Several days later he arrived with his crew and got busy with the issues we discussed. Our rear yard is not accessible with equipment so it was a hands on project. So far, so good. The problem began when they decided it was necessary to use a truck and rope to help pull a large tree trunk down so it could be sawn into smaller pieces. To be fair, the work we agreed on was completed as expected and done in an afternoon. Here's where I have a problem. When they used the truck to pull on the trunk, they did so from our NEIGHBORS front yard without my knowledge and without permission from anybody. The result was large, deep ruts and obvious tire tracks on the lawn. I pointed out the damage and he promised to repair the damage to its ORIGINAL condition: level surface, seeded and straw. What we got was a few little bags of topsoil which didn't put a dent in the damage. After several texts to him, he kept promising me he would have it completed "the next day " which obviously never came. SO, now I'M stuck with the repair and cost to make the neighbors whole again. (Through no fault of my own) Cory and his crew are nice guys and I might use them again but just beware to check carefully before he leaves. Guess I better get busy.....

Some thick branches of honeysuckle were growing in between a wire fence so they were even more challenging to remove. They removed the wire fence and rolled it up nicely. They ground out the stumps of the large trees and cleaned up all areas leaving them looking 1000% better. We will now be able to landscape the areas. Very personable and professional, very detail oriented, and substantially less expensive than other tree removal services. I highly recommend this company without any hesitation.

Just as impressive as taking my rake, using said rake, not returning the rake, having it on camera, and two weeks out trying to get said rake back or just financial compensation for it with no results to show. Actions tend to speak louder than words or text messages from Matthew in this case. They also left some pretty deep ruts in my yard from the skid steer loader they were using and communication between Grabill and his crew is lacking. They started cutting up the main trunk when it was not needed as I was going to cut and haul the wood away for my Grandparents since they use it for firewood for the winter and made splitting that wood a bigger hassle. I have no issues with contractors using the tools I leave out, but not returning it is very un-professional and two weeks out of not returning it or financially compensating me for it tells me they have no respect for your property or items on your property. So I guess make sure you have everything put up and double, triple-check your property before you pay them. Maybe then you will have a chance of getting it back. EDIT: So not only did you ghost me for overall for a month about the rake and not return it, you also broke the rake and did not inform me at all. Only reason you contacted me and broke the silence was because you were upset about the one star review while preceding to call me low and getting upset I did not take the other option of just paying for it when you offered two options??? Then the day you tried contacting me I was booked through and through with work and left me a nice message the next morning cause you could not even wait a day when you essentially made me wait a month, and I was going to take you up on it till you decided to pull that move. One required a very special lift to get up to the top of the dead ash tree that had multiple power lines around it. The crew was professional. They estimated that it the job would finish in one day but it was impacted by another customer who had a tree fall on their house. They came out the next morning and removed the stump. After they left some things need to be pointed out. 1. Ensure you specify what must not be damaged before they start. 2. While they were prompt they were not as organized as I had expected. Small things like they forget to bring cans of diesel to fill the equipment. The rake to sweep the street. 3. My neighbors mail box post was badly damaged, I repaired it. The could have trimmed more of the section that they dropped to prevent it from hitting the mailbox post. 4. I am not sure of the long term issue but normally some mulch is left on top of ground up stumps to allow for settling. This did not happen on either tree. The crew arrived early, and wow, they have an EFFICIENT and quick operation! They had at least one guy who climbed up super high in each tree, while folks on the ground spotted him, handled cut branches, etc. Since they needed to grind down the pine tree stump, they used a ditch witch. I was impressed that they laid down a mat over the grass to protect the ground from the ditch witch tracks. They cleaned up really well too.
