My regular facial place cancelled on me an hour before my appointment (second time this year). I really wanted a facial prior to an event I had the following day. I started scanning facial places in Koreatown because I decided I wanted to get one there. I found WB Spa on Google. They have a nice, functional website where you can book online. Since I was coming last minute, I gave them a call to confirm their availability. They were able to see me asap. Their location is on the 5th floor of a building at the end of Koreatown, closer to 5th Ave. I didn't have to buzz in and an elevator is available. The spa is located right off of the elevator when you get off. The building itself is kind of ugly and grimey, but WB itself is clean and modern looking once you step inside. They have a waiting area to sit while you wait for your service. I didn't have to wait at all. They took me in immediately for my Deep Cleansing Facial ($65). The price point is very good as they use various machines and steaming techniques throughout the 45 minute facial. You can take off your shoes and sit on the comfortable beds during your service. I left feeling relaxed with soft skin. One thing I didn't care for was my esthetician talking to her coworkers while she was doing my service. The room I was in didn't have a wall that went all the way to the ceiling, so she was basically shouting to her coworkers while in the next room while I'm on the table. It ruined the relaxation aspect for a bit, though she eventually stopped doing this. The only bathroom in the facility is a bathroom in the hallway that has to be opened with a key. It's very small, not fancy. But if you need it, it's there. I suggest paying in cash because if you pay with card, they will charge you tax plus a credit card surcharge, so it basically increases the cost of the service by $5 or more to pay with a credit card. They have a member card where you can get a free service after visiting 10 times and I was given one upon leaving. Overall, this was a decent, clean spot at an affordable price. TodayI had the BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE! I have had many massages, locally, and in big cities, Lake Tahoe, Nevada, Los Angeles, and San Francisco and Mexico. I have NEVER had a massage like the one I had with Andy from WB Day Spa! The spa itself is clean, comfortable and very peaceful. Everyone was extremely polite and professional with happy dispositions. l live in Southern California and on vacation with my family. I recently had back surgery in January and have been in Physical therapy since March. With all the walking and site seeing, I have been in SO MUCH PAIN and starting struggling to get around. My husband and I had dinner in Korea town last night and we happened to walk past a sign for advertising a 60 minute massage for only $65.00!!! I actually booked a 90 minute massage for $100.00! Where can you find a DEAL LIKE THIS! Andy was able to massage out ever single ache, pain and stress knot on my body. "Deep tissue" takes on a WHOLE NEW MEANING when you have Andy as your masseur! If you can't handle the hard pressure, make sure you let him know right from the beginning. I was in heaven from the start! Back, shoulders, legs, calf's, knees, neck, arms, ankles, and my head and face! All that plus hot oil, hot towel AND hot stones all included! Where ANYWHERE can you get a 90 minute awesome massage which includes all the extras for $100.00? To say I left WB Day Spa in Korea town a new woman is a complete understatement! Please don't hesitant to book your appointment! I promise, you won't be disappointed! If I lived in New York, I would book a massage for once a month! I got a 60 minute foot reflexology treatment that was so lovely and relaxing I almost fell asleep! The treatment started with a hot foot soak then a calf massage before focusing on the feet. The masseuse Ella checked in with the pressure. She was very sweet, as was the manager. WB Spa is a new business and they have specials (eg $39 for a 50-minute foot reflexology) but they didn't try to upsell me on services or pester me to come back.
