Sad how this place has gone down hill. The last few times I went I noticed they were trying to phase out the front desk: it keeps getting smaller, now regulated to a corner. Like walmarts and k-marts, they want customers to do the work checking themselves, probably so they can save costs while squeezing more and more out of customers. What I find strange is why they still charge spa-like prices when you're not getting a spa-like feel anymore. Don't sign up for their monthly membership. Your credits don't roll over if you are unable to make it in a billing month so you just lose $108. They're also not accommodating because their "Membership system is fully automated so we are unable to make any exceptions. This policy is outlined in our Membership Terms and Conditions, which ensures that all members are treated fairly and consistently." Spend that extra money elsewhere on something more effective. I activated my membership with FaceGym sometime early 2024. After a few months I needed to take a break and asked them to freeze my membership in Oct 2024 which was allowed by their terms of service. They took me through hell. I asked to cancel at the studio, they told me I needed to send an email. I emailed them, they said I needed to fill out a form. I filled out a form but didn't get a response for days. Eventually, I got sick of this back and forth and sent them an email on Oct 3, 2024, requesting to cancel my membership altogether. Two months later, in Dec 2024, I decided to give FaceGym another chance and activated a new membership. Before activating the new membership, I logged in to my FaceGym account to make sure I didn't have a membership. FaceGym never responded to my Oct 3, 2024 email, so I wanted to be sure. No membership was showing on my FaceGym account in Dec 2024, so I activated a new membership. In Jan 2025 I got two consecutive charges from FaceGym of on Jan 19 and 22. Turned out FaceGym activated the new membership while also reactivating the old one without my knowledge and started double charging me. I checked Dec 2024 charges and realized they charged me twice in Dec also. I tried to reason with them and asked for refunds, but they've been rude and difficult and basically told me that double charges are in line with their policies. How can that be the case though? How can a person have TWO memberships at the same Gym? Why did their system even allowed me to start a new membership if I supposedly had a membership already? This is clearly a scam. I went to the NoHo location very excited. I'd had 2 gift cards so I'd been waiting a while to do this (I live in NJ so a lot of planning was involved). Since I had the gift cards I added on the Intense Cleanse to the Signature Sculpt. Blanca was my "trainer" and I think she was great. This would be a 4 star review if it was just about her. Being in the center of the room with no privacy was a little off-putting but it is what it is. I took a before photo and an after in the same spot in the studio and I could definitely see an immediate difference in my face. I was about to pay and that's where all the good feels ended. I handed over the first gift card and the receptionist must've been new because she was very hesitant about the gift card situation. Even asking at first if I could come back the next day if I wanted to buy a gift card. When I assured her I was using to towards my payment, she was fine. She processed the first card towards my balance no problem. The second one was more of an issue. It was saying the number was invalid. I showed her my emails. I showed her the email that said SPECIFICALLY, your card is still valid, just follow this link. I showed her as it followed the link and the valid gift card opened up. Still, it would not work. So, finally she agreed to keep the card number to void it later and took the $50 off my balance. I pull cash out of my wallet to pay my balance and tip. I was looked at as if I pull monopoly money out to pay. She began going around the studo asking questions. I thought maybe she just didn't know where they kept change. Turns out, even though it's posted nowhere, Face Gym, at least this location, I don't know, is a cashless business. Ok, fine, I give my debit card to pay my balance and give Blanca her tip separately. The receptionist was also audibly suprirsed at the amount I wanted to tip my "trainer", which I thought was odd. Finally, I finished my transaction and tried to not let the whole checking out process dim the glow I felt. I left NYC and went to work back in NJ. That's when the phone calls began. A voicemail stating that the reason the gift card didn't work was because it was for online use only. They wanted me to call back to authorize my debit card being run for $50. I wanted to wait until I was done working and had time to check the gift card to be sure it didn't say anything about being used online and in that time, I received three more calls and a text message, again, asking if I could give them permission to run my card for the $50 and then I could figure out the gift card situation by emailing their info email. The gift card said nothing about it only being good online. I would've seen it while we were trying to get it to work in the studio. The receptionist would've seen it when I showed her everything. So, before I got to respond to them, they ran my card for $50 - without my permission, which, to my knowledge, is illegal. I left a voicemail to please refund my money first thing Monday morning or void the transaction and they could work with their corporate office regarding the gift card. I left my phone number, which they obviously had, yet no one called me back. I sent a text to Susan, who apparently is who had texted me, asking the same. No response. I reiterated to her that it was illegal, it is commiting fraud under both state and federal laws by charging my card without permission. No response. My ENTIRE experience was ruined. A service I literaly waited years to get, ruined over a $50 gift card and poor customer service. Ruined by fraudulently running my card. Why an international company with write ups in so many magazines would risk bad press over a $50 gift card is beyond me. Terrible business practices. Needless to say, I'm disputing the charge with my bank. read more

