I have been using Tree Times services since 2015 and have always been pleased with their work. A Tree Times crew came out today to prune my fruit trees and crepe myrtle trees. They also cut down three sickly trees. They did a wonderful job. All crew members were professional in their interactions with me and performed their duties with great care. On Saturday, a wind storm came through, uprooting a tree onto my house. Tragically, my husband was killed by the tree. I immediately called my insurance company and sent pictures of the tree's positioning from all angles. They contracted with a tree company, who showed they valued profit over everything else, by subcontracting to a company who clearly had no experience with trees. I did tell the company my insurance assigned that my husband died as a result of the fallen tree and sent the same pictures of all angles of the tree to them. You would think they would have used their own professionals, if they had any, to work on the project, or reject it because it was above their ability level. Nope. The subcontracted, unskilled workers came out at 5pm, while everyone on my street was meeting about how to help us in front of my house. Without moving any personal items out of the way, or protecting any landscaping, or my daughter's frog pond, they proceeded to climb onto the roof and hack away without any apparent plan. They did not use ropes to direct branches, or anchoring. The uprooted tree was leaning on the house. Anyone with half a brain would know to start with the top branches to lighten the load, while using the heavy root ball to their advantage. Nope. They cut from both ends at the same time, removing the root ball. This, of course, caused the tree to push down, snapping the ridge beam and pushing further into my house. By the time I got there on Monday morning, the tree trunk was precariously laying through my house, ready to cut it in half. Nothing was under it to support it, no tarps were laid over it to protect my house from the rain that was predicted and came. I called the previous company to ask what they were thinking, and tell them to cease work. The only smart thing that company did was to call Billy to fix their long series of mistakes. When Billy arrived, he was visibly upset by what the other company did. He immediately started making phone calls. He talked to someone from my insurance company, even though I was not yet assigned an adjustor, to get permission to start work. He promised me he would make it right that day, even if they had to work into the night. He also gave me the contact information of a disaster mitigation and rebuilding contracting company that he has worked with for 20 years and trusts. Spartan has been just as amazing as all of the crew at tree times. The storm felled trees in my neighborhood, affecting over 30 other homes. That caused a shortage in crews and cranes. Billy's team arrived that night, as promised. They were able to secure 2 cranes, which were necessary to now lift the tree trunk straight into the air, to prevent further damage. (I had gone into the house before and after the removal. It was as if someone had picked a toothpick off of a table. They somehow managed not to cause any further damage. Billy's team set up at around 5pm. They had the tree gone and the roof boarded up by 7pm. The team that tarps the house worked past dark, as promised, to prevent any further water damage. After reading an article, I also found out that Billy put off 3 other projects for me and my family. His 3 clients had heard about what happened and, when they requested to complete my job first, the clients said, "yes." I can't thank Billy, his crew, and those 3 families enough. That kindness and selflessness is not something I thought was common anymore. If you are looking for a tree company who not only does a great job, but cares, call these guys now. read more

Out standing service from an honest company. Billy came out to our property for a No cost inspection and provide an estimate on any work needed. Figured I would get the run around about how many trees needed to come down, he told us only three. As he was leaving the property they sent us the estimate for work. Impresses by his honesty and guidance, we reviewed the document and agreed. They then called and set up an appointment that fit our schedule. The crew showed up on time, and quickly got to work. Four trees down and all cleaned up by 2:30. Great team and protected other trees and our property. read more

We called Tree Times out for an estimate and Bill seemed very knowledgeable and gave us a great quote. We called to add another bush removal to the quote and the person who answered the office phone said he put the request on Bill's desk and we didn't hear back from them after repeated calls. Finally over a month later, we got another appointment scheduled to have Bill come out once more. Two hours after he didn't show I called the office and was told by the office person that they were just about to call me because he forgot Bill was supposed to attend an expo and was doing that instead of servicing a customer. read more

My property management company hired Tree Times to remove a limb hanging over my driveway. I had to schedule the date when they came out to remove the limb. When I expressed my concerns for the potential for property damage and how this was, what I felt , an urgent matter they were able to move me up on the schedule and come out expeditiously to remove the limb. After leaving a bad review I'm going to follow up with a great one and correct my wrong. Apparently Caleb was in a car accident on May 13, so this is why he never showed for our estimate appt.. Caleb just came to our home just now. He was a polite, well spoken young man, who was very concerned about righting the wrong of no one calling us to cancel our previous appt. He is a kind/ intelligent young man and gave us a great explanation of our stump situation. Thank you Caleb & Billy Kelley for showing us great customer service still exists. First: estimates are $50 not free ($50 comes off the bill if they get the job). Second: Service date can be several weeks from estimate. (Which gave me time to get more estimates and a much better rate from another certified, accredited and insured arborist. Third: Cancelling a scheduled service will cost you $325 Out $375 now but still saved money by other contractors much lower bid in the end... happy I looked elsewhere. read more

