L.A Laser is a cozy little clinic tucked away in Kaneohe. The whole office is bright and welcoming as you enter and are greeted at the front desk. If you are a new patient, it's best to arrive early to fill out some very extensive paperwork. I love how thorough they are with all the details covered. Everything is very clean, with new drapes and gowns. The staff wears gloves and masks, which is extremely crucial when operating during a pandemic. Tashena is absolutely amazing. Extremely personable. She's so quick, yet is sure to reach as much surface area as possible. She also makes sure you are comfortable with the laser settings. Not too familiar with this city, but using your google or Waze maps location is easy to find! Parking is a little tricky. Their sign isn't too big, or it may be a hit or miss. Once you get to the location via the google/Waze app, you'll see a grey fence and their logo sign. Turn right on the gate, and your parking will be on the second right turn--either park inside the building (limited parking) or outside the building. Usually, the times we go, the parking wasn't a problem. (10 am-12 pm). The process to Sign in: They will communicate with you via text message about the instructions and a survey questionnaire that you'll need to fill about some common COVID questions. Usually, they will send it to you two days before your appointment date. Everything was great up until after my appointment with Jacey. I found out that she shared information about me and my appointment with someone outside of work. If I'm not mistaken there are hipaa laws about that. I will never go again because of that. I am not going by my real name because I do not want more of my name and personal info out there. Jacey did in-fact share about my appointment outside of work. This person knew I went to her and what I got done. This is very bad business practice. I've been going here for a couple of months now and let me just start off by saying, I love it here! Thank you Deedra for being so awesome! My first laser hair removal was nerve wrecking! I was so scared because I didn't know what to expect, and how the laser was going to feel. I've been waxing for a really long time but I decided to try laser hair removal because my coworker was so happy with her results from this place. Deedra was great in explaining everything, procedure, what to expect, pain scale, and aftercare. I had a bunch of questions with aftercare because of course, who wants ingrown hair? NOT ME! Doing my underarm, it took literally maybe 5 mins. It was so fast, and painless! Deedra wasn't joking when she said: "the paperwork takes longer". My second session, we went a bit stronger but it wasn't so bad- just like the first session, it was super fast. After treatment, she applies aloe and it makes that "sunburn/itchiness" feeling better. What got me hooked was from my FIRST session. I saw results after the hair started to fall off. The new hair that grew back was sparse on both underarms! I was so amazed by my results! I absolutely love coming to LA laser. When I was trying to find a laser tech, I originally wanted to find someone in town because there's where I'm closer to, but when I got referred here, I could tell why all my friends go there. Very clean area located on the second floor. When you get there the girl checks you in. You're probably in there for like 30 minutes max depending on what area you're getting laser. If you're doing a bigger area such as your legs, it may take longer. They have a 6 month program where you pay $99 each time for $6 months. This is a pretty good deal. I've been to other laser salons and the price doesn't get better than that (esp in Hawaii). You can also do a 12 month contract as well. $99 special allows you to change the areas you are being treated. Which is awesome because who doesn't like options? You can chose between 1 medium area & 2 small areas, 1 large area, 3 small areas, or 2 medium areas. After treatment hairs will fall out about a week after and doesn't grow back as much goal is to eventually be a as smooth as a babies bum haha y'all feel me I use to go to another laser removal place and it wasn't anything near the price. This place is so clean and inviting. The decor is nice. The reception are is small and cozy. There is various types of music playing in the background every time I go. The receptionist and technicians are very nice. They are generally on schedule with the appointments. The laser is just warm but definitely make sure you get it with the cooling mist operational. I had a treatment with and without it and it definitely makes a difference! I just feels like light pricks coupled with a warm sensation. They have packages running all the time on their Facebook page. And you can trial before you commit. I've only had 3 sessions so far with Shauna & I LOVE IT. After one session, my hair was noticeably thinner, growing back slower, & some hair didn't even grow back at all. ONE SESSION at the lowest setting! It also lightens your skin! Great for ladies who have insecurities about darker underarms. I went into LA lazer because a friend of mine told me she has had her underarms done here. I got the Brazilian and under arm treatment package. I have been getting my brazillian Wax done for the past 7 to 8 years and wanted to try giving a Lazer treatment a try. I've been following LA Laser Hair Removal for quite some time now and after