I knew I wanted to get my hair done but I admit; I was not sure about how things would really turn out. Ladies you know how it is when you go somewhere you've never been. I didn't even have a reference from anyone. I called two days before spoke with Christine and I was very impressed after hanging up the phone. I walked in her shop and immediately felt at ease. I got a full sew in with lace closure. I have had my hair done by several different people in the past due to moving around a lot and am very pleased with Christine. The appointment started right on time and her shop is clean, bright and welcoming. She was very knowledgable about healthy hair and scalp which is appreciated. The braids are flat and don't change your head shape (it's happened to me with other people, some of y'all might know what I mean!). One thing I really appreciate is that the braids are not too tight, especially on my edges. That said the tracks lay flat and feels very secure. The front lace closure lays perfectly flat and blends well with my natural hairline. About week later a had a slight concern about a part of my hair that I pulled on washing and Christine was quick to address it. I am beyond pleased with her prompt professional response, ability to see me and solution! To me it's super important for a stylist to follow through on their work and she did! "The best sew-in weave and cut I ever had! I was looking for a new hairdresser and based on the Yelp reviews, I tried the Weave Salon. I was very impressed with Christine's professionalism and her personal concern about the condition of my hair. She meticulously conditioned my hair using a steam dryer prior to installing the weave. Unlike many hairdressers, she offers advice about how to care for your hair and what products to use. Finally, Christine skillfully cuts your hair into your preferred style. In my case, Christine cut my hair giving me a wrap-up-go bob style---no more spending 20 minutes with the curling iron in the morning. I was really satisfied with my results! In response to Edidiong's review; I would like to clarify her comments. When Ms. D came in; she didn't have a scheduled appointment. She was a walk-in which I accepted. I was in the middle of doing another client's hair. Once I was finished with my other client; I started on Ms. D's hair service. I was very polite and offered her refreshments & conversation and she declined. I completed Ms. D's weave and was presented a yelp coupon. I was taken aback because I was unaware that my services were being paid by a coupon and that's when I inquired about payment for my services. Ms. D advised me the coupon was my payment. I was not happy about this and told Ms. D to not return to my shop. It took three weeks ti get paid for services I provided to Ms. D. At that time, she proceeded to post a review about my services in a negative light. I am very professional and personable with all my clients. I have never had a dissatisfied client until Ms. D's comment. I wrote this review in May but yelp wouldn't let me post it....Let me start by saying that Christine is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She really cares about you as a person and she cares about your hair. She is also a walking miracle let me tell you why...after being turned away from a salon that I have been going to for a whole year (due to their lack of customer service and all around know how) I found Christine online and I'm glad I did. I called her and she was willing to take me even though I called at the last minute. I arrived about 45 minutes later. As soon as I arrived, she took me to her suite and began doing my hair. It only took her two hours from start to finish (my hair was already clean and dry). Every step of my sew in was excellent from the braids, to the install, and finally the style. I will NOT go back to the other salon as I have found a nice, professional, and friendly stylist that cares about the overall well being of my hair. Firstly, Christine is the sweetest, kindest person. She is always professional and listens to exactly how I want my hair. I have had problems in the past with hairstylists not listening to me, or taking direction and I always leave unhappy, but with Christine i am the happiest I have ever been with my hair. I was coming in for a conference from out of town and came upon the website for weave salon. I was impressed by the video that showed the actual technique so I decided to try this because I liked the work I saw. I had to call several times because my plans were changing due to the weather. Christine the hair stylist was always professional and said she could take me right away. She would be there all night if she had to. I was glad I chose to come to her. She was very knowledgeable about hair and gave me some great pointers. I have never gotten a sew in so nicely done and so quick. This included her taking out my old sew in, treatment and hair a full sew in. I bought the hair from her and she had two kinds for me to choose from. I chose the lower price bundle but it was still excellent quality hair. I was extremely pleased with the service and speed. I'm currently a student at the University of Maryland and before I came down for my second semester I got a horrible hairstyle. Christine was so nice and so available to fix my hair within a few hours and it looks amazing. She is so sweet and really helps her customers. She suggested very good hair and I don't regret coming to her. I'm so happy I found her when I did. I will definitely be returning. The space that she works in Is very interesting and she says she works until she can't anymore. Even though on the phone she'll say her last customer is scheduled for 6 if you need her at 7:30 she'll definitely do your hair. She doesn't like turning customers down. She does hair by appointment but she also accepts walk ins as long as you give her a call first. I found Weave Salon on Google, had a chance to visit the website and checked out the Yelp reviews. I was pretty pleased with what I found and decided to go for it. I was scheduled to arrive at 9AM to begin my installation. Unfortunately the owner, Christine, was over an hour late. She was very apologetic upon arrival and we started right away. Christine is personable, professional and knowledgeable about her craft. I was VERY pleased with the results. This was hands down the most natural looking installation that I have ever had. Time and attention with given every step of the way. I will now be a dedicated customer. I have got to say, I am a fan! Before going to see Christine at the Weave Salon in Hyattsville, I had a very bad experience the week before at a different location and ended up having to pull that weave out and find someone new a week later. That's how I stumbled onto Christine. She was very comforting and understanding over the phone and was willing to meet with me at 6am the next day. From the moment I walked into the salon, she was very professional and friendly. I've been seeing Christine for about a year now. At my first appointment I was so worried because I had a pixie cut that I'd just started growing out and I didnt think the back was long enough, plus it had been ages since I had a weave. I recently had an an appointment with Christine and let me tell you,.... She did a great job with my hair. I have natural hair and the products she used on my hair made it so soft to the touch. I am very tender headed so that helped out a lot. Once done blow drying my hair she started to prepare my hair for braiding, again she was very gentle with braiding my hair. I called her and she fit me in that day. When Iarrived she shook my hand and was extremely pleasant .
