However, as I was leaving today, I noticed I hadn't received a receipt so I asked for one. When I got to my car and reviewed it, I saw I had been charged an extra $10 for a "nail fix." That was confusing to me because I came in for a builder gel set on my real nails and they had done my previous set as well. I went back inside to ask about it and was told by the manager that the charge was because I had partially removed the gel from two of my nails. I explained that the gel had started peeling after two weeks, so I removed part of it myself this morning knowing I was going to come get them fixed after work today. My main concern is not necessarily the $10 itself, but the lack of transparency. Three different employees assisted me today between my pedicure and gel set and at no point was I informed there would be an additional charge. When I asked why no one thought to alert me, I was told they "thought I knew." Very odd response for it only being my 3rd time. I was initially excited to find a new nail salon that provided good service and transparent pricing, but adding charges without communicating them beforehand (and then making excuses for the lack of communication) makes me reconsider returning

I showed the nail technician a photo of red chrome nails with the middle two nails having red French tips, which would be my Valentine's Day nails. She told me she could do it. I even left the photo up on my phone for some time so that she can reference it, if needed. As I saw her painting the red French tips, I informed her that they were a different shade of red from the other nails. She showed me the two products (gel and powder) and that they are the same shade number. I proceeded to let her finish as I thought that the end results may be different. It was not. She then added the "chrome" finish. I told her that it wasn't shiny at all nor looked like chrome and had a pearlescent finish instead. She told me that it was very popular with clients. She absolutely disregarded what I was saying to her. She also cut my skin while running the drill alongside my cuticles. At this point, the manager entered the conversation. I showed him the picture and he told me that the photos found online for inspiration "all have filters on them." He pretty much sided with the technician and saw no wrong. They both then told me to go wash my hands and see how the nails look in the sun. I did so and saw no difference from when I was seated at my chair. I was baffled that the manager could not see what was wrong. He did not offer to rectify the situation. I even asked for another type of coat that would make my nails shiny. They could not offer that to me for whatever reason. I clearly walked out with hideous nails. Even if I find someone who can replicate a photo here, the management alone would be reason not to go here. I paid for my service here out of respect for their time, but will not be returning and I urge others to do the same. Please see the photos I have provided.

First impressions, I thought the salon was clean and rather small. They had 4 techs working and they were all busy when I came in but I didn't mind waiting. I showed my nail tech an inspo pic and let her know that I wanted square round nails and she got to work as soon as she was free. When she was working on my nails, another customer came in asking to get her eyebrows waxed. My nail tech stopped mid service when she was working on my nails to wax her eyebrows. I am patient so again, I didn't mind waiting however I could tell that the tech felt rushed and stressed. I'm not sure if this is the norm here but the tech only trimmed my nails before applying the dip powder but did not clean up my cuticles or trim any hangnails. Also, when she was filing down the dip, she cut 3 of my fingers which stung. I understand that she had another customer waiting on her but I don't think it was appropriate for her to rush through my service.

I did a chrome color - pricing was not disclosed prior to me choosing the Chrome either (Beware any add-on is charged. You are basically nickel and dimmed for every choice. My pedicure became an easy $100. Onto the quality of my nails. The quality was horrendous. The tech did not go all the way down to the cuticles so my fresh nails with a brand "new set" (I don't use tips and still got charged for a full set ) it looked like they were already a week old. After having the tech redo them to fix her mistake, they still look like shit. The tips of my nails are missing chunks of chrome. I'm not willing to walk back in there because this manicure and pedicure became an easy $215. I have never in my life paid that much for a simple pedicure and nail set. We came to Houston to try something new and expected it to be a little pricier, but I did not expect to give away my first born child. Nor did I expect to leave completely unsatisfied.

I was simply trying to ask a few questions about their manicure and French tip services before booking. Unfortunately, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude and made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience. Before I was even finished, she hung up on me without asking if I had any other questions. I called back thinking the call had dropped and explained that I was still talking when it ended. She responded in a frustrated tone, "Yes ma'am, your appointment is booked." I understand that people can be busy, but there is absolutely no reason to treat a potential first-time customer this way. A simple "Is there anything else I can help you with?" would have taken a few seconds. Needless to say, I will be taking my business somewhere else. If this is how potential new customers are treated over the phone, I can only imagine what the in-person experience would be like. I wanted a natural base with the polish I picked out but I was asked so many questions that felt like they were directing me to choose a white background. Fine. But when she put POLY GEL on my nails instead of builder gel, my mind was blown. These are 2 completely different products. I let it go bc again, I wanted to relax before vacation. My pedicure was okay. Before she even put the top coat on, I could see a missed spot on my toes bc there was no dry time between coats. Fresh "builder gel" set and pedicure with tip came out to ~$130. I only returned a second time out of sheer curiosity bc I wanted to see how they would do a BUILDER GEL refill on a POLY GEL set. But they used poly gel again. I wanted this simple line work design. Idk how much they charged bc I wasn't told and their receipts are not itemized. There is also no pricing list / menu available to customers. A refill with the design and tip came out to $115. I cannot bring myself to come back to this salon. There's no confirmation of pricing, I asked for a specific service and received the wrong product. Everyone I've interacted with there is friendly and it's a pretty salon but there's a lack of transparency that I can't get on board with.