hearing such good things about them. It took a few testimonies from my friends who has seen them to finally build up the courage to schedule an appt. It was all in perfect timing, cause they had a special promo going on for our underarm and lip waxed for $50. I always went to get both my lip and underarm waxed in the past, so I thought it was finally time to find another solution. Especially with the fact of having two kids, I just didn't have the time to up keep with all the maintenance. They're located in Kaneohe, behind the building that has Sprint on the corner. They have a small sign to show you where their parking is located and there were many open stalls to choose from. You open the door to their cutesy location with a small desk and waiting area. Bree was right at their front desk to greet you. Checking in was easy, it was the paperwork that took the longest, which is why they ask for you to come in 15mins prior to your appt time. After filling out my paperwork, Shauna brought me to one of their rooms and went over everything with me. After doing so, we proceeded to my first treatment. I ain't gonna lie and say that I wasn't scared cause come on now, it's laser. Shauna started me on their lowest setting, to see how I would react to it. We started to talk about our kiddos and next thing you know, I was done..not even five minutes! It was painless - to me it felt like cold water being sprayed on at a high pressure. Shana was like, "girl, we're going at a higher setting next time cause you didn't turn red, nothing!" Coming from someone that started from shaving...I thought getting brazilian waxed all the time was the BEST THING EVER. I always loved getting waxed because of the results, I even waxed my own armpits at home. But after I gave birth to my 2nd baby, maintenance of going to get brazilian waxed all the time wasn't on my agenda lol. I decided to try out laser hair removal since the results are better and last longer than waxing itself. I discovered LA laser through Instagram and just saw that they literally had the best deals and specials compared to other places I've researched. So for me, since I knew nothing about laser hair removal, I looked up a few YouTube videos first so I know how to prep, what to expect, etc. from what I did learn, it just feels like a rubber band snapping on your skin which to me...doesn't seem as bad compared to the pain of waxing lol. You do have to shave COMPLETELY where you're getting layered the day before, I did the night before. If you know who beauty guru Jackie Aina is, I would reccomend watching her YouTube video on her experience. She goes more into depth about it lol. Okay so as for my personal experience, i shaved the night before I went in. They say it's best to shave the NIGHT BEFORE and not the MORNING OF your appointment just a tip. I came in earlier as told to fill out new client forms. Inside is super nice, I love the cute furniture and fluffy rugs! Shauna is my tech and she made me feel super comfortable the entire time. She started me off on a "low" setting to see how I felt at first and told me next time we could go higher if I wanted to. The whole session was a breeze it honestly did not hurt at all compared to waxing. I would choose this over waxing ANY DAY! Today I just had my second session and even if we went higher I STILL like it better than waxing. I'm in & out of there literally within 10 minutes for both my brazilian and arm pits I'm always looking forward to my next session because the results are so totally worth it. Been going to LA Laser hair removal for several months now. I love coming here!!! The girls are all so sweet. I see Shauna who is awesome! She does a great job at explaining the process and making sure your prepped and maintaining properly after.The office is located in Kaneohe and the building has lots of free parking. I love how clean and comfortable the office is. I've been waxing for several years now but grew really tired of the maintenance. Also, even though my hair thinned out, I didn't like the idea of having to do it forever. Especially because it hurts, and I absolutely DREAD my Brazilian every single time I go. Laser hurts way less than waxing and I love that the results are more permanent. Please note however that laser hair removal is more like hair reduction and I also noticed that my hair got lighter and finer. I've already seen really great results from my first couple of sessions. Shauna makes you feel really comfortable and is easy to talk to. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the results as well as the overall experience at LA Laser! This is a very clean and inviting establishment and the staff is exceptional as far as their customer service. I started with the 3 underarm sessions for $100 and after one treatment i have results that have me thinking I don't need to continue but of course I will as it was explained to me that 3-6 treatments will ensure long term results. All in all I highly recommend and am so impressed with LA Laser Hawaii, both the staff and results of the treatment. I will no doubt be going for laser of other areas! The pricing is very affordable as I frequent a spa in Kapolei that offers the same services for triple the price. Kaneohe is a bit of a drive from the West Side but I would encourage anyone not to let the distance prevent you from going to LA Laser if you are contemplating Laser hair removal.