I have a membership and go regularly to KELLI on the Upper East Side. She is the only one I book with and the only one I have gone to. And she is fantastic. I don't do fillers or botox but I DO go to Kelli every month and that has made all the difference. Kelli is friendly, skilled and has a great touch. Many, many bright stars for KELLI. read more

We were hesitant to go to this location (saks) because of all the bad reviews but it was the only location who had availability. However we are so glad we came! The trainers were great, explaining every step as they went and giving details on what products were being used. Janiya was my trainer and she was fabulous, definitely coming back. Very disappointed in my experience at Face Gym and in the service we received from Ingrid at the front desk. I called two weeks prior to book a facial for my mother and myself for her birthday and specifically requested they be at the same time. Unfortunately when we arrived they had booked them consecutively, which would have meant missing our lunch reservations and other plans. While the mistake was disappointing, it was understandable. Unfortunately they were incredibly rude and did not offer any help, instead reminding us that we would be charged. I will never return. Recently I wrote a review on this location for Nordstrom's one as they do not have a yelp but long story short go to that one instead of Saks. Although the Saks location has mixed reviews I decided to try it out for myself because it is the closest to where I work/live. I made my appt. for 2pm on Saturday a week early and based my day around it. I was called at 11am and asked to move my appointment to 4:50pm and when I said I rather keep it for 2pm I was told it was 4:50pm or I would have to book another day. I took 5pm because I have horrible TMJ and really need the monthly appointment to help ease the tension. I show up at 4:40pm and my appointment didn't start until 5:20pm. I was the only person there and when I commented to my facialist I was surprised at the quietness of the studio she said the other two workers went home because they had a big break in their schedules and didn't want to wait around so she took some clients that would reschedule???? Ok so my appointment was cancelled because someone at work decided to go home early? How very odd. Giving this three stars because the space was clean and my facialist gave a great appointment. I came here recently for the signature electrical, and was very disappointed in the results. I went in with good skin and a bit of eczema, I left without any sculpt or tone, and my eczema raw and bleeding. I'm unsure how that happened (there aren't any extractions or exfoliants?) but it's absolutely unacceptable to finish a facial in that state without tending to the fresh blood and acknowledging/compensating in some way. My eczema was clearly aggravated and unhappy (photos attached!). Not worth a $100+ facial including tip. I will not be coming back and do not recommend. My husband and I both had appointments at face gym last week at the saks location. I will not be returning as the experience was not anything special. My facial consultant barely spoke English and didn't read the effort I put into the forms that clients are asked to complete before they sit down in the chair. She almost missed that I was pregnant and hence some of the treatments should be modified. My husband also did not enjoy his experience and actually got a reaction from the ems tool. I have gone to Nordstrom's face gym and LOVE IT! We had 4 people so went to the Saks Fifth Ave since they could accommodate all 4. At Nordstroms they discuss your skin and what they think you need - (Saks - nothing). Nordstroms will teach you exercises and how to use the tools (Saks-nothing)..Nordstroms will explain each step and what they are going to put on your skin (Saks-nothing). Even one of the worker's burped in our face without even saying excuse me. The workout was terrible and a waste of money. You come out of Nordstroms with a dewy glow and your skin is so hydrated - I left Saks looking the same as when I arrived. It was such an embarrassment since I had bragged up the Face Gym to visitors. They even started the service time late - but finished on time... Unfortunately, the morning of my appointment, I received notice that I came into close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID, which means I must quarantine for 14 days. I called Facegym to cancel and they STILL charged me for my appointment. I understand if I was just cancelling to cancel but this it is a requirement to quarantine after such a situation. I used to love this place, I'd go a few times a year-- went again recently to their UES location and the experience was trash. They did away with their express offering, so I went with the signature sculpt and ended up paying more than $150 for just barely a 40 min face massage (was supposed to be 45-50 as stated online). They constantly try to upsell you on products and other services throughout the whole experience. Cheapened the whole thing. Won't be returning unless things change. read more

