I hired this company for cleaning services, and before the team arrived, I explicitly communicated that my hardwood floors had been refinished less than 48 hours earlier. Despite this, the team proceeded to wet-mop the floors. Newly refinished floors require special care during the initial curing period, and wet cleaning should be avoided. The premature exposure to water compromised the finish and resulted in additional work being necessary to address the floors. As a result, I incurred approximately $1,000 in additional flooring repair costs. I provided the company with the repair invoice and made what I considered to be a very reasonable request: a partial refund of the cleaning fee, rather than asking them to cover the cost of the repairs. What was particularly troubling was the company's response. When I raised the issue, I was initially told that the team had only used a damp cloth. This was simply not true. I personally witnessed the team using a wet mop. Rather than acknowledge the discrepancy or make any effort to resolve the situation fairly, management doubled down on denying responsibility and refused even a partial reimbursement. Mistakes can happen in any service business. What distinguishes a reputable company is how it handles those mistakes. In this case, I experienced a lack of transparency, accountability, and basic customer care. To me, refusing to take any responsibility after being made aware of the circumstances, particularly when the customer has incurred significant additional costs, is deeply disappointing and reflects poorly on the company's business practices. I would strongly caution anyone considering this company, particularly if you have delicate surfaces, newly refinished floors, or other areas requiring specialized care. My experience was not simply a disappointing cleaning service; it was an equally disappointing experience with the company's ethics and treatment of a customer.

Puke in the toilets, bottles of liquor strewn across several rooms, a thick layer of black scum coating the floors; this is the mess that the ladies of Dust to Shine walked into. I called them on a Wednesday, and Andrea confirmed our Sunday morning appointment via text. We texted throughout the week to finalize our service options and pricing. Remember to treat them kindly over the phone and in person, because even with the slaughterhouse they worked with, Andrea still gave us a discount from the kindness of her heart. They arrived on time with all the necessary tools and materials to do the hard work. I actually tried helping them clean (out of sheer guilt), but Andrea shoo'ed me away and promised to take care of it. All the cabinets, the fridge and the dishes are clean, the bathrooms are sparkling, the walls are clean, the furniture has been polished, and the messes organized.
