The scope included a full guest bathroom remodel (excluding the shower), master bathroom paint and flooring with a new tile shower, bedroom popcorn ceiling skim coating, paint, water heater replacement, new vanity and mirror, plus all associated electrical work. The entire project was completed in about two months and stayed right on schedule, which was impressive given the number of different areas and trades involved in a condo building. What truly stood out was the exceptional communication and project management from Yair. He did an excellent job setting clear expectations from day one and followed through consistently. To keep a long story short, they make up a lot of excuses for the many errors they make. They try to gaslight you into thinking they are doing you a favor by fixing their own mistakes. They try to blame the errors on you or it "previously" being there. They claim they will work with you but when their works returned, they literally were huffing and puffing out loud about having to fix their work. I have all texts and evidence and will be filing to a contractor state license board complaint and having a second opinion on the work done. Our project was upgrading the cantilever balconies on 4 townhouses. We interviewed 4 different…read morecontractors and landed with Gilbert Rocha Construction. Let me add that we previously had the other 3 balconies done in 2022. These other 3 we took the lead on organizing the different contractors for the different work (i.e., demo, structure, electrical, plumbing, railings, flooring, stucco etc). The goal this time was not to be involved and have Rocha take point. Initially, it felt like we had made a good choice, but then we had a pause in having work done. Upon checking in we learned Gilbert was in the hospital. His wife Marie assisted with getting work moving forward. Gilbert was not seen for about 6 weeks. And during this time we had many days when no work was done. Once Gilbert was back he was not the same. We had to spend many hours tracking work and what needed to be done to keep the project moving, along with the bookkeeping, when he asked for a large amount over what was owed. The project took longer than initially projected, which we were ok with to get a good end product. Once the balconies were finished, final payment made, we asked for warranty information, Gilbert Rocha said he would forward. Warranty information was never received after multiple emails requesting. Not even 6 months later our railings are rusting at the welding joints. Gilbert Rocha's emails bounce back and the numbers are not in service. He may be out of business, but we still deserve to have a warranty to have the safety of railings corrected.

Within 48 hours Gilbert submitted a detailed, itemized proposal. This included his fees as well as what it would typically cost for things like cabinets, countertops, tiles, etc. He suggested places for me to get these items. Gilbert coordinated the work to run smoothly and was available every step of the way. Emerson made my tiled floors and walls look like art. Héctor is a gem. He is the project manager who stepped in for various tasks. Everything Héctor did was done with precision and care. He and Gilbert made sure each team of workers left the area clean and made sure I was happy with the work. I made payments as the job progressed and knew exactly what I was paying for. The job ended within the time frame Gilbert had estimated, even with the extra work I asked for. Gilbert Rocha is a man of his word. I love my bathrooms!
