Especially if you are using tables and chairs, please be mindful of your guests and their ability to move about the room without worry. The restrooms here were tidy and spacious. The parking lot is a bit small. I am unsure if the venue has overflow parking. The parking lot in front of the building will fill up fast. I am not sure if this place offers catering, but you are able to use your own caterer for your event. I believe if you are having a night event, you must clear the premises by 11 pm. Overall, for the time spent here, I enjoyed this venue. My only side eye is the limited parking. And if you are attending at night, be extra careful... the lighting outside is not good at all. You may have trouble finding this location at night due to the low lighting. But as you are approaching your turn slow down because you can easily miss the turn from the main street. I actually had no clue this venue existed in the city. I'm glad I was able to experience it and celebrate with friends. Have fun and enjoy life :)

The facility is a good size and you have the option to only use half of the venue space. While there is no kitchen on site, you can bring in you own food and serving equipment to keep it hot. Great set up here. Parking is limited, but they work it out when larger events are held here. I will follow up in some weeks to give my full review once my event takes place. But again so far so good. The first impression is a lasting impression. Check out this venue if you are looking to host events in the Chesapeake area. Have fun and enjoy life :)

You can rent this place and use it for a variety of reasons. A get together with family, work meetings, and even a dedicated recording room to do a podcast. On every level there are different aspects to fit your personal or business needs. On the top floor there is an open rooftop with a full kitchen that can be rented out. This place is very clean and there is digital entry but for events there is always someone at entry to let you in and guide you to whatever event you are there for. If having an event in the Norfolk area this place is a definite option to consider.

In the auditorium, the seating was floor and stadium style, so you can see everything no matter where you sat. The auditorium space for the ceremony and the separate reception hall are both huge, and the kitchen access is super helpful. This is the second time we ( my wife and I ) have visited this establishment, the first for a wedding party and last night was a birthday dinner party. Each time was delightful and the building being well maintained. The structure is modern and up to date with all of the state of the arts equipment you may need to celebrate any function! I would recommend renting this place out, there's plenty of space to move around with plenty of parking out front as well as the back of the building.

They have a huge event space that you can rent out for anything, and it faces out onto the water which was a gorgeous view. I also did personal training here with Sierra Meacham and for anyone looking for a personal trainer but doesn't know where to start, like I was, I highly HIGHLY recommend reaching out to Sierra even just for a talk. She helped me personal train and helped me understand meal prepping and what to look for in my foods and what I need nutrients-wise for my goal as well as my weight goals! She kept pushing me to my PRs are farther:) She is so understanding and takes every problem I had whether it was with meal-prepping or weight-lifting posture hesitancies and how to overcome. Once inside there's other activities to pay for like the monster truck ride, petting farm, corn maze, and other kids activities. The hayride and pumpkin patch are both free. The hayride goes from the parking/monster truck area, to the market/restaurant area, to the pumpkin patch, and then back to the first spot of the parking/monster truck area. I found the fall festival to be really cute and great for photo ops. I really enjoyed each of the different sections of the farm. Decided to get on the monster truck before leaving (9/10); it was my first time riding in/on one and it was pretty fun. To ride was $10 per person. All of the staff members were friendly and made light conversation. I can def see myself returning especially since they also have a Christmas tree farm and a restaurant on site. My overall rate of experience : 9.5/10

Since the location is out of the way, the restaurant being open to the public as a regular restaurant didn't work out but now it is open for special events (you can find them on their website or Facebook page), parties or weddings. I miss being able to just go there for dinner, enjoy the view and the beautiful house but understand why they had to change the operation. I don't like that they tore down the detached Carriage House that was also on the property. The House is beautiful and unique with history. I am perennially disappointed with the golf course and I have been to only one function in the House since it was restored. The food was nothing remarkable and the service was even more non-descript. I don't know what they charge for functions there, but I thought that maybe they would have improved the surroundings a bit more to accommodate the status of the Obici House, the surrounding out buildings, clubhouse, 18th hole and driving range. It looks like they did the bare minimum to the house. I don't want to tarnish this review too much since I haven't been there for an official event within the last year. I noticed that they are having an open house soon and I plan to check it out and update my review. I would recommend that if the price seems to high for your event, then pass on Obici House until you start seeing better reviews on the service and food.
