hot food bar. I appreciate that they have a separate vegetarian section. My favorite is the sesame (fake) chicken. I also find that healthcare products are cheaper than drugstores. The contact solution I purchase (clearcare) was on sale at Wegman's for about $12 and I sadly paid close to $20 for it at cvs. The employees are always very friendly and helpful whenever I have questions or need assistance. lastly, The late hours are also a plus. I like being able to go to the store later to avoid the crowds...so it's nice to have a late night option. All in all I am glad to have a Wegmans in the area. read more

Wegmans is the best grocery store in Massachusetts. I'm weird and I'm obsessed with grocery shopping. Since moving to MA from California I had not been able to find a decent store for grocery shopping until I came across wegmans. The store is clean, has lots of parking and even has a toaster and microwaves. I look forward to shopping here even though I live half an hour away. Their produce is very high quality and the prices are extremely reasonable and affordable. I buy all of my produce here for significantly less than you would pay at whole foods. For example, a 2 pound box of strawberries costs 4.99 here, spaghetti squash is $1.29 a pound, bananas 39 cents a pound and they are dole brand. The quality is comparable to whole foods. I've had to make a few returns here and the cashier has been pleasant about it and didn't try to question me or make me feel bad. Their bakery is to die for! They have self serve brownies at $11.99. It's expensive but their chocolate chip cookie dough brownies are delicious and not something you would find at other grocery stores. I also love their mini blueberry scones, mini white chocolate chip cookies and self serve muffins. I have never bought anything from the hot and cold food bar but I've noticed a ton of vegetarian options including vegetable chow mein and tofu. They have a huge selection of ice cream and cookies. They carry turkey hill ice cream (my favorite). The ice cream and cookies are cheaper than what you'd pay at places like star market. They carry a large selection of dairy free milks and have my favorite almond breeze for only $1.99 a carton. This is even cheaper than it is at trader joes and target. Lastly, they have an amazing bulk section which is self serve. They have lots of candies, nuts and grains and a trail mix bar. There's a machine to print your own price tag that makes checking out easier. I recommend trying their chocolate coconut clusters. I wish they had self checkout but all of the employees who have rang me up have been pleasant. Make sure you drive all the way to the back of the strip mall. The first time I went here I got confused and walked in the rain to their wine and beer shop rather than the actual grocery store. read more

The prepared food area has some good choices - but let's keep it in perspective. It's buffet food in a supermarket. So it is what it is... a snack at best. Their meat section and cheese section had some very good options. You will find high quality options here and I did pick up a very unique cheese that is hard to find. The bakery also proved to have some delicious breads. Overall it's a nice supermarket but pales in comparison to the Wegmans I went to in NY. The supermarket as a whole is just blah to me. Dunno I think the decor, lighting, narrow aisles, and the whole way things were laid out just didn't impress me. When Wegman first opened, people were all talking about it so I went with my family to check it out. My first impression was, 'it's just any grocery store, not big deal.' Not impressed at all. They didn't have a good variety for cooked foods. But they do have a huge wine and alcohol selection but my husband mentioned that they didn't do a very good job on maintaining some of the wine because they were against the glass window and when the sun is hot, it can ruin the wine. The reason I give a 4 star now is that, the 2nd time I went, I actually really looked through their things. pros: 1) has pretty much everything you need for groceries and accessories and their international products were well stocked 2) open until 12am daily 3) prices weren't too priced up 4) has family style packed meat produce 5) indoor garage parking 6) very helpful workers 7) a lot of varieties cons: 1) only sells their own brand fresh produce and milk read more

5 star grocery store, I understand why people rave about this place. It is not only their prepared foods that shine but their pre-prepared foods. Like the almond crusted salmon they sell. I can pop that bad boy in the oven and I'll look like a regular Gordon Ramsey when it comes out. It's like Whole Foods quality at Stop & Shop prices. WEGMANS! I get so happy to come here for some reason. The selection is... well, it depends what you're comparing it to. On a wegmans scale, it's not super impressive, but compared to grocery stores in the area, they're pretty good. The prices vary a LOT, some things surprisingly cheap and others more expensive than whole foods, but it all makes sense because they cater to the Brookline/Newton/Wellesley demographic. It sometimes stresses me out to come here on weekends. I don't like feeling like I'm going to butt-bump everyone around me with my cart. The upside is that their hours are LONG and they're open until midnight, so it's very easy to avoid the slow-moving crowds. I like the liquor store here a lot (hah). The prices are pretty comparable to Martignetti's and I appreciate that they keep such a variety of beers in the fridges. Once when I couldn't find something I was looking for, the manager seemed interested in what it was - and alas, they had it in stock a couple weeks later. Not sure if I was the cause, but I'm certainly happy when they stock my favorite ciders! Also, I like their sandwich bar A LOT. The pizza and hot food, I will definitely pass. read more

