If you need auto-body work or repairs done anywhere in or near the DMV, this is the BEST quality work money can buy and their attention to detail will make the end results impeccable and flawless. We've brought 3 different vehicles here in the past 6 months and every one of them was dropped off pretty banged up and received back like it was brand new from the car dealership. What's most noteworthy is that they won't try to nickel and dime you or trump up exorbitant costs and fees. Instead, they're honest and straightforward and operate with a level of integrity that is truly unmatched. Pricing here was very fair and reasonable considering they are hands down, the best body repair shop we've ever used. I visited many body shops, read countless reviews, looked through hundreds of pictures, and asked a ton of questions before deciding which one I wanted to have do some repairs at Christmas time and the owner of this shop is truly what set Carbody apart from all the others. He worked tirelessly with the insurance adjusters to ensure the repairs were able to be completed with all the best quality parts and not just refurbished ones as well as went above and beyond our expectations by handling the interactions between our insurance company and the rental car provider he already had a corporate relationship / account with. Going through an accident can be stressful and frustrating, but getting to experience the amazing services and repair work from Carbody collision center was a great highlight from it all and I can't say enough kind words about Bob Gload and his family owned and operated for over 30 years, business team. Introduction to why I was here: About to wrap up the 2nd of the two 2024 runner-ups now with C is for Carbody Collison Center, in alphabet series and will be getting to 2025 picks + runner-ups simultaneously. In October 2023 while on 495 on near the PG/Montgomery County border, hundreds of motorcyclists were causing chaos and very slow traffic on that Sunday gathering on the side blocking lane and lane splitting between the slow cars. This was insane and incredibly annoying. One of the motorcyclists rammed into my car while lane-splitting. He flipped his motorcycle. He picked up his motorcycle stumbled off to the side, and I tried to get the heck out of there as I didn't want to risk my safety with this awful motorcycle gang. Once I got to where I was going about 45 minutes later, I saw the damage, which wasn't horrible, but it wasn't just some minor nick. Visits here: That next day or two, I shopped around a bit in Laurel & North Laurel, and Carbody Collison had a better rate than the others. Also, Bob was kind and empathic to what happened. It wasn't urgent, but it could become a problem more so in winter because of snow/road salting as bottom part had to be replaced. I wanted to wait to see if insurance would go through, but they refused to cover it. Ultimately, that January 2024 we started the process, but it was going to take some time to get the part needed and would take them some time to do all the repairs. We agreed I'd drop the car off when I was going out of town; I rideshared to BWI airport. A week later I got back to town. Although they had agreed on finishing by then, there was something that was delayed even though we had agreed I come back that Friday afternoon, which I took a rideshare to get from my place to there, which isn't that far. Bob was nice enough to at least let me use a loaner car as I had a couple of other things I was doing, drove home, and then came back in the late afternoon. There was a bit of a tiff over windshield wipers they had replaced, which I thought was going to be cheaper, which I said I didn't agree to that much. He didn't want to continue to too much arguing and credited for either free or nominal price. I drove off to Columbia where I was going that evening. As I was driving back on MD-32 at US 1, I heard a loud noise like something was scrapping on the road. I got off at the next exit and went to the Savage MARC train station parking garage to see what was going on. I saw the piece hanging down. I snapped back in place, which got me home. But then the next day, I went down again, I stopped at a place in Laurel that I knew was open on Saturday. They did a temporary fix to get me through the weekend. I revisited on Monday, explained what happened. Bob apologized seeing what was going on; some screw was missing. He quickly got the staff to put back in while I waited there. In summary, Bob was overall nice & empathic except for a bit of heated discussion over price of an unrelated windshield wiper. I liked the price relative to other places (although I still didn't like as it wasn't cheap). They did a good job overall, but the missing bolt issue was annoying. They did a good job on timelines, but still a bit off on that, but at least got the loaner car for that afternoon as they were wrapping stuff up. This was mostly positive, and while there were some negatives, Bob did do a good job alleviating the negatives. read more

They told me my car was ready to pick up, I go and pick it up and my back license plates were stolen. Luckily they covered for that. But I think the car parts they used are for an older car model, my car looks lopsided. I was hit on the top right corner, there's a small gap between the door to the front, and it's not the same on the left side door. There is also a part on the left side that sticks out a bit. read more

Someone either hit or dropped something on the top of my trucks tailgate right where it bends in (the strogest part). II took it to Carbody for an estimate, Gino was very helpful he explained why PDR wasn't possible it would need bodywork. He worked up two estimates one doing bodywork the other replacing the tailgate. Body work being the cheapest I opted for that. They took the Tailgate off there and then so I still had a vehicle. They had it done in a couple of days, Gino even used his own truck to do a fit check. I would bet money no one could tell where the dent was. I was recently in an accident, and being new to the area, I was unsure where I could go to get high quality work at a fair price. I brought my car to Carbody Collision Center and was treated with the upmost care and respect. Bob takes a lot of pride in both his excellent work and offering a fair price for his work. He is very up front about how he arrives at the estimate and takes away egregious up charges on parts. Not only did Bob take care of the body damage, but he even cleaned out the mats in my driver and passenger seats, cleaned my windows, and buffed out a few other scratches away from the main area simply because he is a great man and takes pride in his work. I needed to change my license plates but the screws became rusted over the years and stuck. A few mechanics I went to before weren't much help until I came to Bob. He's been the owner of Carbody Collision for over 30 years. Bob was able to see me the same day I called, he kindly changed my plates for me, fixed a loose bumper I've had for years and even cleaned my doggy headlights. And he did it all with no charge! Bob proved to be very knowledgeable at what he does, down to the nuts and bolts of a car. His office staff was also very helpful and friendly. Imagine you've got 250 miles ahead of you and suddenly a metal sheet from the underbelly of your car drops and drags as you zoom up the highway going 75 MPH. Bob is awesome. My car was never the same after one of my wheels got caught on a storm drain. I went through at least 3 different shops over a couple years and the mechanics kept telling me that there was nothing they could do. I have been using Carbody Collision Center for several years and their work is always excellent. They will work with your insurance company to insure that your vehicle is repaired to their exacting standards. There were electronic issues with my vehicle after an accident and, although they had completed the body repairs, they continued to work with me until the electronic issue was identified and corrected. I have had to ask them to expedite a repair and they always come through for me. I cannot say enough good things about them. If you need a vehicle repair, this is the place to go. read more

I had my Jaguar XKR repaired by Bob and I cannot express how incredible the work he did on my car. Showroom quality work !!! My car is metallic dark blue which is a tricky color to deal with , but the work that was done is perfect . he also buffed out and detailed the car making it perfect all around. I had a small dent right above one of the wheels of my car and went to Carbody to have it fixed. Talked to Bob who was really pleasant to talk to and on the day of the scheduled repair he even dropped me off and picked me up from my house to save me some money from having to get a taxi cab (I live a few miles away from their shop). The Paintless Dent Removal tech that they called in did a fabulous job on removing the dent despite it being at a difficult location. You really can't tell that a dent was ever there!
