This is the 3rd year we've used WebbTrans for the Holiday House Tour in Newburyport. ALWAYS a great experience!!! After looking at recent reviews on Google, I was dumbfounded at some of the comments that claimed that this company used vehicles with suspended registrations to transport people. After an airport trip this past week, I took the time to look it up on MASS RMV after getting the license plate off the app I used for my trip. And to my absolute shock I see that the Aviator that was used to drive me not only had a revoked registration, it had NO CAR INSURANCE!! John Webb ignores all phone calls and will give you the run around and every excuse if you can get a hold of him.I reported this company and I have no idea how they are in business, they need to be closed for good! Unfortunately, we had a negative experience with Webb Transportation and I am sharing that here, to hopefully help someone else avoid the same situation. During the planning process, John was kind and helpful. We talked on the phone and emailed numerous times. My husband and I needed 2 buses and 2 limos for our wedding day - 1 limo for the bridal party and 1 limo for the groom's party. We decided to take advantage of the discount for paying 100% up front, and thus paid for all 4 vehicles. John and I went over the timeline, schedule, and details numerous times via email and phone calls. An important note, we needed two limos because both sides of the wedding party needed to arrive separately about 30 minutes a part, which would have been impossible to do with just one limo. A few weeks before the wedding, we realized we needed another bus for our guests. Unfortunately, there were none available but we knew this was our fault for waiting. John was accommodating and explained that the 2 buses could do multiple trips, which would be perfect. This was also put in writing. We shared this information with our guests. On the day of the wedding, when the first limo showed up for the bridal party, the driver informed me that he would be late picking up the groomsmen. I told him this would not be an issue since we have two limos. He told me he was the only limo and was told to do both trips. He said he had no further information because he didn't work for John, and was contracted out. He said John hadn't been answering his phone calls. I immediately called John, and was told that he would resolve it. I never got a phone call back and things were never resolved. As a result, my husband and half his wedding party were forced to drive to the venue, while the other half waited for the limo and was late for pictures. In addition, I found out later that the shuttle drivers were extremely rude to the guests and refused to do multiple trips until the buses were full, which didn't happen until the end of the night. People were sitting on the shuttle waiting for 30-45 plus minutes. Some decided to uber back to the hotel. A few days after the wedding, I reached out to John explaining the issues. I asked, at the very least, for a refund on the 2nd limo, since we paid almost $800 for a vehicle that never showed up. It seems that there never was a second limo, despite us fully paying for it months ago and having it in our signed contract. John never responded to me. I'm accepting that we lost the money, but I think this whole situation was extremely unprofessional and unfair. Maybe a refund is out of the question, but a simple acknowledgment and apology would have been greatly appreciated. I'm sharing our experience in the hopes that our story will help someone else and to warn people to think twice before using this company. read more

It is unconscionable that a transportation company would also not follow up and reach out to apologize or issue a refund, now almost two weeks following the no show. I would not count on this company for your transportation needs, especially if it is an important event such as a wedding or a funeral. I'd give the company 0 stars if it were an option. read more

DO NOT USE!! They didn't show up and I never got a refund. This business is a complete disappointment, and potentially a scam. I booked them for my wedding, and the driver never showed up to bring my guests from the hotel to the venue. Day of, their only offer was to get a new driver 30 mins out -- arriving after the wedding was supposed to start. The situation caused my entire event to start 45 minutes late as all of my guests requested Ubers or got in their cars. After the fact, I was promised a refund and they were "devastated and so sorry," which I now know to be a lie. For the next several months I chased the owner, John, down as I had to call 2-3 times a week attempting to get him, or anyone, on the phone. If I was lucky enough to have someone answer, his staff was apologetic but assured me only John could discuss refunds. Never once was I called back proactively. Over the course of 8 months, I spoke to John maybe 10 times. Each time, there was a new excuse as to why I didn't get a refund. They switched banks, the check is lost in mail, they had a fraud issue, his staff is incompetent, etc. After a while it was clear I was being lied to but I didn't want to give up as I deserved a refund. However, to date I never saw my money again for a service I booked and did not receive. I don't understand how their customer service can be so bad, and how they can run a business where no one answers the phone. Avoid at all costs. read more

