I never used them. I tried for weeks to get an appointment for someone to come out to our home…read more After, I was supposed to go to their showroom to look at things and discuss design. The designer's first available appointment was three weeks out. Okay, that's fine, I can wait. The day of her appointment--she canceled on me saying she was sick. She never sent anyone to reschedule or even told her company. I checked in after a week to reschedule. She said she was still out. Nothing else. No backup person. After the third week I called the company. They didn't even know about me, my appointment etc. They also said there's no one else to help me. They can forward me to the manager but I basically just need to wait for Sena to come back. Terrible customer service. Unreliable. I chose to take my business elsewhere. If a company is 100% reliant on one designer --and doesn't have a backup to help customers -- I can't imagine if I did do business with them and something happened that needed mediation. Who do you go to? Who is the next person to step in? Basically you just wait...I support smaller businesses. If they called me to explain and kept in communication it would have been better. But when i called they didn't even know about my appointment.

Phenomenal work!…read more AVC Home Improvement fully renovated our family room full bathroom. It was a full gut -- complete renovation with new everything: lighting, heated flooring, vanity, tub with handheld shower, and more. They were exceptionally knowledgeable, courteous, and accommodating. To prevent the family room from getting dirty, they covered the floors and furniture in the entire family room. They always came on time and were incredibly diligent in their work. What I especially liked about AVC Home Improvement is that they are the ones who are actually do all the work. They are not a company who contract out their work. We had additional requests during the renovation of our full bathroom: adding lighting for the tub/shower area, installing grab bars and heated flooring. AVC didn't hesitate to accommodate our requests. They also installed a new utility room sink for the washing machine, and relocated the washing machine so that it is now next to the dryer. That makes it so much easier for us. Their recommendations for the electrician and countertop people were also exceptional. I would not hesitate to use ACV Home Improvement for any future renovations, and happily recommend their services to others.

Their crews worked diligently through all kinds of weather always considering our comfort while we continued to live in the house during construction. Their timing was pretty much on the mark and making numerous change requests from us went smoothly. One has to remember that nature does often get in the way of schedules! Good project scope/ budget control. Lead carpenters are a key position and all three have done an excellent job executing project, meeting schedule, and insuring homeowner needs/issues met/resolved. Liked the design process to define what to build. Good Schroeder/ owner interactions to get customer needs/wants. Selection coordinator for kitchen fixtures and cabinets, lighting, plumbing was excellent help. Subcontractors all very good and we have used them separately outside the projects. Great to have high quality suppliers and subcontractors. Overall, the it design and build work process they use is well honed. There are always punch list items to complete and resolve. Schroeders have been very good in this area. Schroder Design Build continues to evolve and so do their subcontractors as they continue to ask for nothing but the best work for their clients. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

We replaced our old rotting deck with a beautiful new room addition, designed by WISA, with a…read moresliding door and a side exit that even included a small full bathroom and closet (features that other companies told us would not be possible within the same amount of existing space that we had to work with). WISA's team was wonderful. Everyone did an expert job -- from digging the foundation (lots and lots of dirt needed to be removed!) to extraordinary architectural planning of the project to painstaking attention to every small detail that accentuated the beauty of this space. We especially like that we saw the same team members on a consistent basis (no outsourcing of labor). Everyone arrived on time for the workday and put in their full effort all day long, six days a week -- the excavators, foundation builders, plumbers, electricians, HVAC technicians, roofing and siding specialists, and, indeed, the entire highly skilled workforce. They found solutions to any and every issue that sometimes cropped up, as to be expected in a large, involved project of this magnitude. The design and project planning team, along with the architect and company heads, were so very helpful in bringing our vision to life. We even went ahead and had old popcorn ceiling removed from our existing living room, dining room, and kitchen and had all those walls and ceilings painted to match our new room addition and had recessed lighting installed in those areas, too (our older home did not have any existing ceiling lighting in our living room) -- so a lot of expert wiring was required to accomplish all this. Additionally, we had WISA install electrical power and lighting to our shed while they were working on all of the other wiring installation work. Our new extension with plenty of large windows to enjoy our treed back yard just adds so much more to the enjoyment of this beautiful extra space. Our back yard was so sloped previously that we couldn't fully use a lot of this additional area effectively before. The new flooring was hand-picked and hand-stained to very closely match our existing floor that this tied into. We now have extra room for family and guests to stay. Not only did the room design and the new large side deck exceed our expectations, instead of renovating an older bathroom as we had planned to do, we decided to go ahead with having a lovely retaining wall and matching pavers installed to fully enhance our new space. This is the first time we've ever had a level pathway across our backyard. It makes everything so much easier! This also corrected previous poor drainage problems affecting our yard, so that was an unexpected added bonus. Our addition turned out better than we could ever have imagined and at a far better price than several quotes we received from other companies. Our initial quote from WISA was easily only half the cost of the quotes from other home improvement companies we contacted. Also, the WISA showroom has just as much selection of products as other companies do; and they will go above and beyond to help you find just the right flooring, tiling, bathroom fixtures, and other options even beyond what they carry in their large onsite showroom. From initial design, to pulling permits, to their advanced experience in coordinating and carrying out plans in compliance with homeowner association (HOA) approval, to final completion of a beautifully constructed new room, deck, and backyard retention wall and paver layout, they are truly top-notch! We are beyond thrilled with our new space and would highly consider WISA for any other projects - like those bathroom renovations - that we plan to tackle in the future! In fact, we have already recommended them to others, as well. This was such a wise decision and a wonderful investment in both the beauty and value of our home! Our room addition is now like a bit of a vacation retreat!

Then they remodeled our dated family room with new tiles, textures, colors, and masterful carpentry. This was followed by a complete transformation of the kitchen (flooring, appliances, unique led lighting, cabinets, personalized work island). Simultaneously, they converted a seldom-used mudroom into a popular coffee bar with a customized door. Next month, WISA will completely rebuild the master bedroom closet. Every one of these construction projects has been, and will be, completed to a finish level that exceeds our expectations and, as important, without having to vacate our home. WISA employs craft-persons, not "day laborers," so we know these talented men and women by name. That brings a level of mutual respect and confidence that seems to be frequently missing today. Having a considerable amount of experience, we can confidently say that you can find companies that are less expensive, but you will never find one better than WISA SOLUTIONS.
