It was completely wrapped in poison ivy vines that were 2" thick. Funny part here is Scott said he had passed by my shop many times and seen the tree with broken branches around it and knew it was a problem before I even called him. It was a battle getting it down but Scotts experienced crew knocked it out. Best tree service I have ever had. Highly recommend them if you need tree work. Price was great as well. We have a tree on our propriety line that the branches where touching our house that we have been TRYING to get taken care of for months. We had 5 - yes I said 5 OTHER tree companies out to give us estimates; another 2 never showed for the estimate. Two of which had true ripping you off prices. We scheduled the work with 3 other companies once in May, July, and September - non of which showed up to do the work. The Estimate. I had stopped the workers coming home from the store and asked if they could give me an estimate. They had me call the office and I talked to Jason who said he would be by in about 45 mins. Shortly after I got off the phone with Jason the workers stopped by to follow up with me on their way to lunch. Jason showed up about 15 mins earlier than he said which is was awesome. Took a look at the work and gave me a great price - Schedule me the same day since they were already int he neighborhood and the crew came back a few hours later. The Crew. These guys were awesome! First, they have some crazy amazing skills at backing the chipper and dump truck into a very tight space. They were quick, thorough, and left the work area cleaner than they found it. What was really awesome is they really made minimal noise for what they were doing as well. I work from home and they really didn't disrupt me at all in the process. Overall. There was very little room for error and the Mitchell Tree & Stump Service, Inc. did a fantastic job. I've used them several times before and they never let me down. Eugenio Cruz and his team showed up at 9 a.m. and were finished by 2 p.m., with an hour lunch break in between. They not only took down the 4 trees but also pruned another tree in the backyard, grounded up branch debris, hauled off numerous tree logs, and grinded the stumps into sawdust. I considered dropping my rating to two stars since a couple of additional items have surfaced in…read morethe clean up. First thing my husband noticed was that all of the pieces were cut at an angle. That makes it more challenging to split the wood. He said he would have expected the cuts to be straight. The second is the length of the pieces. You would expect the tree to be cut in to pieces that are around 20" or a multiple of that because 20" is about the length of firewood. Instead they seem to be about 30". Too short to cut in half and too long to split as is. So my husband is having to cut 10" or so off the end. I went with this company because I wanted to go with someone who had a quality reputation and they are local to my area. I am very disappointed. Would NOT recommend.

They were quick to respond to our inquiry and were out the next day to give an estimate that beat everybody else. Upon agreeing to hire them, they called the next morning and said they could have a crew out here within the hour. After showing up, they removed both trees, hauled off the wood, dumped it into their chipper, and conducted a thorough clean up of the area within 2.5 hours. They called me as requested when they arrived and began work right away. The tree had fallen over a decorative fence, and they successfully navigated the cuts without damaging said fence, When the cuts were all done, they loaded the wood on the trailer. cleaned up the area by raking, and overall did a great job. I will call them if I need tree work again, for sure.
