We came in to try this pizza as other places were closed on Mondays. Ava was our server; she was super nice and brought us water right away and she brought me a sample of one of the draft beers. We ordered a pizza - special 1/2 price with a beverage. The pizza arrived and was very tasty and thin crust but the crust was not homemade. That being said it was crispy and the toppings were delicious and the pizza was perfectly cooked. It's a very rustic, relaxed place and plenty of customers were dining today. I would eat here again. Ava took good care of us and was very nice, friendly and made our experience enjoyable. read more

Kaiser's Pizza & Pub - Mushroom, onion and Sausage - Pizza Near Me - Gurnee, Illinois

Good pub style pizza always fresh and ready on time good ingredients. Friendly staff.

We ordered a pizza and specifically asked that the cheese NOT be browned. Unfortunately, when I picked it up, the entire pizza was literally burnt. It was so overcooked that we couldn't eat it. I returned the pizza and asked for a refund. They offered to make another one, but I was told it would take another 25-30 minutes. After already waiting and dealing with the inconvenience, I simply didn't want to wait that long, so I left and had to go somewhere else to buy food. What was especially disappointing was the lack of customer service. This experience completely ruined our evening, and considering the inconvenience and frustration, I expected some type of gesture from the restaurant--perhaps a voucher or coupon for a future pizza. Other well-known Chicago pizza places, such as Giordano's and Lou Malnati's, understand the importance of making things right when a customer has a bad experience. Unfortunately, this restaurant did nothing to make up for the situation. A burnt pizza can happen, but how a business handles a mistake says a lot about its customer service. Based on this experience, I will think twice before ordering from here again. read more

When I asked my FB pizza group where to go for Chicago- style thin crust pizza, the vast majority said "Kaisers"! Well, they were right. Thinnest, crispness crust I've ever had - and I've had many! Very good garlicky sausage and cheese to the edge. I don't get out to Gurnee very often nowadays but next time I'm within 10 miles of it, I'm headin' for Kaisers. read more

My favorite thin crust pizza in the Northern Illinois suburbs. Absolutely delicious. Always have great service, delicious pizza and great beer selections. Just wish the actual dining area was a bit bigger. read more

Great neighborhood pub! We met up with some friends at Kaiser's for some grub & football watching on a Thursday night. We didn't want to sit in the lively and pretty packed bar simply because we wanted to catch up so we opted for the dining room. Kaisers did a nice job putting TVs around where everyone could see while dining. The servers were all very friendly. I will acknowledge that maybe more training could be done to improve their skills and efficiency but they were so nice and trying hard, so, I'm reluctant to complain. The prices on the food seemed a little high but I can only assume it's bonafide to support their costs. That being said- the food was really good and you could tell they put some love into it. On Thursdays they have pot roast specials, and the pot roast dinner was great! ($12!) Husband had steak sandwich which he enjoyed. Friends had small pizzas- they looked great and the guys seemed to enjoy them. Drinks were reasonably priced and they had a fair amount of specials. Beers around $4-$5 / cocktails around $8. I had the "autumn mule" with Jameson, OJ, etc and it was really enjoyable. Parking was plentiful and the location was easy to access. Overall we really enjoyed this restaurant and would definitely come again! If you're in the area and poking for a good locally owned restaurant & pub- give Kaiser's a try! Enjoy! read more

Food amazing and service even better when super busy!! Great variety of food- love the BLT pizza especially!!

Kaiser's is your friendly neighborhood pub. It's a small place when you walk in to the left is a dining room area and to your right is the bar. Went with a few friends and we were seated right away. They weren't very busy but it seemed like it took awhile for our waitress to come and take our order. We ordered their wings as an appetizer. Half bbq half Buffalo. They were your average wings. The pizzas we got half and half speciality ones. Including their taco, bbq chicken, Buffalo chicken. The bbq chicken was my favorite out of them. But as far as pizza places go they serve a good pizza just on the expensive side of things. read more

Been here several times now, always good. Always super good service. The pizza is among the best in town. They also do a very good burger and I really like the Italian sausage sandwich with sweet peppers. Decent selection of drafts. We will continue to go here. read more

When I was a kid (80's) all pizza was like this. It was perfect. Now pizza like that is really hard to find. Kaiser's is that pizza. It's that good, it's that consistent. Lots of locals. Fun young staff. It's a great time. read more

I saw this place had a good fish fry so we wanted to try. Horrible, the fish was over fried and taste less. I ordered a Caesar salad with shrimp and told the bartender/ server I was avoiding fry food and the shrimp was deep fried on the salad. I complained which I hate to do but I've worked in the industry for 25 years. Emil's has a way better fish fry & clam chowder. I won't return even though I know their know for their pizza. read more

The double decker pizza was absolutely amazing! We're from the southwestern suburbs of Chicago and were up here staying in a nearby hotel, and honestly I want to come up here again just for this pizza. Besides how great the double decker was, the thin crust was really good and crunchy, and the fried green beans were fantastic. We also got the fried Mac and cheese, which was ok, but would skip in the future. read more

One of our go to for pizza and sandwiches!! Excellent food that's consistent in taste and quality! Service wether to go or eat in always top notch read more

Our favorite thin crust pizza in the area, whether carryout or delivery. Leftovers freeze well and taste even better reheated. No matter the toppings, the pizza has a perfect sauce/crust/topping ratio. We like to have it pie-cut rather than squares and have never had an issue ordering it that way. Kids love it, and they're a little picky about sauce and spice. read more

Love Kaiser's pizza!! Love the atmosphere and the friendly staff. Service is typically very good!!