It came to my attention this week that John Webb has been taking advantage of my mother, who is older, and not returning any of her calls or emails after overcharging her credit card by $500 back in May. The business charged my mom for the initial deposit and then did not subtract it when charging her the total amount. After my mom pointed this out to them they said they would fix it but have now been ignoring her for months. I myself called multiple times after finding this out only to be told by staff that they will "pass the message along" and have received no call back. This is a fraudulent business that has no respect for their customers. read more

We were a party of 9 people including 2 young children with a late evening Logan pickup. We were supposed to be picked up by a small bus at the terminal. Instead, we were picked up by 2 cars that were parked in Central Parking at the Limo lot. There was no communication about the change in transportation or pickup location. After we had our luggage, we went outside looking for the bus. Finally, after several failed attempts to contact someone, one of the drivers came over and told us go to the Limo lot. This meant going back inside the terminal, taking 2 elevators and a skywalk to the Central Parking lot. We needed 2 luggage carts and carried an asleep 4-year-old. The cars were cramped for 2 of the passengers and the bags got split up. Our driver on the way to Beverly went through one red light and was going over 80 mph on Route 1. (Our driver on the way to the airport also was going over 80 mph and tailgating). Another member of our party sent an email to the owner of the company stating our dissatisfaction and never heard back. read more

We were a group of 12 people and there were lots of questions and Dan answered them all promptly and with care. We were so excited to be upgraded to a larger more luxurious vehicle. BRIDES BEWARE!! We booked Webb trans about 6 months prior to our recent wedding based on recs from our venue. They seemed great at first. Very professional and communicative. We spoke with them multiple times in advance and felt like everything was set. Fast forward to our wedding day....and they sent the bus to THE WRONG HOTEL. People in the wedding had no way of getting to the venue. This was not a big wedding....only 80 people in total....and they still couldn't manage to show up at the correct hotel. Nearly ruined our wedding! Luckily our guests were able to scramble and come up with Ubers etc at the last minute, but our sunset ceremony ended up being delayed waiting for our guests to arrive. They haven't reimbursed us or done anything to correct this huge mistake. Would not recommend if you're getting married on the North Shore. read more

Due to the US Open, graduations, etc. our normal transport companies could not manage the short term bookings. I contacted Webb on a recommendation from my venue. They responded to my email quickly. I needed 4 vehicles on 3 different days, including motor coaches and minivans. They found a way to accommodate my group's needs short term and did so pleasantly and for a competitive price. Booked Webb Transportation a year ago for our wedding last weekend. We had scheduled them for a rolling transportation schedule from 9:30-12:30, back and forth from the hotel to the event space. When I found out when the band was ending for the night, I called Webb to ask for them to arrive promptly at 11pm to take people back to the hotel so they wouldn't be waiting around after the band finished. I spoke to a LOVELY lady on the phone who said that FOR SURE the bus would be there at 11pm, after making the first trip back and forth. Lo and behold, the band ends at 11, no bus to be found. I (the bride) waited until 11:25 and then called Webb myself. I was afraid they had forgotten to come get us. The man I spoke to on the phone offered to call the bus driver but offered no apologies about the miscommunication. He only said, "it's a 45 minute one-leg trip" which is completely false. It's 50 minutes ROUND-TRIP. Anyway, we had a great night but it was unfortunate that it ended on that note. I will not be recommending Webb to anyone in the future. read more