Nope, can't and won't recommend them. If you "schedule" an appt with them, it's the luck of the draw whether they will show up or not. Day of appt they'll call with some excuse as to why they can't show. Happened to our neighbor, then they complained and the company reschedule for 3 hrs later. With us they told us it was a medical excuse. Could have been true, but after talking to people in the community got the feedback that they do this a lot with people. And use these types of excuses over and over, again and again. They seem to have high rating for emergency call in, probably because they can charge more. Either way I wouldn't personally recommend them if you are scheduling an estimate call out. Not worth wasting your time, they don't respect your time. Waiting weeks to get someone out isn't worth it to me. But that's my personal opinion. Read all the reviews published and hidden to make your own decision. Storm on 6-29-19 had a large tree fall on my car port and deck. Tree Times was referred by Paul Davis Restoration (Fantastic) and they came and removed the tree. I don't mean they just removed it, you can't tell what crushed my property because they picked up everything. I mean they raked the lawn, picked up the sticks, everything. They even handled my insurance company and I paid nothing out of pocket (Shout out to USAA, the best). I highly recommend this company, fast, efficient, and well done. Thanks. read more

We had Tree Times come out today to cut some trees down to improve our view of the creek. Billy Kelley came by with a very professional group of tree guys. He knew exactly what we wanted and they went right to work. Those guys had a hard job as we live on a very steep hill. But they did an amazing job. Our view is gorgeous! Better than we ever dreamed!! We had an overgrown/growing into overhead lines tree taken down as well as several small and one large stump out. The work was done quickly, cheerfully, and professionally. 2 crews. One to take down the tree. One to grind the stumps. Had quite a bit of email correspondence with the office about having to rearrange times (guests/weather) and the person I communicated with was extremely helpful. The only reason for 4 rather than 5 stars was that yes, the written contract came in noticeably higher than the first estimate. But we knew that could happen. It was an estimate. Billy and his crew at Tree Times are wonderful to work with and went above and beyond to make sure the job was done in a safe, systematic, and professional manner. The foreman on my job took every opportunity to teach the other members of the crew how to do tasks the right way and always made sure they put safety first. Having asked them for a quote, the owner came out and quoted me around $795, but the written estimate was almost $1000. When they called to schedule, I told them I wasn't interested right now. A few days later they called again, and I told her I wasn't going to use the company because I felt it was too high of an estimate. Today, the owner calls personally, angry that he gave me a "fair quote" and challenging me why I didn't want to use them. I explained the same thing to him about the price, and he kept saying it was a fair quote, sounding more aggressive than I was comfortable with. I said that they've now called me three times knowing I'm not interested, and he sounded like he was just going off on me in a loud, aggressive, angry tone that it was a "fair quote!" and I'd "better choose a company that is licensed and insured, 'cuz they're not" (I think he thinks he's the only insured tree remover in the area?). His aggressive, hostile disposition was so unsettling to me, especially since he's supposed to be the owner of the company. I finally told him to stop calling me, but he wouldn't let me talk--he kept interrupting me and saying "Good. Go. Use a bad company, go use a bad company, go" or something on that level, as he was just talking over me telling him to leave me alone. It was a very strange hyper conversation that left me feeling bullied more than anything else. read more

Hired these guys for a 3rd job on our property and again, they did not disappoint. Scheduling was quick and easy. Prices are fair and reasonable. Saved us so much time, and backache! Heather in the office is great with communication. Billy is so professional and does whatever he can to make sure the job is done beyond expectation. Dalton came out Tuesday and ground a massive stubborn stump and root system, filled it back in, and cleaned up the entire yard, sidewalk, driveway after. Each time these guys come out, they leave the property looking better than it was when they arrived. Dalton was very professional, extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and made sure I was completely happy with the job along the way as I watched or checked in on progress and before he left. They were swamped answering calls but Billy was prompt to assess the damage and was out to remove the tree the moment the winds died down. I've used Tree Times twice (once in 2016) and this past week (2018). Both times the owner provided me a quote that was true to cost (what he quoted is what I paid). The owner showed up at the scheduled appts for the quotes and his team showed up on time and ready to work when scheduled. Both times his crews did an excellent job of removing the trees while at the same time ensuring there was no damage to the property. They actually left my yard cleaner than what it was before they arrived. They are the first ones I will call in the future to have any additional work done at my home. read more

They came out to give us an estimate the same day i called, but due to rain delays it took a while to get the work started. The owner usually answers the cell phone number which is posted on the website, but if not the office takes a message and he calls back. The only downside is a little hiccup dealing with property lines being unclear-but overall a good experience. I would work with them again. read more

Early the next morning (Father's Day), Billy put the tarp on the roof which provided insurance against further water damage. The tree removal and clean up was excellent. My brother recommended this company, because they did an excellent job of removing a dead tree hanging over his shed. I set up an appt. with the owner, and when he came out, he made recommendations on which trees needed work (besides the huge dead oak). The price was fair, the contract was signed, and the crew of four were outstanding in each of their duties. How the tree climber was able to take out a 100' oak without hitting my neighbor's mailbox 15' away from the oak is beyond me. I have had trees removed by companies before (and really got ripped off). Tree Times is the best. read more

If we had not had fence & shed damage you would not have known as huge a tree had come down. After a horrible thunderstorm last weekend we had a tree to fall in our backyard. I contacted Tree Times for an estimate. An appointment was scheduled very quickly, however: they failed to show up during the stated timeframe and worse yet did not call to explain. I phoned the next day to get a response that they got "tied up." Understandable, but there is no excuse for not contacting us out of simple courtesy. Heather, the woman who answers the phone, called me back later attempting to reschedule the missed appointment but offered one for 4 days later. Unacceptable and poor customer care!
