Unfortunately, it was not possible to repair the tire. They offered me options that were all reasonable. They were conscientious about my limited budget and offered to sell me a used tire. So, I waited and my car sat there for two and a half days. When I finally called them, they claimed they had called me, as if cell phones don't show all incoming calls and why wouldn't they leave a message. Especially since the front desk person had left me a message the day my vehicle was dropped off there so my information was in the system. SECOND, the estimate was way over the top and so expensive that I almost choked while talking to him. It was the cost of the lower end of a newer vehicle. I could not believe it and he spoke to me like it was normal and I was stupid. I immediately had my vehicle towed from there to another business who did it for a third of the price and they listened, cared and understood the circumstance and knew my ultimate goal. Basically, an older vehicle and needed to get it repaired, presentable and driving but not only that, wasn't giving me a line of bull by saying 'parts are so expensive'. BOTTOM LINE, Superior Collision was gauging me on parts, labor and everything in between. You name it, they were charging me for it and on top of it, they have a clause in small print that says it doesn't include hidden or underlying issues that they don't see. So there could've been possibly more charges had I agreed to allow them to do the work. Honestly, I think they saw a woman in a dire situation who needed her car fixed and she was willing to pay and needed it done now and thought she'd foolishly pay it. And if this is I'm not sure what they have going on but I will never consider them in the future nor will I ever refer anyone there. I'm all for supporting local businesses but I can't and will not support businesses that take advantage of consumers who are placing their trust in them. They're in the business to help people and much of the time it's due to unfortunate situations and rather than help, they choose to do the opposite. Shame on them!

Honestly, it was a bad experience and they're even more untrustworthy than dealerships. I brought my car in for an oil change, tire rotation and to look into an acceleration issue I was having. When I got the call with the estimate from Chris, I was told I needed a new timing chain, that it was urgent and that it would be $5000. When I asked questions Chris was shifty and had very little details, and when I pressed for more answers he said if I didn't do it it wouldn't be drivable and that he does these "once a week with my kind of car". I felt very uneasy with him, didn't believe him, picked up my car (after paying $300 for the oil change, rotation and engine diagnostic which told them nothing) and brought it to the Honda dealer. The dealership ran a new diagnostic (for less money than superior charged me) and found the real issue. There's NOTHING wrong with my timing chain. There was a tear in an engine air tube that was causing the weakness, a $300 repair vs the $5000 superior wanted for a new chain. Superior just chose the easiest, most expensive thing to tell me without actually examining my car to see what was wrong. I sent an email to admin@superior and never received a response. They sent a text asking if I liked my service and when I said no and that I had complaints, there was no response. Really terrible service - and they didn't even fill up my tires with the correct amount of air. Who knows if they even rotated them?? I'll never go back. Don't trust them, and don't give them your money.

When I paid, it was $20 higher than the quote, and they hadn't added in the tax. The total bill at "dealer cost" was the UHaul price. The install without electrical took almost 3 hours; it makes me wonder if they just took it to UHaul. It wasn't a complicated job and I should have just gone to UHaul myself; it was closer to home and the total experience would have been less time. Lesson learned. UPDATE: I called John P. about his reply. When I made the original appointment Ryan wrote down one number of the VIN wrong. We corrected it the next day, but he forgot to give the correct VIN to whomever ordered parts. He was pleasant and fully admitted his mistake and offered me to do the work at the dealership cost. While I was really frustrated about a second trip, I liked how Ryan was a stand-up guy and owned the mistake and made amends, so I went back. John hadn't investigated any of this but I did like that he mentioned they took off the exhaust because the car was louder than normal. John turned me over to Deano and he offered to send a runner to my house to pick up the car and look at it. That solved my two issues; driving distance and time. They dropped the car back off a couple of hours later and it was back to it's normal sound level. Deano called and said they found the heat shield bolts in the front of the car were rusted and coming apart. They wired it up the best they could. I'm guessing either by putting the car on the lift or messing with the exhaust was all it needed to loosen the heat shields. Kudos to Ryan and Deano. I still feel this was a high end shop doing a simple job; it looks like they do a lot of body and electrical work. Felt like I was going to a plastic surgeon to have my nails painted.

I appreciate their recommendations like "If you're just driving around town, this will be fine, but if you're traveling out of state, you need this fixed," and "We could fix this now but it won't negatively affect your brakes and it would cost you a lot of money. Otherwise, we could fix it when you get your brakes replaced and you'll save on labor." (Paraphrased, but these are real things they've said that have been helpful.)
