I had a drapery rod in the family room that I couldn't install adequately because of difficulty drilling into a block wall. So glad that I called Jason as he was very experienced in drilling into block and all types of surfaces. I was able to schedule an appointment within a few days and he arrived right on time. Jason did a great job taking down curtains and installing new ones for me. What I liked about him was that he went step by step with what he was doing. He explained everything to me, gave me options on how he could do the job and was just very honest about everything. He also fixed some crooked fixtures, mounted on some shelves for me, and installed a new shower head. He made sure it worked, taught me how to change the shower head levels, and left me the old shower head just in case the new one broke, I had something to rely on. I was recently referred to Jason at We Know the Drill for some random work I needed to have done at home. And when I say random, the to-do list ranged from drywall patching (thanks to the mutt pack) to installing light fixtures and everything in between. I should preface this by saying that I have tried many times to hire a true handyman (individual and company), only to hear, "Oh, sorry, we don't do that or that or this thing. How do you get a 5 star review and not do any work? Here is how. I sent Jason an email and photos about a small bathroom wall retexturing and requested it match the ceiling, (walls previously had wallpaper). He responded promptly but wanted a close up of the texture on the ceiling, photo sent. Jason called me the following day and said that the texture was an older variety and although he could reproduce it, it was not something that he felt he was the best at. He went on to say he had been at a worksite and seen a similar texturing job done by M&C Services Group, he was so impressed with their work that he got their business card. As I assumed that Jason was going to refer me to C&M as he wanted me to get the best job possible I expected Jason to give me the name and number and tell me to call them which he did. BUT he also had called them first, asked it they would consider doing the job and since Jason had a rare opening in his schedule and was going to do it by the end of the week he confirmed they could also do it by the end of the week. This was Tuesday evening about 4:30 pm. I called C&M, they scheduled an appointment for 1:00 pm on Wednesday, had the bid to us that afternoon and we scheduled the work for Thursday 9:00 am. Jason went above and beyond for a potential customer whom he received no direct financial compensation, so you judge for yourself reading the other 5 Star reviews along with this one. Wow! All I can say is WOW! Jason was right on time, professional, clean and well mannered. Took the time to properly measure out and level everything to my specifications. I asked him to hang mirrors, wall art and my new TV and soundbar. Everything was done slow and methodical and he even stayed 30 minutes after to try and figure out if the soundbar could be paired with the subwoofer. He did not charge me for that time. The charges were more than fair, for which I eagerly paid him. He actually takes credit/debit cards, which was way more convenient than cash. Unfortunately, we did not figure out the soundbar together, but I did later that evening. Jason was highly recommended to me by my neighbor who had used his services more than one time. Jason is in high demand - he's a Veteran and it shows - courteous, disciplined, precise, honest. He's the kind of guy that will tell you straight up if he thinks he's not the right person for the job - and then will help you get the right person. I waited two weeks to get on his calendar and rescheduled appliance delivery so he could complete work in my laundry room . He installed a dryer box in the wall, removed and relocate a base cabinet ( so it had to stay in one piece - NOT easy) and relocated and installed a wall cabinet- among several other odd jobs. I thought the base cabinet was on top of the stone tile but not so - now there was floor tiling to do as well. Luckily I had spare tile and Jason was upfront that he could do a small regular tile job but the travertine I had needed a diamond cutter - he took a sample to check he could cut it successfully. He was efficient in getting his work done and is coming back to finish tiling later this week.
