He examined and explained that what was going on appeared to be an autoimmune reaction and he ordered labs so he could treat the root cause and rule out any autoimmune conditions. He also prescribed me a topical steroid which took the blisters away quickly. I continue to be under Dr. Williams care to keep a watch of my body's autoimmune response. During our conversations he asked if I had any other symptoms and I explained that I have been feeling sluggish, fatigued, lack of energy, weak in my legs, brain fog for the past five years. Dr. Williams ran another series of labs to check my adrenal glands and thyroid function. Lab results revealed hypo thyroid. Dr. Williams prescribed me a low-dose prescription and also plant-based adrenal supplements to help increase my T3, cortisol levels and to improve my overall adrenal function. After three days, I begin to feel so much better I wanted to cry happy tears. I feel that Dr. Williams really listened to me and cared enough to investigate when past medical doctors didn't. We are re-running labs again to check my thyroid function after 8 weeks. If you are looking for a wellness doctor, I highly recommend visiting Dr. Williams to discuss your symptoms. If you're questioning your thyroid function I also recommend listening to podcasts with Elle Russ.

I had laser hair removal on my underarms at Island Dermatology and completed over 12 treatment…read moresessions. Unfortunately, I saw little to no results. My underarm hair still grows back just as thick as before, and I didn't notice any meaningful reduction after all of those appointments. Another concern I have is that since my treatments, I've occasionally experienced unusual sensations in my underarms, including itching, burning, and twitching. I can't say for certain what caused it, but I didn't have these symptoms before my treatments, so it has been concerning. Given the cost, time, and number of appointments, I was very disappointed with my experience and expected much better results. I hope my review helps others make an informed decision and encourages the clinic to address these concerns with future patients.

Super disappointed with the service I received and interaction with Mila. I had high hopes because…read morethe Yelp reviews were outstanding, but alas they were also misleading. This review is not to complain, simply to express my experience with Mila at the Face Lounge using a Groupon for a microdermabrasion treatment. Setting up the appointment was simple over the phone. When I had to cancel last minute due to work, she was understanding and flexible with rescheduling another appointment. The new location is in a residential area in Kaneohe. It's easy to miss, but gps does a fine job of getting you there. When I first met Mila she was pleasant, but seemed in a rush. Understandable as I was 5 minutes late due to not being able to find the house. I'll admit the setup in the bedroom upstairs was kind of odd...I felt weird being in a person's home. It wasn't very relaxing and the bed faced directly across a bright window that was pretty blinding as it didn't have any shades. I guess I'm just used to getting facial treatments in a spa-like environment. We started the microdermabrasion, it was my first time, she told me it would feel like sandpaper across my skin. I'd say my skin isn't that sensitive, it's more on the normal side - but wow, did it hurt in certain areas like under my eyes and cheeks...it started to burn by the third time she went over my face. Afterwards she began extractions on my face without steaming and opening my pores. That worried me. It also hurt like heck! She made a comment about how I didn't drink enough water thus dehydrating my skin and making it difficult for her because my skin "just wouldn't give". Hmm maybe it's because my pores aren't opened up?? Shame comment #1. Then she noticed bumps on my skin (milia), which I was conscious about to begin with. I have a about 5 little ones on my cheek. She said, "That's really bad, it's because of improper product usage. You're too young to have that you NEED to go to a dermatologist." Shame #2. At this point I just felt real crappy about my skin...about my face in general, which is so opposite from other experiences with previous facials I've gotten. I usually get comments about how good my skin looks! Then she put on a mask, it immediately started burning my whole face!! On fire!! She didn't believe me at first, but I was like, "This doesn't feel right is this supposed to feel like this?!" So with rough force she wiped it off with a wet rag and that HURT so badly. I was cringing with pain trying to keep quiet, not scream, and be polite. She proceeded with 2 more masks that also burned my face. Wow. Then of course ended with a shame #3 comment about how sensitive my skin was. In the end, I was rushed out because another client had arrived and I left feeling bummed out about the state of my skin with no solutions. Btw, the burning and redness on my face lasted for the next two days.

