This was due to a toilet overflowing, from the master bath into the main level and the basement. The Semper Dry team arrived at 0330 to inspect the area. They arrived quickly, and were able to assemble a full team to return later that morning to remove the damaged floors and drywall. The team provided a peaceful "white noise" by placing 15-20 fans in the home for approximately 2-3 weeks. Leaving a one star as you have to leave something. Honestly being a military family we always try and support but this company did not come through. Never having to deal with a situation like this - you look to the professionals. Unfortunately "the professionals" prey on the people in crisis. We had a water pipe burst and it was shooting hot water out under the house. We got the pipe fixed but mold had already run rampant - SemperDry came out and we felt like we were in good hands. Initial meeting with Angel was great- felt like we would get things back to normal quickly. But man were we wrong. Things began to be ignored and questions never fully answered. Questions like why would you not remove the hot water heater as the floor was clearly damaged? Why would you not remove the wet soggy wall? Why would you not remove the cabinets but you removed the floor two rooms away bypassing the cabinets. Why when you found asbestos -you cut the floor at the cabinets and exposed the house. Why would you leave fans running for weeks and not check on them and the list goes on. They also pushed us to use CORE for pack out and let me tell you that the cost for what they did was insane. $39000 for packing and storing (badly as many items were broken or lost) -still waiting to hear back about this. Also forgot to mention our household items would be in Maryland and not even remotely close to us in VA. So we ended up having to hire a second contractor to come in and actually clean up from the extra damage caused by SemperDry. Displaced from our home for over 14 months. So SemperDry is a SemperNO for us . So do your due diligence- and if they push you to use CORE don't- rent a storage locker and hire some kids to move it... read more

Found out I had a water leak. The plumber I was using to fix my leak recommend Semper Dry. I was able to call them and they came to my place within a hour. They help explained the process and file a claim that day. The next day they able to start work on my unit removing damage floor, mold treatment and placing fans to dry out the area. The one star is because I cannot submit this review without one. I cannot recommend this company. They came out for a burst pipe issue that occurred on Christmas Eve. They advised me that the damage was substantial throughout my home and that in order to get the remediation/repairs completed my property should be packed up and put in storage. Having just had surgery, I stated that wasn't possible.At that point, Caleb recommended a company "Core" that does this work. That person contacted me immediately to make arrangements, stating I have coverage for this. I hadn't heard from my adjuster and was hesitant. But I was told the mold would only get worse. When I told Caleb I was reluctant and waiting to hear back, he stated I wasn't going to hear back from the adjuster anytime soon due to the massive amount of burst pipe/claims that had occurred during this time. My first adjuster was fired and he was the one who told me! This is how closely these companies work together. They seem to know exactly how things are going to go. They convinced me that my insurance would pay. I agreed to have the pack out come. I had never been in this position before. I trusted Semper Dry, especially with their excellent rating, I felt they would be honest. Well fast forward five months later, the condo is almost finished and we are set to return soon. However, my insurance company cannot justify paying Core $39,000 for the pack out. Yes, $39,000. This is just for packing and storage. No cleaning was needed or performed on my items.My insurance will only pay what they deem appropriate for the service provided, and it is nowhere near that. I usually and have always been very cautious of people and businesses , but somehow I felt like I was doing the right thing based on my interaction with Caleb and his recommendation for this pack out company. Because of this, I will be returning to my home... empty. No appliances, furniture, my clothes and worst of all family pictures. I am 61 years old, it's everything I own. Unless I get a lawyer which I can't afford, I'll never get my property back. And from what I'm told, it will be a tough fight to fight the way the laws are in Virginia.This company works closely with pack out companies, and trust me, they knew how Core operates. They are a scam and they know it. It has taken a lot for me to finally come on here and post this. But with realization that I will not get my property back I felt it was time. I am throughly impressed with Semper Dry!  One of my pipes froze in January during the large winter storm.  It was a small crack and two Handyman Services came out and could not locate the leak.  I thought the leak was from the roof, which had recently been replaced.  I finally called Semper Dry to start the water remediation. Cortland called and explained the process.  He arrived on time and immediately found the leak in the kitchen ceiling.  Over the next couple of days Semper Dry removed all the water damaged dry wall and hardwood flooring.  They were always professional, called prior to arrival, and showed up when they said they would. I had zero knowledge with this type of service prior to this experience.  I am so relieved that they were the company I called because they did a great job.  Not only did they locate the leak fast, but they saved a lot of material.  They also eased my mind in regards to future issues like mold. Semper Dry went above and beyond for our major water leak! Caleb answered our call, after hours on a holiday weekend and came out as soon as possible to assess the damage. Once the amount of damage was determined, an entire crew arrived the following morning to start demo and drying. Over the course of 8 days, every single team member that came was extremely polite, knowledgeable and went above and beyond to make sure we knew what the process entailed as well as making sure we had guidance for the next steps. In a little over the past year, we've had two incidents of flooding in our basement and kitchen. David Cheramie and his colleague, Josiah (I think that's his name), were prompt and thorough - and kind, amiable, and empathetic - in doing their job. I need to clarify my responses to a couple of questions above: although we would absolutely recommend them, no - we technically did not hire them. They were hired for us by Marines Plumbing, to dry out the kitchen and basement (on the two separate occasions) before Marines did their work. As David and Josiah did their work, they kept us informed as to why they were doing their work a certain way, how long we had to leave the fans in place, and every other detail we needed to know to help them give us the outstanding service they did.
