We had a referral for Ohio Valley Tree Experts, Eli Tenorio. Eli came out and quoted taking down a nasty dirty big 25 year old Bradford Pear (very susceptible to wind). It just had to GO BYE-BYE! The quote included having the stump ground out because we told him we wanted to put a smaller tree in the area, which was a wise choice on our end! :-) The next week, Eli and his crew came as scheduled on time fully outfitted with all safety gear! And, they brought THIS EQUIPMENT! They started within like 3 minutes of arrival! It was obvious, they positioned the equipment immediately precisely where they wanted it - and were very conscious of our (and the neighbors') lawn, concrete drive and all the trees and shrubbery that were to stay! All their equipment was prepped and ready to go! The equipment they brought enabled them to work smart and oh, so fast-actually the stump grinder was remote operated!! Watching them was fascinating! They were like an orchestra working together! This was really a top notch EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONAL CREW and we have used tree services before - no comparison! Besides Eli using the bucket on a big truck to position himself safely with the crew poised below, he started cutting! Seeming like either an artist or a skilled surgeon, he quickly cut selected branch after branch and so on, not stopping except to reposition or alert the crew if he was redirecting the branch fall location. The team was always attentive and poised below to assemble the cuttings into piles. It was obvious the strategy was to ensure no heavy logs would bang up our lawn or hit the concrete. It was like a rhythm to select, cut, direct, and fall every piece! In no time, the tree looked more like a tower than a tree. There were these organized piles...yep, for the big claw (on another big truck- dump truck) to pick them up and PLACE them in the dump truck. They have a method, a strategy to every movement - no one was ever still and was always doing something to get the tree down and everything cleaned up SAFELY. There was a purpose to each piece of equipment, including staging and moving each one in and out as needed They told me it was YEARS of experience! They work SMART and SAFE and were fully attentive to the surroundings (including my nearby neighbor's drive and lawn) and took care of every detail, and were very professional; there are no higher praises that I can express. I did not worry about anything when I saw them and that's not usually the case. I don't post pictures, but, here I will - one with the tree cut and the stump showing and one with the stump gone and all cleaned up! The stump grinder was amazing; they fully removed the stump and completely cleaned it up and left it like nothing was there. All we need is a fresh bag of mulch and no one will know a tree was there! Notice that little Japanese Red Maple there on the right....They had big piles on both sides of it and the bucket truck next to it...and those flower plantings there by the big flat rock? They were there before and after-not phased!! Nothing even touched that Japanese Maple! That's skill! Eli was great. After contacting him, we made an apt. for an estimate. He was prompt and paid close attention to me requests. We scheduled a time for the work to be completed. He and his crew arrived on time, did exactly what we had discussed. Since a truck could not get in my yard, his crew climbed my trees without using spikes so as to not damage the trees. They roped limbs and took great care not to damage any other trees, plants (which were many) on my property. The crew was clean, polite and very professional. They were meticulous with their clean up. I have dealt with at least 4 other tree companies. Ohio Vally Tree Experts are far superior and their prices are very reasonable. EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL - our go-to for future projects and they should be yours as well. They took down and hauled off an old ash tree that was very close to the house in less than 7 hours. The way it was positioned they couldn't use a lift but they took care of it no problem. They knocked on my door twice - once to let us know they were there, and once to let us know they were done. Also - one of the cheapest quotes we got and the ONLY one of 8 companies we contacted to return our calls consistently. Only down side I can think of is they don't take credit cards. read more