You've probably heard of the Midas Touch, but what about MILA'S Touch? Mila of Skinpure Beauty Bar…read moreturns everything she touches in to GOLD! I am so grateful to Groupon for introducing me to Mila & Skinpure Beauty Bar, initially for eyebrow waxing & shaping (see my previous review) and she also specializes in providing a comprehensive line of skin care treatments. So I recently had an opportunity to experience one of Mila's ultra RELAXING clinical facial cleanses, which I found so amazing. I couldn't resist letting my fellow Yelpers know that if you're a discriminating customer seeking a skilled, caring, gentle, conscientious, knowledgeable and very friendly esthetician to do wonders on your skin & face, look no further than Mila at Skinpure Beauty Bar, where for the service I received, the distinction is virtually pain-free extractions. You would find it impossible to not drift off to a state of nirvana under the care of Mila, who in my opinion gives the most soothing neck, arm and hand massages. Mila uses only high quality European products and you'll have to experience why her facial is not typical. I realized this when the usual order of cleansing, exfoliation, steam therapy, extractions, peel, mask & hydration was slightly DIFFERENT, and folks there is a reason. I won't give away her trade secret, you'll have to experience it, or ask her yourself! I was thrilled to know she offers her many services in packages and I am so looking forward to experiencing facials regularly at Skinpure Beauty Bar. Thank you, Mila, you are the best!

Two weeks after my Daxxify treatment with Melissa, I'm genuinely impressed--not just with the…read moreresults, but with the entire experience. As a man, walking into an aesthetics practice can feel intimidating. Most guys hear the word "Botox" and immediately think it's not for them. The reality is that "Botox" has become the generic term people use for wrinkle-relaxing injectables, much like people say Kleenex instead of tissue. Melissa took the time to explain the differences, answer every question, and make the entire process feel comfortable, private, and judgment-free. I chose Daxxify because it's a newer wrinkle-relaxing injectable that may last longer than traditional neuromodulators. My goal wasn't to look different--it was to look less tired, less stressed, and more refreshed. Two weeks later, that's exactly what happened. The results are natural, masculine, and subtle. People notice I look better, but nobody can tell why. One thing Melissa made clear is that injectables are only part of the equation. Healthy skin still requires healthy skin habits. She spent time educating me on skincare, sun protection, and medical-grade products like SkinCeuticals that help improve skin quality and support long-term results. It wasn't a sales pitch--it was education, and I appreciated that. What really sets Melissa apart is who she is as a person. She's warm, welcoming, incredibly knowledgeable, and has a way of making you feel like family almost immediately. We laughed throughout the appointment, and what could have felt awkward instead felt like spending time with someone who genuinely cares about helping you feel your best. Because of the experience and results, I'm already planning my next treatment with her--a Vampire Facial (PRP Microneedling) and for "Looks Maxxing"...I'm gonna get some filler in my jaw and cheeks. A year ago, I never would have imagined saying that. Today, I wouldn't trust anyone else with it. For any man who's been curious about injectables, skincare, or preventative aging but hasn't known where to start, book a consultation with Melissa. No pressure. No judgment. Just honest education, great results, and a provider who truly wants what's best for her clients. Tell me I look 42...you can't. And that's the miracle of Melissa. Melissa is an absolute gem of a human being, and Premier Island Glow has earned a client for life.

When I walked to the front to pay I was told 3x that price, over $300. Obviously I was shocked and objected, but I was met with a condescending tone. I was told that there must have been a misunderstanding on my part and that I was told Botox units. Even though I was Sure I clarified the dose and pricing prior to injection. The women continued to repeat herself over and over in a rude manner stating there was nothing she could do and that technically I was given $5 a unit but for 60 units not 20. So beware they dose in Botox units no matter which product they provide to you and even if you clarify the price and dosing they will change it on you before you check out. This is deception marketing. This strategy is to confuse you and require you to do the math at bedside to figure out your actual cost. Huge disappointment.
