Due to the total lack of competence and inability to follow through on a simple requests, in addition to rude comments including, "whatever it still tastes the same", "oh well take it or leave it" from one of the managers we will never be returning to this establishment. We have been going to RJs for many years. We usually get delivery so I don't have too much to say on their service. The food is always pretty good but sometimes a bit pricey. We just had some of the new menu items and they were amazing! My husband had the reuben and I had the chicken caprese sandwich. Well worth the price. Yuck, yuck yuck. Only gave it a one because you can't rate zero. Used to be good pizza. Last three times asked for crust to be done crispy. We love Wayne's Pizza. It is definitely the best in the area. We order here from here at least twice a month and have no longer ordered pizza from any other place in town because it is never as good as Wayne's. Thier red cream soda is sooo good. read more

I can only speak for the pizza here because i'ts so awesome I wouldn't try anything else. They have a special for like $5 for a drink and two slices. Great taste and awesome value. Oh and they're across the street from CLC so if you're hungry before or after class, this is for you. Their pizza in the case is 95% fresh and crispy, which is why they didn't get 5 stars; occasionally it is soggy, but the employees will always volunteer to crisp it up in the oven a bit, or make a fresh pie, especially the owner / manager who is a real character. read more

This was an unexpected, but good choice! I was a little unsure but I've passed by multiple times and figured I'd give it a try! I ordered chicken tenders and a slice of thin cheese pizza and really enjoyed it, however, they've got a wide selection of food. Pizza is a tad on the greasy side but delicious nonetheless. I also enjoyed the service, and caught a few employee names who were so kind. Karen was hilarious, Lindsay was super attentive and made sure we were ok, and Matt was extremely nice and welcoming. Always went to Wayne's on my lunch break from school when I was younger. I would always get the deep dish & thin crust combo with fries. You could never beat the price and quality. As in other reviews I agree with the great sauce, cheese, and toppings. I met the owner one time I was there and a real nice guy. They also gave a discount to students from College of Lake County when I made the trip there. Great stop if you driving down Route 45 with a need to serve your hunger. read more

If you asked me a year ago who had the BEST pizza in the Gurnee area I would have said Wayne's hands down........ BUTTTTTTT They've changed their crust...I would almost say is was pre-made cardboard saucer with tomato paste. 85% of the time the pizza is burnt in some manner. Cheap eats for high school kids..... They messed up my order the first tike I ordered from here, which i guess happens from time to time so I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a second time out of sheer respect for local family run businesses. I have been ordering from here for two years now and have become pretty fond f he place. The staff is nice and has not messed up my order since that fist time. The pizza itself is pretty average but delicious regardless. The place wears it's age well with an honest sort of dinginess. If you like the feel of small family owned restaurants that have been around for a while this is the place to order from. read more

Yes it may be a little longer wait, but all the great pizza places are, thats how you know they are so good.

My kiddos are not a fan of the pizza. But if you are looking for a quick slice this is the place to go. Staff were very nice and looked like they have a good time working here. We will be back to try other items on the menu - good selection and not as expensive as Bill's. read more

Pizza is pretty good. Very greasy and it seems like some of the employees aren't coherent. It has smelled like weed a few times I was there, and I saw some smoke as people came in from the back. Food is good, but could be a lot better and the place is either kinda clean or dirty. I'm not too sure about this place anymore. Ranges from good, to kinda bad. Always loved Waynes but.... now...they have changed a bit..Waynes always had good crust good cheese good sausage and one thing Waynes did was have large hunks of sausage... that was the Wayne way...now its little pieces like on a frozen pizza... it taste ok but not great not like before..... I'm sorry I'm going to disagree with the four and a half Stars I stopped their the other night I had a pizza a milkshake and a cannoli. Pizza had hardly any flavor. their was hardly any sauce. Very little sausage. The milkshake Taste of like they made it with Nestle Quick mix. it was thin like choc milk. and the cannoli was pretty good except for it was chocolate with chocolate chips. What's your definition of a cannoli? They had these industrial-size fan is blowing in the dining room you could hardly hear your self who's the genius who came up with that idea. Have been a long time customer of Wayne's. Last pizza was uncooked and tasted horrible. Called the manager and he admitted "they were busy and could not keep the ovens hot and when the ovens are not hot the pizza doesnt taste good" did not offer to make us another pizza and could only offer a 3 dollar credit because that is all Wayne would allow. We told them to keep their 3 dollars because we will not be going back. read more

Pizza was so-so, place was dirty. Stepped in pizza on the floor when standing near the counter to order. We ate there after cleaning off a table ourselves. We were there about an hour and a half and NO ONE ever came out to clean the tables - all of which were dirty. I will never go back there. read more

They always make it the way i want.. their sauce is out of this world! even their malts are delicous... i don't think i have ever had anything bad from Waynes...try the cheese fries.. pasta... whatever.. you won't be dissatisfied! students get a 10 percent discount w/ id... and prices are reasonable.. they have pizza by the slice and the biggest variety of sides and toppings! i can't say that i have been always satisfied w/ the service.... but it hasn't been that bad either! i have all my friends and fam try it.. and even if we aren't in the area.. we are willing to travel far for Wayne's Pizza!! read more

Let me start by saying the food was great the first time I was there last week. I have been there a total of 3 times this week. The other two times I ordered the same thing and they made it differently and smaller. When I got home today I was very upset when I open the bag it was not what I was expecting. Another thing I say to myself is it okay to argue with a customer. They used to say the customer was always right. Business owners need to ask themselves who is more valuable to my business. A customer who spends money or an employee who creates the value. Customers and employer are valuable. Employees should always listen to the customer and be professional and patient when the customer is talking. I am very disappointed the last two times I was at this establishment. All I can say is I was expecting my order to be made the same way as the first time. Hopefully if I decide to give you another chance I hope my order will be correct the way I would like it to be. I am being nice by giving you three stars. I am taking away a star I was there 2 days ago and again they made my order differently. I have been here the total of 4 times in the last month and every time they make the same order differently and I have taken pictures and showing them to my friends and they cannot believe it either. I gave you one more chance and you blew it. I won't find another place to get my food where they prepare it the same way every time. read more

Wow is all I have to say!! If they a make mistake its your problem. They lack customer service. My husband and I ordered a pizza and the girl working, Obviously didn't hear and or care what we wanted to order. We didn't get the right pizza and anyone could tell we were confused at the pizza we just received. We told them that the pizza was not right and they told us that we ordered a pan pizza. We did not, I ordered word for word 16 inch thin crust ham pizza. I remember having to repeat the topping. I'm going to assume maybe she thought ham was pan but hard to explain ignoring the 16 inch THIN that I stated. We tried making the best of it and had to ask for something to serve with. They gave us a spatula. We then had to ask if there was extra cheese. There was so much cheese you couldn't taste any thing else. It was making me gag, it was disgusting. I had two bites and I wanted to throw up. We threw out almost a whole pizza. My husband complained to them about it and the gentleman said he would credit us for the next time we came in. Today my husband called to order and use the credit which we thought would be for a pizza. Nope found out it was only $5. Forget it we hung up and decided to go somewhere else. The owner called back with attitude and had no care for the customer. I'm sorry you feel if giving away a pizza is going to hit your bank hard on your business. Same goes for me paying for a pizza I can't eat that I had to throw out. I had no choice you made me throw away money. I'm not looking for any thing free I just want what I payed for that you did not give me. I will happily go to a new place where they are happy to make what I ordered. read more