Webb Transportation Services is awesome. I can't say enough good things about our experience. For our recent trip to Mexico, my wife tasked me with finding a car service to bring us to Logan, and back home a week later. I was a bit worried, as our last experience with a car service (see my other Yelp review for Elite Worldwide) was a complete and total nightmare. Booking was simple - I filled out a quote form online, got a call back the next day, and prices were very reasonable. The person taking my booking info even corrected me on my flight home arrival time (I accidentally provided a pickup time of our connection flight in Charlotte, not the landing time in Boston) - they check the flight info you provide and don't just write it down and toss it somewhere! Webb even keeps tabs on your flight to make sure they are on time to pick you up! Bernie, our driver both times, was really great. He was super friendly and clearly on top of things. Our apartment can be a bit hard to find - when we mentioned how surprised we were that he was waiting out front without calling to confirm the location first, his response proved to us how seriously Webb takes their job. "I looked around and noticed that there was only one place around here with the lights on, it had to be you" said Bernie with a smile at 5 o'clock in the morning. Likewise, upon our return back to Logan - the first message I had on my phone was a text from Bernie saying "welcome back to Boston, I'll be at the gate waiting once you pick up your bags". The car that we traveled in both times was a nice Cadillac sedan, shiny on the outside and clearly taken very good care of on the inside. "How was the trip?" Bernie says while handing each of us a water and getting ready to take us home. All of these little things don't sound like much - but they really do add up. Especially after being treated so poorly during our last experience with a clueless car service. My wife and I will be sure to use Webb in the future for any of our transportation services needs. I have been traveling for years, and have found a variety of different ways to get to the airport. Each time I travel brings a different set of requirements/demands based on how many days I'm traveling for. Sometimes it's easiest to just park at the airport garage or Pre-Flight Shuttle if you're only traveling for a few days, but I'd never before used a limo service. After my past experience, I feel very differently about how I will get to the airport in the future. I live in Beverly, and for a one way ride in a towncar it was very reasonable ($90) and for an SUV a little more expensive ($150), but totally worth it as I traveled for over a week and didn't want my car to remain at the airport during that time. The drivers were PROMPT, COURTEOUS, and even RESPECTFUL TO OUR FLIGHT DELAYS UPON ARRIVAL. Traveling is stressful enough, why add the additional stress of fighting traffic, directions, and parking instructions to some random spot, only to forget where it was by the time you've returned. They even have an automated system that monitors the status of your flight to prepare for your arrival so that you don't have to worry. Just get out of your car and look for the sign with your name on it and before you know it, you're home. I will definitely use them again in the near future. read more

Doesn't every girl dream of being driven to the church to marry the man of her dreams in a maroon Ford?? Yeah, not exactly, but that is what happened when I booked a car with Webb Transportation. Yes, this really happened. It was a beautiful spring day. As planned, I emerged from the Boston Park Plaza all decked out in my wedding dress, ready for the biggest moment of my life. I stood there looking around for the grey Cadillac DTS that I reserved. I didn't see it, though I had been alerted that my car was there. After a moment, a man approached (clad in a sweater and khakis). "Your car is this way", he said, and led me over to a maroon Ford sedan. I stopped, thinking there was some mistake. "What the f#&k is this?!?!", I demanded. He hemmed and hawed, eventually eeking out something like "I didn't know this was for a wedding". Oh, then that's understandable. No problem. I mean, I'm sure that no one else would be upset when they book AND CONFIRM a Cadillac and a Ford shows up. I'm sure that people are generally willing to pay $78 to be driven a mile in an economy car. I mean why pay $10 for a cab when you could ride around town in a maroon Ford?!? A Ford is a perfectly reasonable substitution for a luxury sedan like a Cadillac. Alas, my groom awaited and my options were limited at that point, so I loaded my big white dress into the back seat of the Ford and headed off to the church. Upon arrival, I quickly put a stop to my photographer taking pictures of me getting out of the car. I'm sure he got some good ones of me yelling at him to stop. Fortunately, the rest of my day went fairly smoothly and I'm now a very happily married woman. And I suppose the upside of all of this is I have a ridiculous story to tell for years to come. Oh, I forgot to mention that the driver had said I wouldn't be charged, but two weeks later, I was. I'm still waiting for them to refund my money. So would I recommend Webb Transportation? Um... Friends of mine who I hadn't seen in over 30 years were attending a conference in Boston. I wanted to show them around town and take them out for a nice dinner so I had Webb Transportation provide a limo for the evening. The car showed up early, the driver was extremely courteous and professional and the car itself was immaculate. We picked up my friends in Boston, drove to the North End for dinner, dropped my friends back at their hotel and came home to Peabody. Not only were my friends completely flabbergasted but my wife and I were bowled over by the service provided by Webb Transportation. As far as I'm concerned, there is NO OTHER transportation company. Unbelievable... what an amazing experience we recently had with Webb Transportation. I called a few months in advance to schedule a limo for my best friends Bachelorette Party. Bernie was FANTASTIC at meeting all my requests, following up with quotes and verification emails. He called me the day before to confirm and put my mind at ease that there would be no issues. The big day finally came and I would give 10 stars if I could. We had the best driver in the world - Leo and the night was FLAWLESS. I even left my phone in the limo and Leo got in touch w/ my friends the next day and made sure I got it back. Great job Webb - I will use you again and again for any transportation needs. read more
