They were battered in something that was like tempura. They were excellent. My only complaint is that I had too much food and couldn't eat them all. I've also gotten to where fries don't excite me any more. They are often bland. While these were incredible, they weren't bland and were very good. I paid with cash which knocked 3.5% off my bill, so get some cash before you go. The cost was reasonable as well. In total, my meal was just under $14. This was a great meal! Highly recommend!
