He freaked out he was going on about him taking food off his table and stealing from him as he marches around the counter in a little Rambo outfit and tries to shame and blame me about the money. Wants 900.00 for a new dash I find a rebuild of mine for only 159.00 on the net now he is really pissed. 3-4 hours labor he says wow.I say no way see ya later. I told him I'll do my own dash and I did took all of 20 minutes to pull the dash and 30 minutes to button it up with the nice rebuilt dash from dash doctors. Looks great. The staff is friendly as well, so the only draw back is really that the entrance and waiting area feels a bit dirty and run down. I had an unexpectedly busy day yesterday, so once I was free today, I picked one of the best-rated Plymouth repair shops and grabbed my phone, expecting it to be the first of many calls, given recent experiences with fielding this exact repair for my car. John was not only truly warm, he was very considerate and informative in his questions before inviting me to bring my car in for a quick repair today, despite it being already 3:30 pm at that point, with the shop closing in an hour and a half. I got to the shop at 4 pm. Less than half an hour later, I was leaving with my car no longer clanking from a loose part. Walt's used to charge the diagnosis if work was not performed, but waived it if work was performed. In this case, ARVU maintained the charge........and added a SECOND charge. Therefore, I was charged $172.50 TWICE. That's $350 not even counting the work. When I questioned it, no equivocation or negotiation. Then, when I wrote two emails with concern, NO answer back. Not cool. Not sure how everyone else feels about this, but I find it difficult to ever patronize them again.
