I already had thin hair due to medication, so this was not gonna get better. I did not want to take expensive supplements or apply topicals. She was very knowledgeable, very kind, and so so talkative ! I appreciate that she was able to provide an example of what I should expect before starting with my results AND the pain . The process itself was super fast ! My brows were done in like 2-3 minutes and my shoulder was done in 5 ! Not gonna lie, it's very true when they say a tattoo removal hurts a lot more than the tattoo itself but Kristine made me so comfortable , it's worth it PLUS the pain is only bad for a couple minutes ! Attached is a pic she sent me of my brows before and immediately after . We yapped a lot so we didn't take pics of my shoulder before LOL ! I can't wait for my other sessions !

She was warm, asked good questions, and made me feel comfortable (bc I had no idea what to ask/do). I got a call back within minutes from Jen. We made a plan and an appt. She said she'd be availableby text or to call if I had questions or changed my mind which put me at ease. When I arrived, the staff and artists were friendly and the environment at The Collective is relaxing and welcoming.just overall very pleasant! My art consult with Jen was better than I could have imagined...and she drew up the perfect tattoo for me...somehow adding a few details I didnt even say explictly. (She just new my vibe somehow.) The piece on my ribs took approx 1 hour. Jen was fantastic to work with and really made the entire experience for me. The Collective (and artists) maintain a very hygienic space and clear, caring, helpful recommendations to optimize healing afterwards. My underarm hair still grows back just as thick as before, and I didn't notice any meaningful reduction after all of those appointments. Another concern I have is that since my treatments, I've occasionally experienced unusual sensations in my underarms, including itching, burning, and twitching. I can't say for certain what caused it, but I didn't have these symptoms before my treatments, so it has been concerning. Given the cost, time, and number of appointments, I was very disappointed with my experience and expected much better results. I hope my review helps others make an informed decision and encourages the clinic to address these concerns with future patients.

She is the only stylist I've found on Oahu who consistently gives me natural root touch ups (my hair is an Asian brown-black) and beautiful layered haircuts that suit my face shape. I had despaired of finding a hairstylist I could trust, after living in NYC for two decades. I had less than ideal cut&colors in different salons on the island until I found Leah. She also checked some vital signs pre-IV, after the first 500mL's, and again at the conclusion-I was happy to see my heart rate come down after the second 500mL's was infused . My 17-year old son has do-it-yourself tattoos on his once-beautiful fingers. He was contemplating having the tattoos removed but was fearful of how painful it would be. We scheduled an appointment at the About Face office in Kailua, and were greeted to the most warm and relaxing venue and personnel. The staff was astute with addressing the concerns of an an adolescent in this situation, especially Jamy Azevedo, RN, and Dr. Bartolome. Nadine was also quite skilled as a communication liaison and administrative assistant. Nurse Azevedo used therapeutic communication techniques to allow my son to express his needs and fears. She (not mom) helped him in his decision-making process. After the procedure was done, my son was beaming with Joy. It did not hurt as much as he thought it would, and he is looking forward to the next session. The quoted cost for removal of four tattoos (over several sessions) was very reasonable. It was also apparent that consideration was made (sliding scale?) for an adolescent who was paying for tattoo removal himself. It was also restorative in a sense, for Mom to know that this team of professionals were prepared to address the needs of my son on an individual basis. My sense of gratitude is almost beyond words! We traveled across the island (Honolulu to Kailua), to go to this specific About Face Hawaii locale, based on the recommendation of a friend. We would not go anywhere else for tattoo removal. I'll admit, I was a bit skeptical about a few things. I've never had any "procedures" prior to this so I was a bit weary. Also, purchasing a procedure through GROUPON!!! BUT....I couldn't be more happy with the results! Dr. Dale was personable, professional, and made me feel very comfortable. The office is clean and roomy. They recently changed their name to Epiphany Dermatology. Tons of paid parking (Use Park Smarter app) available on the street or in the lots nearby. Ask about pricing when talking about treatment and they will give you your costs upfront. My family has been seeing Dr Luria for approx 6 years. She is TERRIFIC!

Other than that faux pas--they are excellent. Aloha

I visited Goddess Aesthetics for the first time yesterday because my hair stylist Leah Frankson…read morerecently started working there. It has a dedicated hair salon area there, which you wouldn't know from the name of the business, but hopefully the word will get out soon. Leah is an artist, and deserves recognition in Hawaii. I have followed Leah from her first salon in Kapahulu, to her transfer to a Kailua salon, and finally, to Goddess Aesthetics. I live in East Honolulu, so it is quite the drive across the Pali Hwy, especially with traffic, to have my hair cut. I've done this for the past couple of years because she is worth it. She is the only stylist I've found on Oahu who consistently gives me natural root touch ups (my hair is an Asian brown-black) and beautiful layered haircuts that suit my face shape. I had despaired of finding a hairstylist I could trust, after living in NYC for two decades. I had less than ideal cut&colors in different salons on the island until I found Leah. After my first visit, I knew she was it. It was a relief to find her, and I will follow her wherever she roams on this island. Please don't ever leave Hawaii, Leah!

I came in for a facial, already telling myself, "You're not gonna relax, you never do." Yeah, well... joke's on me, because five minutes in and I was practically melting into the table. Angela has this calm, soothing voice that could probably convince a tornado to chill out. She was so patient and thoughtful and really took her time to look at my skin, asked questions, and explained what she was doing in a way that didn't sound like a skincare lecture. She even gave me personalized tips and product recs that made sense for MY skin (and not like those "just buy this $300 serum" kind of suggestions). And let me tell you... when I looked in the mirror afterward ... WOW!! My skin was glowing. Like, actually glowing. Soft, hydrated, smooth! I legit caught myself touching my face all day and even in the days after. I haven't seen my skin look this good in forever. Angela's the real deal!! She's patient, knowledgeable, and seriously good at what she does. If you've ever wanted a facial that leaves you looking and feeling like you've been on vacation (minus the plane ticket), book it. Just do it. You'll walk out wondering how your face ever survived without her.

I went in for the complimentary first session last week and only three sessions in, I can't believe…read morethe changes I'm seeing! My primary concern was stiffness in my hands and neck from an auto accident, but I also knew about the beauty benefits of red light healing beds and wanted to give them a try. When I arrived, Alison walked me through the process and what to expect. Even though I was already sold, I learned a lot of great new information! Both she and Ari are so friendly and kind that you feel comfortable right away. There are four separate rooms, each with a red light bed in it--the privacy is important since it's best not to have any clothing on for maximum light exposure. It's also better to go in without makeup, lotions, or oils. I also don't wear contact lenses during the treatments although I've read that it's okay as long as your cover your eyes with the goggles. I also leave my ear piercings in. The sessions are 20 minutes and feel like a warm sunbath. You can listen to music through your earbuds if you want. Overall, it's really relaxing--Immediately after my first session, I felt clear, grounded, and energized. Over the next few days, I was shocked at what I noticed: deep sleep (I have insomnia), more energy, slightly better mobility (this one will take more time), and stronger digestion. On top of that, my skin looks tighter, smoother, and more nourished, and for the first time ever, I went without makeup and felt confident about it! Since I have some melasma and uneven texture on my face, I usually have to wear concealer, but I totally ditched it because my skin is glowing! I also didn't expect my tattoos to have more color and definition, but it makes sense that healthy, hydrated skin is going to be a better canvas for ink. What I like best is that instead of needing collagen, calcium, and other supplements, my body is working on producing what it needs on its own. I'm super excited to continue seeing the benefits.
