Wegmans is the best place on earth, the Disneyland of supermarket prepared foods. With Asian, Indian, American, salad, Mediterranean, and time-of-day-specific buffet lines, it always has the right food on hand. I can't say enough great things about how happy the staff are, their care for their foods, the loving design of the menu and architecture and layout and every amenity and item, the completely thought out everything, it all shows in everything Wegmans Market Cafe offers. Many people think Wegman's is too expensive. There is no doubt that some items (to the left as you enter) like their hot buffet, dry aged beef and seafood are quite expensive. However, the pharmacy is great and their regular grocery prices are VERY competitive. The staff could not be more helpful and interested in customer satisfaction. We just love it. read more

I have seen the light. I am a hater no more. When Wegmans announced that not 1, but 2 stores were coming to the Richmond area in 2016, the people went nuts. I'm sitting here not understanding how anyone could go crazy over a grocery store, but now I get it. I spent the morning working at a Yelp Baltimore event and realized afterward that I hadn't had a real meal in 2 days. Needless to say I was long overdue for a chance to sit down and savor something delicious before I embarked on my 3.5 hour journey home. I saw this Wegmans over yander and decided that that was the time to try and see what the hype was all about. Baybaaaaaaaaay was I surprised at how good everything was. The best part is that it was only $10! I was expecting it to be at least $20 because the only other place with a salad bar that great is Whole Foods and that thing will cost you an arm and a leg. I got a smart water, salad from the salad bar, and a medium ham sub on wheat bread. All of the employees were super helpful; even when I admitted that I didn't know what I was doing because I'd never been in a Wegmans before. Afterward, I went to the Market Café and sat down to enjoy my meal before hitting the road. Oh Wegman's. When I first was introduced to you years ago in Princeton NJ, I don't think I fully appreciated your culinary greatness. Since then, I have become so fond of you I will drive 30 minutes outside the city to procure my groceries from you. I hate Safeway and Whole Foods with the fiery passion of a 1,000 suns! I could never hate Wegman's. The selection of food and the customer service are paramount to any grocery store out there. I challenge someone to show me a better grocery store. In MD there are only two that I am aware of. The one in Hunt Valley is not as nice as this newer location. This one is pretty nice and of course it is packed because it is new. Do not listen to the complaints from the one person below about offering things under a heat lamp. It may cater to "lazy" but it is also a convenience. If I am not mistaken that is part of a good business. The $6 diners are great and affordable if you want something home cooked and fast. They have an enormous salad bar and variety of fruits and veggies. The bread department is awesome and so is the cheese shop. I could live in the cheese shop alone. The only complaint I have about Wegman's is the crowds. I do not hold that against the store because it shows that they are putting out a good product that does live up to the "hype". They are a well run family business. I have been going to these stores for years and they are always consistent with quality and price. Now, here is a nugget of information that I am not sure too many people know about...yet. If you are a chocolate craving monster, you must try the "Ultimate Chocolate Cake". Oh man, that is good stuff. They have a large and a small version. This is a neat story where they had a cake baking contest and whoever won the contest, Wegman's would purchase the recipe from the contestant. The older African American lady at the deli is extremely rude. She has zero social skills and should not be dealing with the public. Everyone else is kind and friendly, not her. She looks rather miserable while doing her job so maybe she should be working in an area where she does not have to interact with people. Asked for a certain type of meat and she gave me an over exaggerated shrug with a clueless look on her face. I stood there not knowing what she wanted me to do and then she finally said well which one??? There are two different kinds. I have never been in a better grocery store. This has it all - fresh, organic foods, the widest variety of ethnic foods and options for days on everything. The pricing is a little higher than your average grocery store, but this is no average store. There is a little restaurant as well. There are plenty of grab and go options for meals that don't even need reheating - and the pricing isn't awful. Everything in this store rings of quality. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of caring or even a decent response or even an offer for a store credit after buying spoiled infant formula from the Bel Air, MD location. Had my 6 month old daughter fallen ill from the egregiously irresponsible error, this would be a very serious situation. It is not our responsibility as customers to sort through expired products on a store's shelves. :( A store credit would have been the absolute LEAST they could have offered. Instead, we received a lame email acknowledging only that they should have made sure their product was not expired! Very disappointed, indeed. Best customer service; great prices; always clean and bright. Ask any employee where an item is and they will take you to it. I love that! Just one time, a good while ago, I witnessed a manager that was less than kind to two employees. That bothered me. But other than that, it's an excellent place to shop. We drive 10 miles to shop at the nearest Wegmans, passing by two Shop Rites and two Giants along the way. Pretty much, I love the variety and the ability to get everything I need in one store! The selection of meats, cheeses, and produce is top notch. I used to have to shop at Giant and Target and Wal Mart to get everything.. but now its all in one convenient location. I will warn other customers: the cashiers have gotten SLOPPY lately. A few weeks ago, one got NASTY with me because of a manufacturers coupon I was using. Today, I was overcharged in produce! The cashier rang up 2 heads of green lettuce (price $1.99 each for a total of $3.98) when I really bought 2 ears of corn (total should have been $0.67). He also INCORRECTLY rang up my green bell pepper ($1.99 per pound) as a red bell pepper ($2.99 per pound). I watch them like a hawk everytime, and this is the 3rd or 4th time that a cashier has incorrectly rang up and overcharged me for produce. If the cashier isn't sure what the 4 digit code is for a piece of produce, please just look it up instead of guessing and overcharging the customer. They also have scales and label makers in the produce section, so maybe I'll start using them rather than allowing the cashier to make up a code and charge me for whatever. read more

