We've used Ken Lamb Tree Service for over 10 years and our most recent experience motivates me to leave an online review. We had a beautiful, maybe 100-yr old swamp maple tree in the front yard. On his last annual visit, Ken said it was okay although leaning a bit toward our house. Then he took a closer look, moved plants around the trunk and saw its roots. "It's dying. The roots at the surface indicate it's searching for oxygen." He and his crew (truly a well-oiled machine as another reviewer said) came out and spent 5-6 hrs. cutting it down without damaging any plants in my heavily planted yard - amazing! He's an aerial acrobat in the bucket and the ground crew's rope work was flawless. All limbs and leaves were taken away. Ken also has a Ph.D. in Botany so his knowledge of trees far exceeds that of other tree service personnel. Would give him 10 stars if we could. read more

Love this tree service company! I knew Ken Lamb and the crew years ago from working at Mick'ems Pick'ems. They were returning customers, but never needed the services. Years later 10+, I called because they were the ones I remembered. Ken came out for the estimate, walked the property with me. A tree company near me told me two of my trees were dying and a danger to me and my house. I had called them to have some limbs removed and suddenly I had all kinds of problems. shocked with a 15k quote my neighbor recommended Ken Lamb tree service. A very knowledgeable elderly man understood my need to have my house breathe and recommended a different plan-for 1800-and it included removing one of those trees. the work was done and cleaned up perfectl. now who is getting a rave review! We have 2 beautiful oaks on our property. They are both over 60 years old. We will be tearing down the existing building and rebuilding in a few years. The roots have come to the surface and the new build will need piers as to not damage the root system. We are also building 2 stories and needed the trees canopied as to not damage any lower limbs. Ken Lamb gave a very fair price for removing lower limbs and cleaning up. His crew worked like a well oiled machine. The tallest bucket could barely reach the upper limbs but with skill they were able to reach everything needing trimming. One very large limb was very close to another structure on the property. It was tied off and cut so well not even the extending branches touched the structure. Every limb struck the ground exactly where the crew wanted it to drop. Amazing work. We were given good advise about how to keep the trees safe when we build. We will ask Ken Lamb back before heavy equipment starts moving on the surface roots. They need to be protected from fungus or disease. He will also be there to treat the roots when the piers are dug for the new structure. I feel confident these beautiful oaks will live another 60 years with proper care and Ken's knowledge. read more

Ken's a good ole boy and he and his guys do great job. Removed dozens of stumps that were killing my mower and topped and removed a couple of other trees. Reasonably priced and friendly. Got my winter fire wood from him as well. read more

Terrible company. They have no regard for property. They do not complete the job as promised. Took them 7 weeks to come back and finish. Clean up and repair to property was horrible. Showed up whenever it suited them often when they knew no one would be there. The owner is a nightmare to deal with. The whole experience was terrible from start to finish. Had two very tall dead oak trees removed, one of which was very close to the front door stoop. Also had a good size "xMas" tree removed. In all cases they grinded the stumps and left the work area in good shape. Wanted to have more work done, but this work costed $3400 which was at far limit of what I wished to spend. It took four workers most of the day to complete the job which was done safely. read more
