They let me know they would pay more and I took them up on their offer. I went into carmax and started their process, it took about 45 minutes and the salesman really beat me up I felt like, hammered me about the cars miles, the condition, error codes etc.. The offer was low and after the barrage I told him let me go across the street and see what they offer. I drove literally across the street and met Mark and started the cash money process. After about 15 minutes he was back and said he liked the car and offered me $200 over the Carmax price, I told him another $200 and we had a deal and we shook on it and I couldnt have been happier. That jump across the street yielded me another 400$ and I got the check that day. Mark helped me unload my trunk and clean out the car AND drove me back home. I cant say enough nice things about CMC. One of the biggest selling points was that, despite being used, the car looked nearly brand new. Two days after purchasing it, we took the vehicle to our local mechanic for a multipoint inspection. CarMax told us that although they inspect vehicles transferred from other locations, they are not obligated to share the inspection results or disclose any maintenance or repairs performed before the sale. They couldn't even confirm whether the car had received an oil change. Our mechanic identified a few maintenance items that should have been addressed before the vehicle was sold. We brought the car and the report back to CarMax, and they agreed to complete the repairs at no cost. A few days later, when we returned to pick up the vehicle, we immediately noticed multiple scratches that were not there when we purchased it. Some were several inches long and had gone through the clear coat. A service technician acknowledged the damage and suggested it was probably caused by the car wash they use, as if this was a common occurrence. We were told the scratches could be touched up and would no longer be noticeable. After yet another trip to the dealership, the scratches were still obvious. We spoke with the service manager and requested compensation for the damage that occurred while the car was in their possession. They offered to explore repainting the affected panels, but admitted that matching the color perfectly would be difficult and could potentially make the appearance worse. They refused to provide any financial reimbursement, stating that because the vehicle was already used, they could buy it back and resell it for the same price we paid. CarMax acknowledged that the damage occurred while the vehicle was in their care, yet they refused to compensate us for the diminished value of the vehicle or for the repeated inconvenience of multiple trips back to the dealership. The entire experience made it clear that once the sale is completed, customer satisfaction takes a back seat. Save yourself the frustration and buy from a dealership that values accountability and customer service--not just closing a transaction.

We had driven by their lot a few months ago and saw that they had several but they were a bit out of our price range at the time. However, we knew that they were one of their fleet vehicles so I have been keeping an eye on them. Today was the day! My husband found the truck he had been looking for and it was in our price range. Our salesman, De' Ontre, was incredibly friendly and helpful and very knowledgeable. He was very personable and made us feel very comfortable. The process was very smooth and actually was a lot faster than I recall previous car buying experience is to be. When I called De' Ontre not five minutes before I knew the dealership was about to close, he did not rush me or seem annoyed and answered my question with no problems. From start to finish and even after we were home, he took great care to make sure that we were happy and comfortable with our purchase. We would definitely go back in the future when looking for another vehicle. Also, they were very safe and followed all the protocols to maintain a safe environment during this pandemic.

They told me my warranty was cancelled and have not provided much assistance to correct the error or a rental while I've been without a car for 3 weeks. I have a 6 month old at home and don't have the time or the resources to fight everyday with the staff about an issue enterprise caused. I don't blame the salesperson. I blame management for not following up or accommodating for the situation. They clearly don't care. Fuck this company. I'll make it my hobby to tell people how shitty this place is.