When you book online, you choose the location first. Upon choosing the location, you then choose the service (I chose the Signature Electrical) and specific time/day, if needed. It gives you an option to filter and choose by specific trainer and specific times. If you don't filter by trainer or times -- it takes you to a new window with a list of trainers and their available times/days. I went through the online booking steps and chose a specific trainer on a specific time/day - and received a confirmation email with the specific trainer listed - "you've booked x service on time/day with x trainer..." Appointment day comes around. I get to the Saks location and upon checking-in -- I am introduced to a different trainer. I see the trainer I actually booked with starting a service with another customer. I let them know I booked with a specific trainer online -- even showed them the confirmation email. Rather than saying it's their fault -- they proceeded to tell me I booked incorrectly... even AFTER I showed them the email stating the specific trainer. So bizarre... I'm not sure if the people at this location know how to use their own system. Ok, whatever. I get my service with another trainer to find my service had ended 10 mins early as she rushed off to help another customer. [note: the appointments are booked for 55mins of which 40mins is the actual service. My appointment was only 30mins long.] The services itself are bit overpriced but I like to treat myself 1-2x a month. It'd be worth the price if they actually give you the full allotted time. I recommend heading to their Noho location instead. read more

I was excited to try this after reading the reviews but unfortunately I was left disappointed. Cons: The chairs are set up like hair salons so you can see and hear everything. I paid $275 plus tax and 20% tip for 75 min facial only to end 20 minutes early. After calling and telling them they said they will make a note of it and still perfecting the timing of the facials after being there for over a year already. Not sure whether because I have sensitive and acne prone skin, I got several big pimples after the treatment and several areas of my face are quite red and have not faded on day 2 after treatment. Looove this place. Heard a lot about them and visited with a lot of excitement and expectations and I wasnt let down even for a milli sec :) . It is located inside Saks 5th Avenue. The place has a great vibe. I walked in 15 mins before my appointment. I filled their form on the ipad and was taken to my chair by Elle by therapist for the day. She was so positive and kept educating me on what she is doing and why as this is my first time. It was an absolute pleasure and my face was glowing after the work out. How I wish there was a Face Gym in the city I live :(. They do a warm up, cardio and I also enjoyed the IV drip. I felt relaxed and my skin is in bliss. I bought one of the product too. Terrible experience here. They ran out of headbands so I had gross gunk in my hair I had to run around with all day. My 50 minute session was only 35 minutes (and I even got an add on service which adds time). It was rushed and really didn't ge the results I usually do. Not your normal quiet, soothing spa experience at the NoHo location. Listening to hip hop and rap music while having a facial vs. listening to waves or tonal bells takes a bit of adjustment. Lots of conversation with the clients around me as I was hoping to "escape". There is no face cleansing (on the signature facial). The aesthetician rubbed oil (or similar) onto my face - I think to make the massage easier, but make-up was not effectively removed. I left with crud in and around my eyes from my eyeliner that I could clean up in the bathroom area, but I could not have walked out in the state I was as I finished the treatment. The facial was powerful, and as a result, I felt the difference in my muscles upon completion. I believe it reduced the bags under my eyes. All in all it was good, but I will go with different expectations on my second visit and perhaps the experience will achieve a higher rating.Not sure what the IV drip is that everyone is writing about...no one mentioned it to me. read more

Thought I would try this out with my daughter. Not a good experience...the electrical stim is not for older skin. I felt the constant electrical pull was doing something to the left side of my face. Ended up with more wrinkles, almost like a 3 claw wrinkle above my brow. I contacted them, they said they never heard of this and promised to set up something else. This review pertains to customer service at Face Gym. I am otherwise happy with the services I get there. I am currently quite annoyed. I have been a regular customer of Face Gym since it opened. I booked an appointment for today approximately 3 weeks ago. Yesterday I was called and told my regular trainer was no longer with the company and could I reschedule my appointment for another time today. I rescheduled and showed up today for the appointment. When I showed up, I was told that someone had left a voicemail on my phone (no voicemail or missed call showed up on my phone) that my new trainer was out and my appointment was canceled. I am annoyed for two reasons: (1) no voicemail showed up on my phone, so I was inconvenienced by going there and being told my appointment was canceled, and (2) I was not offered another slot today. This is no way to treat a regular customer. Please do better, Face Gym. I make considerable effort to find time to go because otherwise I am thrilled with the service of the trainers; please make some effort to not inconvenience your customers. read more

Guys! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! I went there 3 times. Did the signature twice and yesterday I had the game face. With the signature I actually only got like 15-20 min treatment, but I usually feel uncomfortable complaining but yesterday having a $275 treatment that is advertised at 75 min treatment and 15 consultation I really asked to speak to the manager. I was done with EVERYTHING in 55 min. There's no such thing as a consultation first of all. That's just pure BS, But my treatment was cut short 20 min!! 20 min!!! I asked the manager how is that possible and he said "I trust my employees that they know what they are doing and maybe your face was to sensitive" whaaaatttt whaaatttt!!!!! Honestly, just go get a face massage anywhere else because you will never get what you're paying for.