I have been to many Wegmans locations. This one in particular gets 4 stars because their organic produce quality that they sell is subpar. The organic produce isle needs an expansion and to offer more choices. Everywhere else from the coffee bar to floral shop is top notch. My favorite are the natural foods section, deli and the olive bar along with their huge cheese selection. The floral shop always has fresh flowers. I have a grocery store down the street from my house (less than 5 minutes) and I still prefer to drive 20-30 minutes to Wegmans and back. In fact I still feel that I save time by doing so! This place has everything! I almost never have to wait in line there, their app actually tells me where stuff is located in the store and they have actual people to help everywhere. Not only do they have plenty of staff to help, but the staff always seems happy to help! The food is always great, produce, deli, they have a whole restaurant practically. The prices are great! They have there own brand of most stuff and its always just as good if not better than other brands. I seriously feel like the staff really cares about me. I also have two small children and there is almost always a kid's cart (mom's know what I'm talking about) available. The only time they didn't have one was on a Sunday afternoon when it was super crowded. (BTW they also seem to be stocking the shelves on Sunday afternoons, I don't recommend going at that time). But anyway... One time I was looking through the candy isle for M&M's and a lady who works there saw me and asked what I was looking for (she could have just walked right by and I wouldn't even had known). I told her and she showed me, but the best part was that she told me about the bulk food section of the store and how I could get the Wegmans brand for like half the price and I could get any color I wanted (which was perfect for the holiday treats I was making). It was so cool and so thoughtful of her. I could spend all day at Wegmans if it weren't for having a family to take care of. haha I feel lucky to have a Wegmans I can shop at and I highly recommend it! read more

They have everything you could ever need. I don't understand people that think they are expensive because that definitely isn't the case. Many every day items are priced less than other local stores. Sure if you are going to buy dry aged beef or organic salmon from europe it's gonna cost you but you aren't going to find those items in Kliens. Try and find yellow beets in another store in harford county..... you can't The food court is a great place to eat before shopping and the selection can't be beat, there is something for everyone from fried chicken to sushi to pizza to salad or a sub. I love wegmans, they have almost everything and delicious fresh food everyday. It's a little pricey but honestly totally worth it.

I love how friendly and attentive all of the staff are. I am a vegetarian with celiac and the produce never disappoints. There is a wide selection if I am in the mood to try something new or exotic. The gluten-free section is larger than any other grocery that I have been in and there are gf products throughout the store as well. I love the nature's marketplace and the smells of the self serve natural bath products too. The seafood section is generous and everything I have bought for family has been fresh. read more

I have lived 5 minutes from Wegmans since it was built, and it is definitely my go to for not only grocery shopping, but food as well. I love the salad bar, but my favorite is the wing bar, so delicious. I make it a point to come here anytime I can which is usually on my way home from the Charlestown Crossing community. With a lack of any good grocery stores in Newark, DE we decided to try Wegmans in Maryland. Yes, we drove 45 minutes. The place is a little over whelming at first. A huge buffet with many different kinds of food, food bar, sandwich counter and Pizza. There is a nice section of tables and chairs to enjoy you eats right there in the store. Farther back there is the "Fireside room". It's a room with tables to sit and eat as you watch the flat panel TV and enjoy a fireplace so you don't even know your in a store. We started in the Market area with freshly cooked food, a great bakery & pastries, Butcher counter with aged Beef, fresh seafood and Mexican food. A huge fruit and produce section with black truffles for only $999.99 a pound under lock each counter staffed to the max!and key haha! Not this trip. I'm sure we missed something! Feeling a yearning to fill out tummy we decided on Sushi. With no less than 4 people preparing mostly rolls trying to keep up with the demand. It was the best grocery store Sushi I ever had! Now that we've cured our apatite is was time to fill our cart. It has tough navigating the carts at times because the place was packed. We made our way to the cheese counter/section. They have the biggest selection of cheese from all over the world. If tea is your thing than Wegmans is the place for you. Loose Tea by the pound from Asia, England as well as other tea's that you can't get in just any store. The Natural food section is big with anything you could want. If you need kitchen supplies they have that too. There is a section of the store that has aisles of typical foods too with Wegmans own label food being cheaper that other national chain store. Checkout was a breeze with 15-20 cash registers all open and a self checkout too.We'll make it a bi-monthly trip well worth the time to get there. read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE- just don't go shopping before a Raven's game-the place is packed. The produce is by far the freshest. The Wegmans brand deli meat is a good quality-none of that pressed mystery meat. Your enticed by the wafting scent of cinnamon when you walk through the doors. I usually run to Wegman's when I'm in need of my 'earthy' products as my family would call it. My alternative milks, vegan cheese, cream cheese, faux meets...etc But if you were even trying to be healthier or already are making those choices, it's a good bet you can grab them all here. Maca powder, goji berries, make your own trail mix, weleda skin products... Then grab a redbox movie on your way out. This is a nice store with a large selection. The prices are a little on the high side. The only reason other then price that I rated them with a 4 is they changed the bakery Danishes to petit and are WAY over priced. I wish they would get the regular size back . They also switched their ground beef in those stupid vac, packs . There cakes have always been beautiful when I have ordered them in the past, but this last cake was just an Embarrassment! They must've had an amateur do the writing because any person could've done just as good of a job. Now it's a 2 star at best read more