I'm a fan of the general grocery selection, the hot food, the pre-prepped, ready-to-cook meals, and the bakery items. I am NOT a fan of the layout of the store, which is pretty inefficient. The aisles don't line up and there are strange angular sections and cutouts, so you're constantly changing course to move throughout the store. I never feel like I'm doing it right and backtrack several times in one trip. Prices are pretty bananas, as others have mentioned, but it may be worth it for the convenience. Really good supermarket! I love their baked goods, which are a little pricier than most supermarkets but good. Their seafood dept is one of the best outside of a independent speciality market that'l are typically overpriced. I always get their bronzini and other small whole fresh fish, but scallops, shrimp, and fillets of big fish are all great. The produce is ok, better almost anywhere except Russos. The possessed snacks (chips, soda, ice cream, frozen junk) is way cheaper than other stores, usually under the msrp. My secret obsession though is the fresh squeezed lemonade made in house. It's addictive. Wish they had it all year. Don't forget coupons too! They save a lot and have good specials. read more

We were at this store on Sunday April 14th evening at around 8 pm, counter 10. Couple issues: 1. The girl at cash register had no help bagging groceries which meant longer checkout lines- we saw some employees walking past our cash counter chatting away with each other - they should have seen that the counter was getting backed up with customers waiting to check out and offered to help the cashier with bagging groceries. 2. Not adequately stocked with groceries. Yes it was 8pm Sunday but if you keep your store open until midnight then please be adequately stocked. There were 4 pieces of not-so-good ripe vine tomatoes so we didnt end up buying tomatoes. Several other vegetables were missing too. We doubt that we will drive up to this place in the future to buy groceries. read more

They have my protein bars that I love (quest bars) and a good selection of frozen fruit. Some of the fruit is overpriced, but they have pretty much everything that you could be looking for. In spite of living near a Whole Foods & Stop & Shop, I drive 15 minutes every week to do my grocery shopping at Wegmans. Why? Well, there are several reasons... 1. Wegmans tends to be cheaper than Whole Foods & Stop & Shop. 2. They have a large selection of delicious prepared foods. On days that I am swamped with work & don't have time to cook, it's great to to be able to grab an already made meal. 3. They have weekly store coupons, & they also double manufacturers' coupons that are valued under $1.00. 4. They are open until midnight. 5. They have an international foods section & carry Jacob's cream crackers - a major draw for me. 6. They have great baked goods & bread (try their sourdough). read more

I have been to two Wegmans store, one located in Burlington, MA and this one is the other one I have been too. Overall, my experience is positive, I like the variety of selections you can find in the store, food/fruit are fresh :) The store is way smaller than the one in Burlington and the parking space is not as many, I would love to give a 4.5 start for the store but this is not an option here :) read more

I went for the first time today and I was impressed!! The prepared food selection was good and the sushi and pizza bialy was delish! It's a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth it. My dogs will enjoy their sustainable beef stew tonight! Parking was a little hard to find because it's packed.....but I did eventually find a spot. read more

This place is always fun, especially when they hold special events here. I like the area where there is a working scale model freight train high above the ground. Everything in this place is well laid out as well. read more

I see why everyone says they love Wegmans. It's pretty affordable, good quality (especially their store brand items) and they have almost everything. My second experience was much better. My cashier was super friendly. The first time I went was right after they opened and my cashier was a young man who didn't know how to enter the coupons I had. They mail out pretty good coupons too which is nice. read more

3.5 stars. Wegmans certainly has a lot going for it: awesome/huge prepared food area, a great variety of reasonably priced fresh meat and fish, solid package store (nice craft beer selection), good variety of produce (some of which was even from local farms), great bulk foods section. It definitely kicks the butt of some other grocery chains (Shaws and Star Market, looking at you), but Trader Joe's and Whole Foods are still stiff competition in their own right. I was hoping to see more Wegman brand items that were both tasty/unique and cheap (like the large cans of 3 types of baked beans I found for .99, or the 12-pack of frozen pierogies for 1.50), but I didn't find near as many as I do at Trader Joe's. Also, TJ's is cheaper on a lot of fronts (cheese, for example). Wegman's is solid, but I'm still pretty loyal to TJ's. read more

As someone who went to college in Syracuse in the 90s and Wegman's was in a category all by itself as far as grocery store chains go, I have to say, I wasn't all that impressed with this location. I didn't like parking in a garage, although I understand why there is garage parking with the limitation of space. The store itself, was small. Again, we are not talking about a sprawling suburban location like Syracuse and Buffalo that has the space for huge parking lots and megastore real estate. I left there spending more than $100, on what I think would have been about $70 at Trader Joe's and perhaps about $90 at Whole Foods. That's right, Wegman's in Chestnut Hill is more expensive than Whole Foods. Wegmans is also known for their huge, fresh selection of produce. Again, I can't say I was all that impressed with the produce, in particular, the organic produce. We were there about 2-3 weeks after they opened, so perhaps the store was still going through some growing pains. With that said, I can say I'll be rushing back any time soon. read more

Checked it out during the first week. It's decent. Lacks all of the charm of a normal Wegmans. Wasn't as pretty an warm and inviting as the one I'm more familiar with in Johnson City, NY. My first memory of Wegmans was Wegmans's generic version of Crystal Pepsi and Nintendo Cereral. I miss the 90's,,,,, read more