Love this pizza. The Kaiser's special is fabulous and the staff is great. The mushroom appetizers are great and it's a special place to get pizza. Don't be intimidated by the number of cars in the parking lot because most of them are in the bar. read more

Stopped by on Sunday for lunch. Pizza was okay, service was okay, and the interior definitely gave off a dive atmosphere. I was a bit grossed out by several dead flies on the sill of the window that I was sitting to. I don't feel the need to head back to Kaiser's again any time soon. read more

Good tasting pizza, the wings are good but not spicy at all. I would like their wings to have more of a kick to them. The pizza was actually really good, I would order from here again. read more

This is the first good pizza I have found up north! I was living in the city prior, a few people recommended kaisers to me and I am so happy they did! The food is delicious and while I've only gotten takeout the inside looks fun! read more

Although I love a thin sausage, mushroom, green pepper and onion pizza I stopped getting them due to all the veggies making it soggy. Since I never had one here I decided to go for it. SMGO crispy. Gotta tell you it was great, and worthy of five stars. No soggy pizza here. It was perfectly cooked. I think the reason they get it right here is the veggies are sliced thin eliminating a lot of the moisture and allowing the oven to cook out some of the water leaving the whole pizza cooked evenly. I'm really looking forward to having another one when I'm in the area. read more

My second pizza from Kaiser's. Phenomenal! Pizza (sausage and onions) was just as great as my first try 3 months ago. Great consistency. Great service too. Got there 15 minutes before opening, but the staff was friendly and helpful and took my order anyway. Great food and great service keep people coming back! Way to go Kaiser's! read more

Shout out to to Kaiser's crew! Ordered 10+ pizzas on Saturday. Cooked to perfection and ready at pick up time! Made everyone's day!!

The prices are outrageous, the servers are extremely untrained, the management would rather chat with their friends than take care of paying customers read more

Great place. Was thrilled to find an alternative to Barnaby's. Got the Kaiser's special which was tasty but had too many ingredients. Next time I'm doing one side just cheese and the other side sausage. Less is more when the crust is that good! read more

Beer nuggets!!! my husband, and I love their cheesy garlic bread, beer, nuggets, and Kaiser special pizza. We are never disappointed.

I've been going to Kaiser's since I was in high school, back in the mid-80's. We used to get a group of friends together every tues or thurs night (it's been awhile, so I forget offhand which night it was) for the all you can eat pizza night. We'd all smoke a few trees ;) and go there and eat about a hundred pizzas. Good times. I've only ever really had the pizza there, and though taste in pizza is often very subjective, the pizza at Kaiser's is excellent. IMHO only beaten (slightly) but the infamous Quonset in Waukegan. My mom on the other hand, goes back and forth on whether she prefers Quonset or Kaisers, so that's how close they are. lol read more

We keep giving this place a chance but I'm always disappointed. I'm not a fan of their pizza so I keep trying other stuff but I have to stop. This time I got the chicken strip appetizer. For $10 you only get 3 incredibly thin strips, over-breaded with barely any meat and fatty. I ate one and threw the rest out. Bummed. My dad said the ribs were okay, but the fries were cold, over-seasoned, and soggy. I know a lot of people love their food so maybe we're just picky, I don't know. read more

Pizza is fantastic/such a crisp crust. The service is very attentive and professional.,,

Went Kaiser's for lunch the other day. Had been quite a while since my last visit. My dining partner suggested we go to the Gurnee location as it's easier to get to than the Kenosha location. Pizza was decent, not quite as good as I remember. Toppings were very sparse. However, their prices have really gone up. One large three topping pizza, one medium three topping pizza and two draft beers, $63 dollar tab. Unfortunately it will be a long time before I return. read more

It's my favorite place for pizza. All their other food is great too. The staff is awesome. The bar is a fun place (great bartenders), and everyone knows your name and fun is had by all. The ambiance is awesome - just sit, relax, laugh, enjoy music and sports, and make a lot of new friends - what more could you ask for. read more

Great pizza & friendly service! We had a thin crust cheese & sausage & it was just as expected great!!

Add more Cheese! It is good pizza! This is one of the few around here that I like! Only wish they had more cheese on them!

Went and ordered pick up this past weekend. Usually love Kaisers but this time around it seemed a bit different. The sausage pizza was good. The BLT pizza felt a bit salty. I order 12 BBQ wings and they were "good" not great but they were also $24 which was more than what the menu said. I know wings prices have gone up but these were not $2 a piece wings. I would most likely not order the wings again. read more
